KAHLUA

The queen returned to her home the day after leaving, upset with herself for having been longer than she intended, but happy with what she discovered. She hoped that Kaj would not have noticed her absence for the night, after she had just promised him she wanted to be here for the herd more, but even if he had, he could not be upset with her now. She had secrets to share, information to divulge, and she was certain the herd would be better for what she had learned at the shrines of the gods.

Whinnying out as she cantered across the borders of the Edge, Kahlua cried out to her herd. “My friends, come to me, I have something to tell you!” But she did not halt until she had reached their familiar meeting ground where the glass dragon stood guard. There she waited for her friends, whinnying again in eager anticipation of their arrival.

**Pause for anyone's arrival**

“The god's have designed some magic above their shrines. There is a floating island- if you cannot fly then clouds will take you up.” She laughed spectacularly, the bright queen that so many were familiar with returning after all of the tragedies that had turned her into a dark, depressed shell of herself. “There is a tent for us, black with beautiful glass spires. The other herds have tents too, it seems.” She smiled knowingly as she passed her gaze to each of the herd members that had gathered before her. “We should take this opportunity to make friends and spread our message of peace. Be kind to those there, start no fights. The gods have been kind to us, treat this gift with respect.” But the queen could only be serious for so long. She laughed again bouncing about with eager excitement. “Now go, have fun!”

The gods had made them a hell below the earth where lava always boiled. Now they had created a heaven in the sky, full of clouds magic. The mysteries of the gods were grand, but endless, and Kahlua was determined to enjoy every opportunity they afforded her.
