burn. - Official - 06-09-2012 Histe February 25th, 2012 at 6:31pm Blunt hooves crushed the tender blades of grass as the young mare stalked through the meadow. Since abandoning Isilme she had spent time searching for her twin, but he was no where to be seen. It was like he had disappeared right off the planet. It angered her that he would have the gall to just disappear. She knew that he did not stay in Isilme. He was not a fighter. He was not built for it. His frame was willowy at best. If he were not her brother and she did not know his heart she would think him weak and would end his pathetic existence. A snort of anger errupted from Histe as her pale eyes roved over the meadow. He was around somewhere, the only question was where. She'd scented him first in Helovia's Threshold. Now she would catch wind of him occasionally, but his scent was not as strong anywhere else as it had been in the threshold. That didn't matter. Her head lowered and her pale eyes flashed. She would find him. She would hunt him down like a bloodhound and they would be reunited. Her right forehoof struck the ground, gouging the earth. She struck the ground again and overhead clouds began to gather. Thunder rumbled and lightning streaked across the sky. The wind began to pick up, carrying her mane and tail with it. Moments later rain began to fall and as it dropped to the ground it burned anything it touched, including Histe, herself. She, however, did not feel anything more than a slight sting. Being burned by the dragon had effectively damaged her nerve endings, drastically reducing her sense of touch. "Huinne!" she screamed into the wind, hoping that her brother was near enough to see the storm brewing and hear his name. d'Artagnan February 25th, 2012 at 7:16pm Violet splashed throughout the scene before him as thistles grew in the meadow he walked through. He was tall, full at 17hh and towered over most, his build was fine-tuned and un-stocky with a red bay pelt which met black legs. Not a single white marking blemished his coat with his peculiarities held close together. The first was a blue eye, striking in contrast to his blood coloured coat. The other was a glass horn, once there were two sat proudly on his brow, after a violent fight d’Artagnan was left with one and a stump. Smelling another close by d’Art went on after the scent. Rumblings and tremors littered the sky above and the wind suddenly began to whip up his jet black mane. The stag looked to the sky above and flattened his ears, he didn’t like the feel of it, lighting light up the sky spotlighting the filly he’d smelt. She seemed vexed and noted she was storming around, d’Artagnan had a sneaky suspicion she may be the cause of the weather. Rain began to fall and d’Art grunted loudly and began to perform mini rears in response to the burning sensation, “what the fuck is this?!” looking around he saw a solitary oak tree and made for it. Passing the filly he roared at her “Child! What on earth are you doing?!” his mane well and truly soaked in the burning rain d’Artagnan routed under the oak. Drops still managed to get through there but it wasn’t as bad. As a trained warrior, he was used to physical combat. This was something he couldn’t fight with his horn and teeth and the bad tempered stag didn’t like it. His thoughts turned to the filly of his own kind and wondered what had got her so fired up. Histe February 28th, 2012 at 5:27pm Her scream of her brother's name was swallowed up and lost in the wind and thunder that came with the violent storm. Her head lowered and she lashed at the ground with her hoof again. A flash of lightening lit the darkened sky, highlighting the form of another not too far off. The storm had gotten to him, judging from the way he moved as the acid pelted his hide and burned him. It was nothing compared to the burns she had suffered to get the magic she had wanted so desperately. Histe raised her head, her eyes widening enough to show a white ring around the iris as she watched the stallion barrel toward her. Her posture took on that of someone looking for a fight. Her muscles tightened and she braced her legs, expecting the stallion to barrel into her in his desperation to remove himself from the burning rain, but he passed by her, though his roar was not lost on the wind. "I am no child." She hissed as she turned to face the stallion that had taken shelter under the oak. Her gaze darkened as another flash of lightning revealed the horn jutting from his head. "Unicorn." She spat distastefully. "Where is my brother?" She stalked toward the unicorn, looking much like a hungry lion. The look in her eyes alone should have been enough to reveal that she was not completely stable. "Where is he?" d'Artagnan April 17th, 2012 at 2:33pm The rain stung and burned on his coat, he may be stood under the oak but still some of drops reached his naked coat. The leaves were becoming heavy with the acid too, dropping even more onto d’Artagnan. The mahogany stallion was muttering curses to himself as Histe screamed at him, damned equines the filth of them. d’Art began to pound his cloven hoof into the ground gearing himself up for any eventuality, his