we'll stay here forever - Skeyti - 08-03-2016 Juggernauts screaming to a stop Sound like devils are laughing The air is warm this high up. You’re closer to the sun, reaching for the clouds with your small wings thumping as hard as they can to make the ascent. This is what he would have wanted you to do, isn’t it? This is what normal people do, something he had told you aren’t. It doesn’t bother you one bit because that isn’t what you were specifically told to be. You were told to be both Vauphine and Skeyti, Birds flutter by without a passing glance to you. A part of your chest aches at the sight of them and memories flow back in like incoming tidal waves, a reminder of your time with one that didn’t last long. Was it your fault? Was it your fault that it couldn’t live, broken winged and unable to fly, you without mothering instincts and an idea of how these things work? Air fills your lungs with a hesitant gasp. Coming back down, retreating for a high and sinking back to earth, wings drawn into your dark sides and collecting. Freefalling. Survival instincts pull them back wide open when you near the tops of trees, faint whispers that aren’t really there but thoughts forced by something that isn’t yourself or Vauphine, or are you both? Is Vauphine you? Exhaling is long, shallow, bittersweet as white sweeps upwards to bring your dark satin blues into the vibrant cast of the sun overhead, legs and wings switching places as you roll in the air. What a stupid move to flirt so willingly with death. You did it so many times above the sea near your island that it doesn’t stress you. This is like second nature. You can’t seem to bring yourself down when you are low, looking down at nothing in particular, maybe just wanting to see the world pass beneath your feet, untouched and living a graceful existence without your presence to haunt its home. Would it want you? You are so violent, frowned upon, a mistake upon the world, surely they will not welcome you. But loneliness refuses to deny you redemption, coaxing your heart into your throat and your brain into your chest, finding that one thing that you didn’t know you were looking for as your wings slip into their landing posture, thin, long legs searching out the hardiness of ground to push into your joints as you descent. Hunger hints at you to eat while here. Thirst follows suit. You can taint this place, just for today, for short hours that go by without counting that will lead you and everything else into a sinking Sun and rising moon, accelerating darkness symbolizing that soon enough you will no longer be welcome, and then, you will walk without word and without turning eyes till you are free of the trees and back into wherever they’ve taken you to. No hurried pace will urge your legs to raise into high steps. Basic needs may allow you to debate stopping, nonetheless met with short-lived remedies. This place is overwhelming as you breathe. There are so many people here, or possibly so many have been here in the past but are no longer residing. Either way, it makes you shift with discomfort, exchanging weight from each hind leg and waving your tail more than could be played off by the motion of the wind. Need grounds you. You have to face it for the sake of survival, so little spirit, be strong. @Skeyti RE: we'll stay here forever - Sabia - 08-03-2016 Sabia
Sabia was scared, she was nervous, she was excited. Sabia was all these things as her herd came into view, it was a lovely day not a cloud in the bright blue sky. Sabia just knew everything would work out today, it had to right? "Are you sure you're ready for this?" questioned Zeus, Sabia's first lover. The rose grey mare looked to him and smiled "yes I am." With that the pair began walking again and not long after that they were spotted by the herd leader and Sabia's mother. "Who is this and where have you been? The outside world is dangerous!" snarled Sabia's mother. Sabia could still so vividly remember her mother's caramel brown coat, such a comfort when she was younger. Sabia took a deep breath, the whole herd was circling now. "Mother this is Zeus I love him and am pregnant with his child."There was a shocked silence no one, not even Zeus knew that. "Get out of here you whore, you'd do best to get rid of that thing inside of you. It'll do you no good." Disowned and in love Sabia had left with Zeus and their unborn child. However during the night Zeus disappeared not wanting to be responsable for a child. Sabia was alone, a first time mother hated and abandoned. A few months later Sabia gave birth to a stillborn colt, she waited for days hoping it would rise but nevet did. After that Sabia was passed from stallion to stallion, her heart breaking more each time. Sabia snapped out of her thoughts and realized that she had left the Throat. Sabia was known to simply off for space, but she hadn't realized she had flown all the way to the Threshold, a place she had not been since joining the Throat. Deciding to land Sabia looked to see where she could land and noticed two blurry figures. Deciding she needed to get her mind off the past Sabia landed (gracefully for once) and folded her wings to her sides. Able to see clearly now she realized it was a pegasus and a...filly? "Oh hello" Sabia said in her soft gentle tone, this should be interesting. Put me through hell again, I miss the fire. Quite possibly, it could be that you have stumbled upon the home of a large society, with their numbers spread but their body count high, littered across this place and maybe even further? At this point in time, you don’t know the irony of your thoughts, or how true they are. There are many more bodies to this place than you expect, and in the future, there is the chance that if you ever come to grow the ability to chuckle out of humor(something that is still very foreign, the world has set emotions and humor is an odd one to you) to the current situation. But that is far off in time, and you don’t ever think for the future. Your brain is set to the present and to what you know, things such as there are a thousand bodies that you cannot see but surely can smell. Your experience with herds and their complexes within them is bleak. You understand nothing else than that they are groupings of people, together for reasons they feel are right. It’s not your thing to question. What you know comes from your herd, and for that, you have gone ahead and accepted that this place doesn’t wish to welcome you. You’re already uneasy enough; it’s time to leave. That is exactly what you’re doing when the child arrives. Hooves and legs are entangling themselves at your constant slow pace as you turn, batting your eyes once as you take a deep picture of the woods ahead of you. Should you fly, or should you walk? Which one will ease your burden more and with better speed. You and Vaphuine already know the answer to that question, but your wings have quenched themselves with a light sweat. The rest of your small frame has done the same. You don’t actually welcome the heat, but then again you tend to not to change your thoughts at all