Forbes - Reginald - 04-24-2016

[Einarr vs Reginald spar to determine Reginald's ranking as Guardian 0/3 WC: 380 Setting: Continued from here Dragon's Throat, seasonably cool with little breeze, dry, hard footing.] RE: Forbes - Einarr - 05-18-2016
Einarr watched the Grey Eyed beast. His own sienna eyes were hard, emotionless, and calculating. He watched every twitch of muscle, every flick of a tail or ear. He was preparing himself inwardly to test this stallion, to see if he was worth enough to become a bloodrider. Einarr's tail flicked behind him like that of a mountain lion watching it's prey on a perch high above it. His shoulders tightened some as he noticed the younger stallion whispering to his--assumed--child at hip. A hind hoof cocked some, a bullet in the barrel of a gun. Einarr might not have been as versed in the social and political norms of Helovia, but his blood ran just as cold as he believed Reginald to be tearing him down in this child's mind. His dark lips pursed together and his ears tilted back some, his mind clicking with a warrior's calculations.
The meeting came to an end in its own time, and Einarr looked back to his Sultan and Sultana. He nodded to each of them in turn, thought his eyes lingered on Megaera's a moment. He could almost hear the words he knew to be touching the tip of her tongue--words meant only for him, for their bond. He knew, though, that she could not say them out loud. She was the leader of this herd, and her loyalties lay with more than him along. He nodded again, anyway, as if he had taken in her silent encouragement--Shieraki gori ha yeraan! Fichas jahakes moon!. The stallion smirked some, muscles coiling beneath his taut, dark hide.
It is then he decided he will start the battle in the sky. In this desert, pegasus reigned supreme. A unicorn would need to understand how to respond to opponents coming from the air, and likewise Einarr was always poised to learn about his wingless combatants. Dark ears folded down into his mane as Reginald all but stalked off, his massive body calling attention as it trailed to a clearing in the desert. Massive wings outstretched from chiseled sides and Einarr took to their air, swallowing the clouds beneath him. He gained as much altitude as he thought appropriate before tilting his muscled body back toward earth. He tucked in inky wings, sucked in a breathe of the air--cold, here where he had flown to--and angled himself a rocket towards the basilisk boy. When he thought himself close enough, Einarr spread his wings again and attempted to circle around the grey. einarr
