Her mind was at a peace, or perhaps it was simply the facade of such. Maybe the calmness of mind that so many spoke of was, well, not real afterall; a rarity amongst a world of common things. She never had much luck with anything, especially with the likes of serenity. It seemed that she was always afloat in the mystic realms of home and Helovia. Peace was just always so close but yet so far.

The morning fog and chill rose in thick today, soft rays of Sun broke through the shadowed canopy that she took escape in. She wasn't quite sure what she was escaping from, because truly the edge has offered her all that she had wanted, it just seemed as if the mystery mare kept her thoughts a mystery from even herself.

Trying to distract herself from plunging too deep into the searchings of her mind, Katerina let her silvers soak in the ethereal forest. The scene was almost fairy-like with dropping tree branches and vines, soft and spongy moss, all alit by the dim softness of the filtered light. The Sun kept her enough warm that she was not burdened by the few snowflakes that collected in her hair and on her back, a picture surely painted by the fey of this realm. This place was full of bliss and with that, the peace she so strongly grips and clings too, had stayed.
