stranger in a strange land - [open] - Vicken~ - 06-15-2012 Dark orbs took in the site of rocky mountains, hidden by thick cloud cover and concealing the thick, green forest. It held a mystery about itself with the almost eerie quiet of the land. The chirping of birds could be heard but not seen, no small animals scurried through the lands. Was there something about his presence that startled the wildlife of the region? Was it his face? The jagged cuts that marred his face and nearly blinded him in his left eye, the vision in that eye blurry but not totally gone. He twitched his lips, feeling the scars pull with his skin. Said scars etched down his face, a few on his neck but they thickened in on his chest and laced backward on his shoulders and finally ending on his barrel and a few strayed down to his forelegs. Yes, that was probably it. They saw the scars and thought he ment to harm them. He smiled ruefully and shook his concave, moving forward on the rocky grasses. His trot was lifted and high-kneed, showing his breeding in a beautiful way. He lifted his tag and his skull with it, his chocolate colored orbs a light with momentary joy of freedom, of being alive. But he knew he would fall from this high as soon as he stopped his trot. He loved this small sense of freedom though and he did it as many times as he could. He flared his pink nostrils and moved into a gallop them, bucking out in his youthful playfullness. He may be mature in mind but he loved to act a bit childish at times, it refreshed his muddled thoughts. A nicker burst from his kissers and he came to a stop right before the forest, his dark forelock falling over his orbs as he searched the area. This region was owned by another, someone had claimed it. He snorted, contemplating his options. He could ask to join this region. It would give him benefits. Protection and a home. A place he could finally be at peace. He wasn't good at making friends, so this would be a good chance to do that. He snorted, yeah right, he would never have true friends. He didn't look like the others. Therefore he wouldn't be treated the same. That was how the world worked. He smirked at himself, his cold heart chilling his high thoughts and he steeled himself but kept his face kind. Like his mother thought him to. He nickered aloud, his twin towers flickering here and there, moving about his poll, listening for any others. Surely someone heard him? RE: stranger in a strange land - [open] - Evers - 06-15-2012 The little blue roan roamed about his new land. He was musing about a great many things, his knowledgable mind thirsting for more as unanswered questions about the earth and magic appeared before him. Bugs were biting at his pelt and different kinds of foliage had managed to get entangled in every single one of his six horns either side of his neck. The owner of those horns didn't seem to have noticed however, mathmatical calculations wizzing through the scholars brain. RE: stranger in a strange land - [open] - Vicken~ - 06-15-2012 Vicken turned his dark brown orbs to face the smaller stallion. His tone was quiet, reserved and seemed timid. The Hackney wondered why the stallion would be timid, he was the one with authority around here and Vick had learned quickly that size did not matter in the least. Everyone had their own advantages. He had also never seen a steed of such color and where those...horns? He snorted at the sight. But he had no room to talk, he could barely look at his reflection anymore. He ran the blue male's words over and over in his brain, mulling over them. Why was he thinking this over? He was in need of a new home. He hadn't had one since he was three and he was now seven. Being a wanderer was growing tiring. The scarred stallion snorted, pawing a striped hoof across the rough ground. ' Aye. I am. ' His light German accent moving with the voluptuous breeze the blew through the mountains and through the trees. He closed his kissers, letting his twin towers twitch about, taking in the sounds around him while his tag flicked his flanks, waiting for a reply from the smaller male. RE: stranger in a strange land - [open] - Evers - 06-17-2012 Evers watched the new stallion as he listened to the others short reply to his question. He spoke in an accent that Evers had never heard before. Intrigued, Evers was about to take the initiative before another approached. This colt was from the Foothills but the blue had never seen him before. Not that it was unusual, the herd seemed to be growing larger by day and Evers was a shy one. RE: stranger in a strange land - [open] - Vicken~ - 06-17-2012 Hooves in the distance pulled the harks of the dark chestnut toward the source of the sound. Whatever it was the creature was bumbling and making quite a ruckus. This either meant that the equine in question was very comfortable in these lands, felt safe. Protected. The stag snorted, flaring his pink nostrils wide and taking in the different scents around him. The first one he smelt was the blue stallion across from him and then the foliage around them. Other horses were prominent as well and then then normal smell of a mountain valley. And then a newer smell, not entirely new to this land but to him, which all of the scents were but this one wasn't even a year tainted by smells.