at the steep of the temperature. The woods will have to welcome you whether they like to or not. You need to go, and that is simply the only way to flee. Her voice is shrill, a vibrant, uproaring testament to the voice that you sometimes forget that you too own. It pipes out a greeting, but is it turned to you? Does she want something to do with you? Surely not, little Kiada’s mother must of noted her that some people are worth the words, and you are sure that is you, Skeyti. But, she has captured you in the act of leaving and you were lonely. Or were you really? Is it just now fleeing you because someone has addressed your otherwise invisible existence? You give her your head, moving your head around at the same, slow pace as you always have done, pushing petite black ears forward to show that she has your attention as snowflake lashes sweep downwards over midnight blue eyes. She is a pretty little thing, baring you a smile that you would have smiled back at if you were expressive. It seems to take up her entire face and body, beaming out in the golden hues of her body. There is even a bird wi- It hurts to look at it, so you focus on the child and try not to think about it. Too soon since you messed up, another life you’ve unwillingly managed to take due to your cursed soul and string of bad luck. You don’t think about what it would have been like if it lived despite the want to. Would you be close? Would you fly toge- Stop that. She gives you something new to think over as a new body enters. This one is much like yourself: winged, small, feminine in the body, but there are indeed differences that separate you. You don’t take time on her like you do the child. Only a gracious nod and turned ears that you believe show little ill intention to their action. The nature of the babe’s question makes you think that she believes you will stay here. You are nomadic, free, an ever moving body that crosses continents on four grey hooves and oceans with a pair of black wings. You cannot stay here. They wouldn’t want you here, now would they? Not if they knew what you were. Puzzlement pulls over you, now having turned completely to face both of them. Your head draws inward and your ear drip slightly, lips tightening. There isn’t an exact response to this as your head begins to hurt due to the overwhelming action of thoughts. It pushes the inner walls of your skull and encourages you to leave even more, but you would like to keep your manners. Children are odd, fickle things that you have no experience with other than the short amount of time spent with your withering wombmate whose name never met the world(if he had one), and the companionship of the colt that you had clung to so strongly, who in the end aided you in deciding upon this lifestyle. By some off chance that you are to cause this child to weep small, youthful tears, there is the possibility you will have to flee, and moving quickly is not your thing. The other one could easily follow you on their wings as well. So, finally, after some odd moments of lack of exchange other than your short expression of bewilderment, you tilt your cranium to one side before ending on shaking it. “No, I’m not new. I’m not staying,” you attempt to physically display. In the meantime, you have managed to let something coax you into this situation deeper. Something is not fully correct with this vocal filly. It draws you in like you know you shouldn’t, taking small, hesitant steps, the occasional glance at the girl’s companionship who is obviously not her mother by appearance’s sake, never grasping eye contact from either of them. And what you find is, well, this child is on fire. Vaphuine might as well tear through the white marking on your chest and leave you entirely. Your small hooves shrimper against the grass that you know notice is very dry and brittle beneath you, not worth the meal you had been previously craving and now completely forgotten. Why is the child on fire? Is it my fault? The bird doesn’t seem bothered, but you definitely are. You push upon your fellow sister in species an open mouth and sunken ears, drawn wings and tail tucked between your legs, asking for explanation and assistance because dear Viyrn, this child is on fucking fire. “Help.” That is the first word that you have blurted in two full cycles of the moon and its changing of many bodies. Help because you don’t know if you should touch the bird and thrash the flames with your wings till they disperse but possibly burn yourself in the process. Help because you are scared, confused, glued to a child that happened upon you that could die and go to you for blame, because you have no idea what to do and why this is even happening in the first place. Nallicus could also be here for Vaphuine though, playing a trick on you. What an embarrassment that would be, but there is that chance that you could fly away on the feeling and excuse of shame, and not have to look back. Yes, please let it be Nallicus. OOC: Apologies for such a wait! Things should go much quicker now as I'm starting to get a good grasp on her and have found good muse music for to make her easier to write. somehow light up when I'm with you RE: we'll stay here forever - Kiada - 08-08-2016
@Skeyti @Sabia Little Kia has no idea wtf Skeyti is talking about :D RE: we'll stay here forever - Sabia - 08-09-2016 Sabia
Sabia took in both figures for a moment, the black mare a Pegasus like herself was stunning. It seemed like the mare was a challenge to the sun with her dark coat, painted with white like she was painted with clouds from the night. It seemed Helovia was full of striking beasts such as the Pegasus. Then there was the little filly, her scent was unknown to Sabia which meant she was from another herd. The mare looked around but could not find a mother, "little filly" she spoke in her soft voice "where is your mother?" She said worried. The little filly was pretty however, thin and delicate as all foals were and marked so interestingly that it hurt to look at her. Then Sabia realized it was fire dancing along her back, though she assumed it was the magic Sabia had grown used to. "I'm sure the little filly has welcomed you to the land of Helovia" she said turning back to the dark Pegasus. "It is a beautiful place if you wish-" Sabia paused when she noticed how alarmed the Pegasus looked. Following her gave she looked to the little filly who had flames of large beasts dancing on her back, the rose grey mare quickly understood the Pegasus must have never seen magic before. "Help..." Sabia was surprised to see this plead aimed at her, although she had not been this afraid when she first was witness to magic the mare was quick to try and calm the other Pegasus. With a soft expression Sabia very slowly made her way to the mare offering her body as a comfort for her, stretching out a wing she held it out for the mare as a sign of reassurance. Then turning to the filly she spoke; "I don't think she is hurt love...your flames " she said gently. How odd this turned out. Put me through hell again, I miss the fire. Notes: @Kiada @Skeyti |
