Ranks

Herd Ranks
1. - Leaders are denoted by the diamond symbol next to their name. Each herd is allowed up to 2 herd leaders. Herd leaders can be removed after 30 days without posting and are free to organize their herd as they see fit. Herd leaders can choose any of the following rank magics and can choose a bonus on their stats. Please see the stats update thread in the updates board for more information.
  • War Stomp: A single stomp of the hoof can lightly rattle the ground and throw an opponent off balance.
  • Warrior's Spirit: The spirit of the warrior within can dull the pain from an attack or decrease the chance of an attack hitting.
  • Clear Mind: Able to calm the tensions around a situation in any given thread, except in battle.
  • Gilded Tongue: Able to craft a lie that is believable in any given thread, except in battle.
  • Chameleon: Able to turn invisible, except in battle. This character can observe any thread and post, with permission, without being noticed by the other characters.

2. - Wise Ones are individually denoted by symols according to their herd. They often tell tales of myths and legends about the gods or past leaders, and each herd has a shrine in which they can commune with the herd god. An admin controls the response to the Wise Ones' requests of knowledge. Each herd only has one Wise One appointed by application with admin approval and herd leader input. In addition to their powers of divining, the Wise Ones can choose the magic of any other herd rank, allowing them to be warrior, crafting, or healing based characters of wisdom.

3. - Healers are denoted by the medkit icon. Only three healers can live in each herd and are appointed by the herd leaders and the gods bestow upon them healing magic. Each herd has their own type of healing magic individual to the god that sponsors/favors that particular land. The healing magic given with the rank ability cannot be used in individual battles.
  • Dragon's Throat: "Sun Physician" Sponsored by the Sun God, the Physician of the Dragon's Throat can heal others by breathing a flame that is white in color and very hot on their wounds.
  • World's Edge: "Moon Doctor" Sponsored by the Moon God, the Doctor of World's End can heal others by bathing their wounds with a torrent of windy darkness.
  • Hidden Falls: "Earth Medic" Sponsored by the Earth God, the Medic of the Hidden Falls can heal others by wrapped their wounds with muddy vines summoned from the earth.
  • Aurora Basin: "Time Mender" Sponsored by the Time God, the Time Mender of the Aurora Basin can heal others by resetting the timeline of their body.

4. - Crafters are denoted by the wrench icon. There are only two crafters per herd that are ordained with herd-related crafting magic. A crafter can create 3 small items (chains, beads, etc), 2 medium items (pieces of armor, boxes, etc), or 1 large item (armor, gate, etc) per season.
  • Dragon's Throat: Forger. The God of the Sun bestows upon a crafting character of the Dragon's Throat the ability to wrought metal into various shapes by using the Seer's fire. They are immune to the lick of flames and cannot be burned, and they use a type of telekenesis to form the metal into shapes.
  • World's Edge: Glazier The God of the Moon bestows upon a crafting character of the World's Edge the ability to mold from shadows and starlit waters the substance of glass. Transparent and reflective, glass shines like the moon above and can be made to have smooth or sharp edges, to shatter or withstand.
  • Hidden Falls: Mason The God of the Earth bestows upon a crafting character of the Hidden Falls the ability to cut and manipulate rock. This ability can be used to make walls and structures, jewelry and sculptures.
  • Aurora Basin: Weaver The God of the Spark bestows upon a crafting character of the Aurora Basin the ability to weave and create textiles. The ability can be used to make blankets, tents, rope and other useful, fiber-based creations.

5. - Theives are denoted by the eye icon. Each herd is allowed only two sneaks. The sneaks are responsible for watching the "Stealth Board" and blocking characters from being stolen. Only the two sneaks with rank magic and the leads are allowed to respond to stealth board riddles and can choose one rank magic. This class also recieves a stat boost.
  • Chameleon: Able to turn invisible, except in battle. This character can observe any thread and post, with permission, without being noticed by the other characters.
  • Stealth Block: Gains an additional guess on the stealth board, useable once a month and only one use per stealth (per herd). First come first serve.
  • Lie Detect: Can tell if a character is lying. Must be used with the other character's consent and can only be used once per thread.

6. - Warriors are denoted by the crosshair icon. Each herd is allowed five warriors. In the case where an active character with more VP desires a rank with rank magic, the space should be given to this character automatically, or a duel should take place. Warriors get a stat boost and can choose one of the following rank magics.
  • Battle Cry: Can utter a confidence-shattering cry once during battle that will shake an opponent's resolve and increase the chance/strength of one of your attacks.
  • War Stomp: A single stomp of the hoof can lightly rattle the ground and throw an opponent off balance.
  • Warrior's Spirit: The spirit of the warrior within can dull the pain from an attack or decrease the chance of an attack hitting.

Other Ranks
1. Outcast. This rank is allowed to all members without question, but you do not receieve any herd benefits and must look out for yourself for stealths and battles. It's dangerous to go alone!
2. Deceased. Characters with more than 50 posts can request this rank upon their death. The account remains a piece of Helovian history.
3. Absent Abyss. Characters you want to save but cannot post anymore go in "AA" for up to 8 months. Request this rank chance in the absence board!
4. OOC Account. Self explanatory! This is your OOC account, not a character.
