@Darwin RE: Dreaming with an Open Heart - Darwin - 10-23-2016
He waited in the Falls for Edgar’s arrival – waiting and biding time until Elsa was prepared to venture to the Veins. Yet, as the days went by he began to grow further and further reclusive, snappy even in his wait. So Antaa proposed the idea of an adventure, and despite the fact they wouldn’t be home she was sure that Elsa and Edgar would be able to find the duo. They had a funny knack for that sort of thing. It’s what sparked Darwin’s idea of venturing to the Threshold with Zero. It’s also what sparked the idea of traveling to the Heavenly Fields. It had been quite some time since the man had ventured there, and he wanted to see if things had changed since his last time there. Of course, Antaa would rather spread her wings and fly up there. Her wings spread, extending flame as she went and arced across the face of the cliff side toward the top where lush grasses wait in a looming fog. She chirped cheerfully to him as he followed her – a combination of greys and blacks as his wings carried him high into the sky. As she dove down to the earth, her wings folded to her sides as she dropped. Then, right before the last minute, she extended her wings to glide and circle. Meanwhile, Darwin knew he wouldn’t be able to do such a maneuver, and so proceeded to land upon the earth with a thunderous sound. Soon, he managed to stop as Antaa’s circling ended and she landed among his withers – her wings folding up and emitting an excited flame across her wings, feathers ruffling and chirping in her pride. Darwin chuckled to himself, mentally motioning toward the phoenix of all the things she was learning and how she was seemingly just showing off at this point. However, his gaze found an antlered mare among the lush grasses. He paused for a moment before dipping his head to her with a soft smile. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there!” He called out, hoping that their rather immediate appearance hadn’t frightened the woman. "Talk." It’s like marrow without bone, to live in a house with no home. @Guinevere |
