::Reference to several things - He is part of a herd now, which gives many horses a sense of safety. He is also brave enough to steal items from other horses, showing that he is not afraid of the ones he steals from/tries to steal from. His appearance describes him as a "solid figure" and those with a stronger build are seldom afraid, not to mention that in his personality it even states that he "is willing to commit actions on the expense of common ethics and morals", meaning he is most likely not afraid of consequences/etc

::Breed reference - I didn't know what a "baroque Kladruber" was, so I searched it and it said many times that the Kladruber was a surviving, but endangered breed of horse, this being where the clue came from. So yes, it turns out that the Kladrubers are endangered, but still alive.
