wax and wire [Patrol] - Sunjata - 11-16-2016 S U N J A T A The journey hadn’t been a long one to the Rotunda. Still, he wasn’t entirely sure he was headed in the right direction. The instructions had been simple enough, patrol the Ancient Rotunda. But as he mulled the name over in his thoughts, he realized he had no clue where he was headed. So he leaned on those that accompanied him in the attempts of figuring out just where to go. The blue bird stayed silent most of the trip, keeping his thoughts and ideas to himself as they made their way. His company had been the striped woman with wings on the side of her head, and a couple of children. He did his best to stay civil, and he found that keeping his thoughts and ideas to himself would be the best option of choice. He didn’t need to say something he’d regret and have these tiny creatures around him spouting them out later. Luckily for Sunjata, the pale colt had proven useful already in giving the stallion the correct directions to this place. While it hurt his pride some, trying to figure out where the place was, he also found it beneficial. The quicker they found the place, the quicker they could patrol, and the faster the task would be over with. It just seemed to make sense, right? With the directions in hand and company to the place of the patrol, he emerged into a clearing. A large building was in the near distance with multicolored shades dancing across its pale marble structure. He tilted his head slightly, pausing in his step as he tightened his large azure wings against his body. The sound of the river nearby caused his attention to pull from the building. This was the patrol area? Perhaps it was his naivety that made him unable to imagine any horrible things happening in a place that appeared so peaceful. He stepped further into the area, his hooves crunching along a thin layer of ice that had formed from water from thawing becoming frozen again. The clouds billowed overhead, threatening to drop shards of ice as rain, causing Sunjata to do the best he could to not shiver in front of the building and the others. His head swiveled to his partners in the patrol, wondering what they thought of it all. Was it normal for them? To see this building as such? Sunjata had never seen anything like it from where he hailed from. “Has this always been here?” He questioned after a moment. His words thickly laced with the accent of the Korofi, his gaze trailing from them to the building once again. "Talk." We slipped into midnight like the death of the sun. It's not great, but it's a start! Permission from Odd to have Matheo give Jata directions. @Luther @Maren @Matheo RE: wax and wire [Patrol] - Toulouse - 11-21-2016
RE: wax and wire [Patrol] - Luther - 12-24-2016 The colt followed as best as he could. The blue pegasus seemed to be the point of this merry band, so he followed and shoved his wings down, trying to stay in his wake and use her wind to help keep him afloat. Fortunately, they didn't have to travel too far, and he touched down, taking a deep, gasping breath. Luther wasn't being dramatic - he simply was new to flying so far. The boy shook his head and his short, black mane and looked at the tall, marble structure, grunting absently. He was not an emotional child. Something was wrong with him inside. He just knew... But there was little use in harping on it - not when he had other ways to prove himself. The boy just shrugged when Sunjata asked about the marble. Luther wouldn't know. He'd never been here before. "Looks... complicated to build," he muttered, wondering how Helovians worked together to create something this big. A stranger then approached and something about his smiled seemed off. But then again, Luther didn't really smile. Maybe there were both off. The boy watched with hawkish, yellow eyes as this stranger asked what they were doing so far west. As far as Luther knew, his mother would not send him into enemy territory, so this land was unclaimed. This stranger did not have ground to demand about their presence. Maybe he was just missing some part of normal conversation? Wouldn't be the first time... "Observing," he answered simply and without detail. He was flat when he spoke and void of the normal song and dance of humanity. @Toulouse @Sunjata RE: wax and wire [Patrol] - Mathèo - 01-01-2017
