Overall it was just too vague, try to extend the purpose of your clue further so that it better directs the reader in the right direction for solving. It all made sense once revealed, but this was not something that could have been solved alone.

Something you might want to do in the future is include more than 3 clues, that way you still have a chance to pass even if some of the clues don't necessarily contribute to the 'scoring' as in this case. Try to be a bit more specific, and I advise avoiding fluff. If you think long enough, you should be able to come up with a way to word things or rethink lines so that they do contribute to the stealth!
