The Descent of an Angel - Prometheus - 09-14-2012

No other angel had ever fallen so slowly. As the earth grew closer, the archangel drew his sword. The blade, once sheathed, shone brightly. The blue of the sky reflected in his eyes and he turned away from life as he knew it- as anyone did. In the time it took for him to fall, he thought not of his own death upon impact, but of how many would die while air slowed his descent.

He felt alone.

Deimos was sought.

No other angel had ever fallen so slowly: On his profile there is a description of falling angels. Falling in this stealth signifies falling to death and aging- Deimos will not age or die for quite some time, thus he is falling slowly.

As the earth grew closer, the archangel drew his sword: The sword is a reference to his horn.

The blade, once sheathed, shone brightly: His horn is described as very shiny.

The blue of the sky reflected in his eyes and he turned away from life as he knew it- as anyone did: His eyes turn blue when he uses his magic. His turning away from life is

In the time it took for him to fall, he thought not of his own death upon impact, but of how many would die while air slowed his descent: Being quasi-immortal, he doesn't have to fear his own death. His touching of others will cause them to die, however, and he steals their life energy, which allows him to live longer and thus slow his fall, his death.

He felt alone: He must be alone physically or else he will kill others; he sort of isolates himself.
