Leander is of draft-build; a heavy, well muscled stallion, with feathers coating his fetlocks. His pelt is sooty palomino, with dark points on the legs and muzzle. Various nicks and scars cover his coat, the dark reminders of a violent past. A strange, pale crescent marks his right hindquarter. Brilliant gold eyes stare out from his noble face, with thin, white markings circling each. His massive wings are dark mahogany, with some feathers tinted black or highlighted golden brown. At 17.3 hands, he is a looming, intimidating sight.

Ember is a beautiful young Golden Eagle. Her feathers will mature to be dark brown, like Leander's own wings, but currently are splotched with white patches of baby down. As she grows, the dark brown feathers around her head and underbelly will take on a gold sheen. Her eyes are keen, unwavering bronze.

Leander was born into a small herd, composed of pegasus and equines. His dam was loving and the herd was as comfortable as any. His seasons as a foal were fairly normal and uncomplicated, up until he was nearing a year old. It was then that his life was torn.
A unicorn, a stallion, a beast. The foul creature, driven by a hatred of pegasi, ambushed Leander and the herd. Most of the herd turned and ran, but Leander was dealt a bad hand by lady luck that day. The unicorn attacked him with powerful blows, slashing with the talon on his brow. Leander managed to escape with his life, but was left with the large, crescent scar and an imprint on his young mind. That day, he vowed revenge on the unicorn. A futile vow, as the unicorn was never to be seen again. However, Leander developed a deep mistrust of unicorns in general. He spent his next few years wandering in violence, gaining experience and strength by fighting with anyone who would spar. His travels finally lead him into a new land; Helovia.

- Met Faelene in the Frozen Arch and starts to develop a frustrating desire for her.

- Met Wuthering Heights and brought her home to the Throat.
- Attacked the Edge herd in the Qian Invasion and emerged victorious.

- Met Faelene back in the Frozen Arch after the Edge Invasion and professes love for her (after some arguing).
- Met Ricochet and Insanity in the Threshold. Dislikes Ricochet.
- Meets privately with Kri in the Throat, discusses concerns of ex-Edge future retaliation.
- Meets young Nefertari and Amenhotep in the Threshold and agrees to be a surrogate father to them. Also accepts Montague into the Throat.
- Meets Irene and Jackal in the Threshold, has angry encounter with Korra.
- Meets Lynx and Shatter in a group in the Threshold and accepts Shatter into the Throat.
- Attends mandatory herd meeting and is appointed Sultan of the Dragon's Throat by Kri!
- Is possessed by an ice demon while caring for Nefertari and Amenhotep!
- Meets Yiska in the Threshold and brings him home to the Throat.
- Encounters Phaedra in the Heavenly Fields. Becomes angry and summons snowstorm which minimally injures her.
- Meets with Bazilisk, prisoner Psyche, and Kri in the Throat. Is upset by Kri's chastising.
- Meets Aitheria in the Threshold and brings her home to the Throat.
- Rescues Golden Eagle chick from burning tree. Bonds with chick and names her Ember.
- Meets Faelene on the Throat Border, speaks with her briefly then leaves for fear of harming her.
- Meets with Aitheria in the Throat. Vents some of his problems with her.
- Ice Demon possession ends. Meets Faelene in the Endless Blue.
- Greets Svetlana in the Throat, and learns of her recent loss of position as Chieftess of the Foothill's.
- Meets with Kri to discuss current events, realizes that he cannot lead beside Kri and decides to leave the Throat, resigning from his title of Sultan.
