world of pure imagination [Aurora Basin Festival Invitation!] - Rexanna - 09-01-2016 I’d rather be your absinthe, Than your cup of tea.
The job was simple enough. Rexanna and Lena were sent off to invite the other herd lands to the Festival. Of course, it was all really her own idea, she had even asked Lena personally to accompany her. So all that was left to do was to actually go out and invite everyone. The first trip had been long and venturous, filled with stories and Lena’s beautiful songs. They had chosen the Throat first, unknowing what kind of sadness and hardship loomed down in the depths of the sands. They started there before moving back up toward home, figuring that they could hit the Falls before completing the journey all the way home. It was easy, and Rexanna found it easy to talk to the Mender and was grateful for the distance from her children for such a job. It was exhausting, the twins. They were terrors and demanding so often, and it was even worse having their companions there as well. The Thief had been far too emotionally drained dealing with her children that the trip had been a welcome respite, able to sleep rather soundly (despite being in the open lands of Helovia) without the constant nagging worry of her children. And so when they reached the Falls, Rexanna tilted her head to Lena with a curious gleam in her eyes. “Is this it?” She asked quietly, not knowing what the Falls really looked like. She hoped they stopped right at the border – the last thing she wanted to do was trespass when they were trying to invite the herd to a friendly gathering. They didn’t need to have the word enemy scratched across their back. A soft sigh passed her lips before she looked out over the lush and beautiful green lands. It was completely different from the Basin and what she had seen of the Edge, and it was serene to look at and listen to as the birds chirped overhead. The sun beat down softly through the trees, dappling their coats as she turned her exotic gaze to the forest and trees ahead of them. “Hello? We’re from the Aurora Basin! We’d like to speak with someone!” She called out, her voice different from Lena’s singsong tone. Instead, hers seemed to fall onto the ears like bells and chimes as it carried across the land. Hopefully they wouldn’t be upset for the disturbance. "Talk." rexanna @Lena We've come to invite you all to the Aurora Basin Festival! Through the ages of time I've been known for my hate, but I'm a dealer of simple choices; for me it's never too late.
The tension between herds had been quiet since the successful invasion many seasons ago. Archibald was working on his kingdom as the other rulers worked on theirs. There was a semblance of peace--well, at least of neutrality. The battles the gods had brought united Helovia enough to protect their realm, and each herd had gone back to their corner to protect it in full. The Dauntless himself had been mulling over ways to protect this herd, enough even to ask the Earth God himself for his wisdom and advice. With this neutral, quiet time, Archibald was not surprised as he heard a voice on the wind, calling from the north. He was curious, however, and moved into an earth-shaking trot toward the call.
There was little alarm raised for the visitors from the Aurora Basin. They had found the border and stopped there, and for that Archibald was thankful. He made no move to hide or quiet his approach. Any who came to his borders should know well the force they were reckoning with, even if those visitors were on peaceful orders. Archibald was still a warlord, still the standing general, and still hell to fight. At his side his faithful malamute cantered, amber eyes focused on the newcomers. As they stepped into the full vision of the two women, they slowed their approach. Archibald moved to a walk and stopped a few horse lengths before the mares. He nodded to each of them, though his eyes rest on the bay for a moment. While the two had never talked in person or dealt with each other hand to hand, they had been around this world for years and Archibald at least knew her name and title. "Welcome to the Hidden Falls, Lena and--" Archibald left an opening in his sentence, eyes moving to the gold blanketed girl to fill in the blank. "I am Archibald, Czar here." He added in after what he felt was an appropriate pause. He was not sure if Lena had prepared the other girl for what they would encounter, and Archibald knew it to be tactful to introduce himself to strangers on diplomatic business even if they might already know who he was.
"What brings you south?" The Dauntless asked, eyes moving back to Lena.

It wasn’t long before the strong tones from the Mender uttered confirmation to the Thief’s inquiry. She offered the bay mare a gentle smile before turning her attention onto the beautiful hues of greens and sounds of waterfalls from beyond the distance. Soon enough, the earth seemed to shudder beneath the hooves of the statue that appeared. He was large and Rexanna found herself comforted by the stance and size of the man – but she was naïve in that way. She had grown used to being around men of a larger size than her, and when he closed the distance but continued to stay a comfortable stance away, she offered him a brilliant smile. She dipped her head out of respect for the lead as he welcomed Lena, then left it open ended for her own input. “Rexanna,” the Thief slid in her name in the crack that Archibald had made for her. Then, he continued on to introduce himself, then asking of what they were doing there. The Thief kept the smile on her face as she sought the gaze of the Czar. “We’re hosting a festival soon, to celebrate the change in seasons and the northern lights. We’ve come to invite all of the Falls to join us.” She began, leaving her phrasing a bit open ended for Lena to add in more should she like. Her gaze drifted from the Czar to the Mender and her companion who carried herbs gently wrapped in her maw. Returning her gaze back to Archibald, she waited patiently and rather contently as she listened to the sounds that reverberated from around them. “We’ve brought herbs from the North as well, for your herd.” She added in quietly, shifting her weight slightly and motioning toward Imogen with the smile sticking along her pale lips. "Talk." rexanna @Lena omg awful post I apologize RE: world of pure imagination [Aurora Basin Festival Invitation!] - Syrena - 09-03-2016 She comes to the call. Why? That’s a great question, and it keeps running through Syrena’s head. She can’t actually answer the question though. Tallsun is gone, finally, and the relief that comes with it is amazing. Excluding the squalls. Those can stop now. But at least there aren’t random fires breaking out everywhere, and the pools finally aren’t half mud. She could be content there, just hanging in the pools. But instead, she comes to the call. Again, why? Syrena let the water take me RE: world of pure imagination [Aurora Basin Festival Invitation!] - Lena - 09-05-2016
