.:::Clarity of the Soul::. - Official - 06-09-2012 Gossamer the Benevolent February 26th, 2012 at 5:12am Sedate, peaceful brown eyes glanced about the clearing surrounding the huge waterfall. Before, Gossamer had been so anxious, so worried, so...passively depressed. She had been such a foal, a mare of ten still carrying on, being hurt by every horse's littlest actions. Preposterous! The gods had shown her the wrongness of her sadness. Yes, one could be sad, could mourn a loss, hurt, or betrayal, that was admissible. What was wrong was dwelling upon such things. There was too much good to look forward to, too much hope in the world, to stay stagnant. Everyhorse always felt that their actions were justified for the betterment of either themselves, ones they loved, or their herd. With the thoughts of not keeping grudges, she could even see now why some justified war. Though, in her opinion, those reasons could easily be swept away if every species would aid the other and those who needed help for their afflictions of jealousy, hate, and psychosis could be healed by mind healers. Everyhorse could live in harmony. Enlightenment, that was what everyhorse required. Ignorance and lack of comprehension were a horse's worst enemy, be it for peace or in the general application of life. These and a thousand other thoughts were coursing through her mind as her eyes alighted upon her love and her offspring. The trip to honor the gods here had gone well for her, she wore an amulet about her neck, a new marking, one meaning virtue, upon her white hide's right shoulder, and renewed strength. Thus, it was with joy that she met her lover's gaze, visibly of a higher spirit than before their brief parting, and motherly resignation that she gazed upon her foal. Though, foal was not quite the correct word for Enna anymore, the filly was nearly a grown mare now. She had filled out, grown adult curves, muscled up, and transformed in just the past few months. Gossamer knew now, could clearly see, that her daughter was and equal now, and should be treated as such as much as possible. True, she was still going through that sulky in-between stage all horses experience. Yes, she would still require some guidance as she continued to grow. But Gossamer could see that her baby was no longer belonged to her; she belonged to whomever she chose to now. With that thought she released a warm whinny out across the clearing, and walked toward her last two loves. Indy the Righteous February 19th, 2012 at 11:42am Gossamer's call had the stallion lifting his head and looking in her direction. Soft blue eyes settled on his lover's white frame and a smile creased his lips. Life had always been a difficult thing, but she seemed to make everything easier for him. Her very presence was enough to chase away the whatever feelings of sadness that still lingered after not seeing his daughter since they had fled Isilme in the first war and his son since he'd abandoned them. His third child, Enna, had brought some joy back into his life, but she was a handful. A difficult birth led to a difficult child. She hadn't been the same since Crane had left them. Where she had once been happy and joyful he now found her to be bristly and intolerant sometimes. He still loved her dearly as he would all of his children no matter what they had done. The stallion nickered to his mate before trotting in her direction. As he drew closer he could see the drastic change in her appearance as well as her demeanor. "I take it your trip to the Gods went well." He said as he touched his muzzle to hers. Enheduanna March 27th, 2012 at 12:30am I see my mother coming across the clearing and know instantly that escapades of running away in the night will no longer be as easy to conduct. I also notice that she seems far stronger than shes been. I sigh as I look to my sire who seems completely oblivious. I mumble to the side "Dad, whats wrong with her?" Though I wasn't entirely positive if he'd heard me or not. I give up and trot up to see her for she had been gone a while and, despite my best efforts against it, I still loved her. I nuzzle her as my sire does and wait anxiously for her reply to his question. it was obvious to me that her visit had gone better than well, and then some. However, I was still incredibly curious to know exactly what had transpired. |
