The Freshman [open] - Official - 08-12-2012 Sanslay February 29th, 2012 at 3:35pm The duns muscular body seemed to stand out in the thin flakes of snow. The fall of such frozen liquid brought back memories that no one should ever remember. That war was apart of him now, the blood that stained his coat (even though it became invisible), stained him inside too. He promised to never stoop so low again but watch when the bugle sounds he will be the first on duty. Hard, heavy, and loud hoofprints beat across the blanketed ground. The crunching not hard to miss. He recognized something here. The way the trees formed. It was like the gateway to his homeland, far away of course. The steam rolled from the craters in his long face. Sanslay was a creature of majesty. A god in the form of an equine king. This stallion was inside royalty. Someone who could lead well and be passionate at the same time. It was a nice thing truly. He was something not found peculiarly in a stallion. He was different, compationate and loving, but at the same time a pure asshole in charge. Its hard to explain. As he walks through this emptied, dead, broken forest something hit him inside. That mare. They fell in love, and for the life of him he can not remember what made him think it was wise. Why she had to go he'll never know. Why it was her time he'll never understand. Why she disappeared from the face of this planet, well he'll never forget her. Dodging slowly through the trees the dun could see her creamy palamino body. The way her horn caught the suns light and melted him to the core. The way her eyes battered slowly and drew him in closer. It was a terrible feeling to know he would never see her again. "I miss you Searah.." his whisper trailed softly in the dust. As the sun above started to filter through the trees he watched her illusion disappear. Once again he was alone traveling. Ra the Sun Emissary March 1st, 2012 at 12:25am Perhaps the illusion of the mare was not so faded. A cremello stallion stood before the dun, their bodies nearly matched in height and muscle. Ra's head held itself high with pride and authority, the tall golden crown of suns he bore accentuating this, particularly when the sunlight stroked it. Pale mane and tail fluttered in the frostfall breezes, nearly lost among the forest snow that his feathered legs plowed through. "Morning traveler," Ra greeted, his tones warm and jovial. Slowly he drew closer to close the gap that remained between them, blowing out condensation from his nose in unspoken greeting. "I couldn't help but notice you looked so lost in thought. Happy memories I hope?" he chuckled good naturedly, whiskered muzzle twitching. "Forgive me, I do not mean to pry, merely start conversation. I am Ra by the way." Sanslay March 1st, 2012 at 1:00pm Perhaps not completely alone, the palamino body that disappeared soon turned true, as the snow and distance between the two horses closed he realized that there was someone standing there. He jerked his head up in a threatening manor and prepared himself to look the king and show he wasn't up for fighting. He wasn't there to start anything but showing dominance seemed a bit useful in this situation. When the other spoke Sanslay stopped his pace. Halting immediately. There was no skidding or snow flying, rather a graceful stop. "Morning to you also." he paused and let out a gentle smile and relaxed his body. The other stallion wasn't at all rude about his comments or set off any vibes of unexperience so Sanslay backed off from his glare. Lowering his head to eye level he let off the gas pedal of his dominance and decided to have a decent conversation. "Happy memories are not always happy for long. Its nice to meet you Ra, I'm Sanslay." He took in a deep breath and exhaled. Letting the fog encircle his nostrils, his two colored eyes resting gently on the cremello infront of him. "So where is it that I have traveled to? I mean, this land I step foot onto, what is this place?" he waited patiently for a reply. [ooc- forgive its crappiness, i'm being rushed D: sorry!] Ra the Sun Emissary March 3rd, 2012 at 11:12pm nod returned the name provided by the other fellow. He seemed uncertain at first, although Ra could hardly blame him, tangled in the past as he was, but Sanslay seemed to settle and for that Ra was grateful. Coat color was important surely, but a good mine like the one this lad had was invaluable for him. Ra's eyes danced in the forest light joyfully - there were far too many inferior dark horses around here. "There's much here to be discovered Sanslay, but I would be welcoming you to Helovia. I suppose if you want to be specific, this is Helovia's Threshold, where most seem to find their