muscles rippled and his teeth gritted with anger. He couldn’t fight the rain, but if he had to he could always fight mare. The only thing that stopped him was the burning rain; he’d have to be swift. It’d do no good to stand out with no protection trying to land a blow on that crazed hornless thing. She screamed at him again, demanding the whereabouts of her brother. d’Artagnan flattened his ears “How would I know equine. Is your brother as deranged as you?! Now stop this blasted rain before my horn runs you through! Then you’ll never find your precious brother” his voice boomed and rattled with a burning threat like her acid rain. His ears remained pinned to his head and his anger boiled over as he powered his front black legs upwards. A deafening cry of a challenge sounded out as d’Artagnan exploded his two front hooves into the air, burning rain flicking off their tips. Histe May 24th, 2012 at 12:58pm The more the stallion pretened to not know what she was talking about the angrier Histe became. The angrier she became the harder the rain would fall and drench the world around them. Her ears stayed pinned back against her skull, her eyes flashing dangerously as lightning lit up the sky. The ground around them became saturated with the acid that poured from the clouds above. Patches of the ground around them finally gave in and became consumed in flames. Even some of the leaves of the tree that the damned unicorn had taken shelter under began to catch fire and burn. Now he threatened her. Threatened to run his horn through her and keep her from finding her Huinne. Histe laughed quietly at first, but the sound of it grew and soon her laughter was as loud as the thunder that crackled after each flash of lightning. As dangerous sounding as the acid that poured down on them was. "You can't stop me." She said to the unicorn. Her head tilted and her eyes narrowed as she leered at him. "I'll shatter the rest of that ugly growth. Finish what was started." Her tail lashed at her legs and she pawed at the wet ground. The stallion reared and cried out, challenging her to a fight. Histe laughed again at the stallion. "Pathetic." Seiren March 31st, 2012 at 8:07am The scent got stronger and Seiren quivered in excitement. She’d found him! At last she’d found her bastard brother who had eluded her for so long. He’d led a merry dance and it was to this land Seiren had followed him to. Even when entering Helovia and being accepted into herd of the Worlds Edge she hadn’t managed to find him. d’Artagnan’s scent was stronger in some places than in others, but this was the only one time she’d managed to follow it thoroughly… A sharp sound berated the air as d’Artagnan issued a challenge; he stood under a burning oak tree that was being bombarded with acid rain. Seiren had just reached the perimeter of this rain storm when she fully understood what was going on before her. An equine filly stood in a fiery rage that was seemingly out of control. The burning rain buffeted her and she grunted, using the harshness of the weather to cover her steps Seiren moved at a silent speedy gallop and banged into the filly to gain her attention for a second. Then, magic searing through her bones, called upon her cold hail to extinguish the burning rain. Her gaze remained heartless on the filly, "foolish youth. This rampage is hindering your chances of finding your beloved brother; surely you’d rather search for him than waste your gifts here." She glanced back at d’Artagnan to check he hadn’t died in the barrage. Seiren had come here to kill him, not let some adolescent do it for her. [ooc; Hope you don't mind me throwing her in. I thought it'd be interesting if his sister entered the equation] Histe April 27th, 2012 at 5:22pm Histe was caught by surprise by the other mare banging into her. All of her attention had been consumed by the burning fury she had unleashed on the stallion. Luckily her fury had her body rigid and she did not lose her balance when the other mare hit her. Her storm slackened when she was pelted with ice. A gutteral cry rumbled in Histe's chest before slipping uncontained from her mouth. The wind howled again and lightening split the sky causing the thunder to crack and echo around them. The unicorn was a fool. Huinne would see her storm. He would hear the crack of thunder, see the blinding flashes of lightening. It would draw him to her and they would be together once again like they were supposed to be. The two of them against everything in the world. The twins that would bring forth the fall of every species and lift their own into glory. He would come to her, they just didn't know it. How could they? As quickly as her fury driven storm was brought fort it quiet. The last few drops of acid fell from the sky to the ground and horses below, sizzling as they touched flesh. The hatred and insanity that showed in her eyes disipated until she was left looking like a shell of the furious creature she had been mere moments before. She could hear Huinne's voice in her head telling her not to kill them. To leave them be and look for him. The young mare stepped back before pivoting on her hind legs and running off. |
