His mixed heritage leaves this massive stallion with a rather... unusual appearance. Huge leathery wings sprout from his shoulders, lightly scaled along the 'arm' and 'fingers' of each appendage. A long and heavy tail, clearly draconic in design and easily the length of his body, is held suspended behind him. Heavy and durable scales protect his lower neck and chest, continuing along his underbelly and long his tail to end in a sharp spur at the tip. His golden eyes are cat-slitted, the only discrepency on his otherwise equine face, unless you happen to notice the unusally long canines that lend toward supporting an omniverous lifestyle. While he does sport a heavy and luxuriously long mane which extends the length of his spine and along his tail to create a tassel on the end which partially obscures the spur there, he also possesses bony spines that sprout at regular intervals along that same path, beginning just behind his poll and just barely visible above the tangle of hair. In coloration he is a handsome copper bay. His mane and tail tassle are black, as are his legs from knee to hoof, while his body is a bright orangish red everywhere but where the scales lie. Those in turn are clearly bronze, a darker and browner hue than the rest of him.

On his left shoulder he bears the marking of a white dragon, wings lifted in frozen flight up toward his neck, its tail trailing back toward his leg. He is proud of this marking, for it was painted permanently on him by the Matriarch of Helovia's wild dragons in return for a completed task.
Across his right side from shoulder to flank he is marked by gold where he was burned by the Sun God while defending Rishima, Madryn and Maskan. It is shaped somewhat like a tapering, filigree fireball that is largest and rounded on his shoulder and diminishing to a few fluttery points on his flank.

Mother was a silver dragon, able to shape-shift into a silver amber champagne equine.

Vikram is from a land in the far south, where dragons grow to awesome sizes and possess queer magicks. His sire was an equine seized by wanderlust, who unintentionally got tangled up with a shape-shifting silver dragon and sired a child on her in a wild night of passion before moving on. As his mother was in truth a dragon, the colt was not born of live birth, but instead proved his strength and worth by hatching from an egg amidst a number of regular hatchlings that were his siblings by a bronze dragon who was his mother's true mate. Because of his difference, Vikram was shunned from the little family, though his mother continued to provide for him in secret until he was strong enough to set out on his own. He seeks some place to fit in, but never really expects to find it, and keeps his homeland a secret to protect his distant kin from curious sightseers, and curious sightseers from his kin. A twisted circle, you know. In Helovia -Enters the Threshold where he meets Mirage and Akaith and chooses to join them. -Spars with Noise on the beach and wins. -Follows Mirage to the Spectral Marsh and meets Gossamer, Lazulli, and Poppy there. -Seeks out Mirage again and finds her with Torasin after Tor's encounter with Ra. -Affected by Akaith's rising, seeks out Mirage and stumbled across her in heat. Torasin also arrives, as well as Mirage's sister Rishima. -COTM for April 2012! -Ventures to Veins of the Gods to seek magic, is set a task. -Travels to the Heavenly Fields and seeks out the Matriarch, is set another task. -With the aid of Mirage and Akaith, finds a shell worthy of the Matriarch at Endless Blue, and brings it back to her, earning himself a marking of a white dragon on his shoulder. -Upon bringing back the shells the Matriarch had given him to the Sun God, he is told to fetch lava stones from the ocean floor. -Speaks to the sea dragon Jörmungandr at the Endless Blue, who gets the lava stones for him and gives Mirage an amulet for all her aid. -Akaith helps him carry the lava stones back to the Sun God, who promptly uses magic to painfully line Vikram's throat with the shells and stones, giving him the ability to breathe fire in the process. -Comes across Mirage and Akaith speaking to Brooke in Thistle Meadow, and Torasin finds them all there. Witnesses Torasin and Brooke renew their love. -Lured by Mirage's singing into the Deep Forest, he speaks with her and they admit their love for one another. -Heeds Mirage's summons to the Forest to meet the Qian and be established as their Wingleader, then joins her on her way to the Veins to speak with Moon and Earth.
