To Protect And Serve - Official - 08-12-2012 Solstice May 6th, 2012 at 3:51pm The weather had warmed and the cold and snow had seemed to disappear from the lands. The painted mare was pleased and had begun to explore the lands surrounding her new home. Oh how she missed her birth place Isilme, but the fact that the dead, including her own deceased parents and elder sister had joined in chasing everyone out. Today her wanderings brought her upon a strange place. Rumor had it that this was the home of the Gods that ruled over Helovia. They, much like the Tome Guardian of Isilme were the ones to grant power. This fact made the young mare curious. Her son Aaron had already met the God of the Sun when he was granted the power to make others believe they were on fire, and the God of the Earth when he had found Kutlu and Ophelia and seen Kutlu's legs healed. The thought of her son brought a smile to her face. However it also gave her an idea. Her family and friends were the reason she became a warrior. Her father Gideon had been one and had even taught her mother Amani Leila to fight. Now, she had a family of her own to protect. She sighed thinking of her lost love Ata.... As time passed it weighed heavy on her heart that she had run... She should of stayed and helped fight. Maybe, just maybe if she had Ata would be there with them now. She shook herself gently, pushing those thoughts aside. No. She had run to be with Aaron, and through Aaron she still had a piece of Ata. It was her desire to keep her son safe and to return to him after a battle that prodded her to call out. "Gods of the Earth, Sun and Moon. I call you all as I am not sure who to ask what I now seek." she paused for a moment before speaking again. "I wish to be able to make a shield to protect myself from others magic.... I'll do whatever it takes to return to my son... He's all the blood family I have left...." She sighed heavily. Now to wait and see if she was answered God of the Sun May 10th, 2012 at 11:33am A ray of light from the sun intensifies. The light strokes outward in a straight beam, heading down toward the island, widening and growing. The ray becomes more strong, more brilliant, more blinding. The light touches the very earth a few paces away from where Solstice stands. Then, galloping quite cavalier down the ray of light is the Sun God, whose color melds with the sun ray, making it nearly impossible to tell where his hooves begin and where the stop. He slows upon nearing the ground, speed decreasing, until he simply appears to floats slowly down, delicate wings spun open to reveal white feathers underneath that drip with light. Gracefully, the slender figure of the male lands upon the earth. His flawless face holds a warm smile, eyes of liquid gold peering at you with large black pupils. The threads of his white-gold mane drip with the same luminescent liquid of his wings. Two delicate antelope horns of solid gold wind backward, facing one of the altars. "Welcome Solstice, mother of my beloved Aaron," he says, his voice gentle and warm, welcoming even. There is still a shrewdness laying underneath his face, one should take caution. "I can create the shield you wish. I would ask but a simple task for a mother who has raised such an upright child." His smiling is flashing, a bright glimmering in his eyes. "Befriend and individual with magic you find truly fearsome, and bring them to me. I promise to protect you until then." Solstice May 15th, 2012 at 2:14pm As she stodd one ray of light grew brighter, blinding. With a snort she stepped backward, her neck arching slightly as she tried to protect her hazel eyes from the light. Was this how other's delt with her magic? The ray still grew brighter, the beam of light getting wider and wider. It was then she realized that she was about to meet the God of the Sun... just as her son had. As the God touched down she allowed her front legs to buckle into a bow. Hazel eyes lifted to take in his apperence... He was much different than the Tome Guardian had been... He seemed, kinder... in a way. He spoke in a gentle and warm voice that made her smile. "Thank you Sir.... Aaron is my pride and joy..... A magic I fear? I shall do my best as the only magic I have ever feared was the magic of my lost love." With those words she moved to stand upright. This task was easy..... but in the same fact hard as well..... A magic she feared..... She waited to see if the God would speak again before she would leave. The God of the Sun May 25th, 2012 at 12:37pm The bow filled his heart with pride, swelling until the point of nearly bursting. The God of the Sun enjoyed those who felt respect for the warm light of the sun and the fire that burned on its luminescent surface. A good mare, with a good son, so long as they favored his artful magic. After her agreement to his task, the God smiles again, a bright expression. "Be safe, my dear Solstice," he says, before disappearing in a beam of light. |