way in from beyond." Ra paused, his body relaxed and his tones casual. He was rather accustomed to greeting wanderers by now, and he found it an enjoyable and educational experience. Sanslay didn't seem the type to share much about himself, but Ra thought he might ask for the sake of asking. "By chance where have you come from?" Sanslay March 5th, 2012 at 8:53pm He liked the big fellow ahead of him. They both showed authority and they both got along. They were both calm and not sadistic about the meeting they gathered. The most important thing he was happy with was the nobility that shown in the bright fellow before him. Sanslay wasn't fully aware of the capabilities of this new place. Oh no, he was new of course, but he knew enough that every land has its dangers. "I see." he spoke with a tone of uncertainty. Helovia. Helovia, it seemed like such a peaceful name besides the hel part. It sounded too much like hell. Had Sanslay traveled once again to a place of doom and destruction? He leaned back onto his haunches to relax, unbunching his muscles even further, staring straight into Ra's eyes he spoke concerningly "I come from hell, my birth place was so fascinating till him, fire and flames. We all ran." putting his head higher he refused to back down to the sky. He was one. A king. He will no longer run, he will fight. Never cower. Ra the Sun Emissary March 6th, 2012 at 10:51pm The stallion before him spoke more than he expected, although similarly, little at all. The description seemed like a type of rhyme, hollow of any real worth. Hell? Ra wondered just how literal Sanslay meant to be, or thought he was. Still, of the suspicious type, Ra grew more guarded. Did a demon truly stand before him, chased from the bottom of the earth? Such silliness he though, shaking his mane to be rid of the inane thoughts. Any fires and flames came from the one, the Sun, and were a blessing to behold. Ra smiled. "I doubt you'd be much interested in living within my herd then," Ra commented, amusement in his tone. "It's called the Dragon's Throat, and for good reason." He flicked his pale tail, humored by the idea of one running from hell only to join a different sort of one. Ra supposed it all depend on what sort of fire and flame Sanslay fled; the heat, the hurt or the vile? "Still, I think you'd be a good fit there. Are you fighting fit?" Sanslay March 11th, 2012 at 6:36pm He took a breath from the surrounding air. Like a silent scream he exhaled with a sigh. He was proud of what he had put up with, what he had gone through, but he wasn't proud of the running he was forced to do. He was to save them all and lead them to life. That was his duty, or so said the Wise One's. Instead though, Ra, who stood before him, shook his head as if he was looking at a coward. Sanslays ears layed back a bit in annoyance. He wasn't a coward. It was a coward move in his oppinion but as a rightful duty he had to be a coward for merely months. Maybe the way he put it said him to be a coward, maybe. He clinched his teeth together and flicked his long tail at his hocks. The fire and flames Ra would see would be bright and used for 'the good' they all saw, the fire and flames Sanslay used and seen were red with blood and stained with evil. Unholy water, and sanguine addiction. It was disguting. "A good fit, I'd say I'm fit anywhere with a good direction." he said abruptly. Sanslay wasn't much of a someone to bow down to another but who knew, maybe someday this kingdom of Ra's would become his. "Maybe a good tour of your 'palace' would get my opionion of my belonging there. Eh?" Picking up his front hoof he suggested movement. For standing in one place long enough could send Theasreks demons closer to him. For now he was still saving others, with his duties, from the demons following him. Or was he just leading them to danger with the lies of the Wise One's. Ra the Sun Emissary March 12th, 2012 at 2:50pm Sanslay's mood seemed to change suddenly, his reply coming out quick and nearly heated with annoyance. Ra's features shifted into concern, uncertain what he'd said to anger he fellow stallion. He certainly hadn't meant to imply the warrior was cowardly for running, but had been amused that Sanslay ran from flame, only to find it again and Ra and the herd. It was ironic really, but perhaps the joke was much too inside a type for the stallion to understand. If anything, he'd likely thought Ra to be laughing at him. The cremello could only be apologetic, his eyes softening and losing the mirth reflected in them. "You're welcome to visit the Throat for as long as you'd like." Sanslay was already moving forward and Ra stepped into place at his side, just barely ahead to lead the way. |
