The Tale

Prologue

His father wasn't present in his life, and his mother frequently came in and out of his life. He was raised by his grandmother and grandfather. His grandfather proved to be a cruel stallion, with one eye white as the snow. Always he would watch Vulture with his one good eye, but the young colt could see the white eye just looking. A delusion began to form in his mind, this eye could see directly into his soul. It was unable to see that of the physical world and was gifted with sight into the spiritual.

At the age of three, Vulture turned on his grandfather. He killed the stallion with the eye that could see into his soul. Without any hesitation he fled away from the land that was associated with memories filled with abuse of all kinds. He found his own way into the world, scraping by on his own. Averting those with the eyes that can see into the soul.

Helovia Birdsong: Year Three

*Avoid The Filmy Eyes - Wandered into the Threshold. Met Lena of the Aurora Basin, and Seele of the Asylum. Rejected the offer of to join the basin, and accepted the offer of joining what Seele referred to as a 'safe haven'. Wasn't trusting of Seele or this safehaven, but decided to wait and see what would happen.

Helovia Tallsun: Year Three

*Am I A Good Man? Am I A Madman? - Wandered into the Deep Forest. Began to question his sanity and raving about how he wasn't mad. Met Ghost, held a long conversation with the mare, and developed an intrigue about the mare, finding her to be an interesting creature.
*Musings Of The Mad - Met Circuta in the Spectral Marsh, once again finding himself unsure of his mental state.
*It's Only A Reflection - Met Abishia in the Deep Forest. Wondered what a child was doing on his own, found out she had been abandoned by her mother just like himself. Offered to protect the child.
*This Is Where I Found You - Met Africa, discovered the concept of companions.
*Come Forth All Ye Madmen - Wandered into the Spectral Marsh, decided to be a smart-ass, which backfired big time when Eris popped out of the woods with threats. Met Eris, Seiren, Arlo, and Histe. Noted them all as bad news.
*Dark Doo Wop - Attended herd meeting
*Till Death Do Us Part - Attacked Aurelia believing her to be the Sin's 'bride', The Temptress. Discovered she was no such thing, let her go. Ended up suffering from a severe mental breakdown. Fled toward the Threshold, planning to runaway from Helovia for good.
White Bones and Black Souls - Upon his decision to flee Helovia, he runs into the Threshold, where he finds Hecate and Helleborr.
Rebirth - After his encounter with Hecate and Helleborr flees to the Endless Blue feeling his mind crumbling. Contemplates drowning himself in the waves, but finds himself wanting to live with the guilt rather than facing hell. This is when he hears Kestrel and Nightingale for the first time, the voices in his head.
