@Alysanne :D <3 RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Alysanne - 02-26-2017 For a moment, Alysanne and Hemlock enjoyed a peaceful Birdsong day - the small owl was hunting insects that were buzzing around the long grasses and weeds - and Alysanne was taking a small moment to stand in the sunshine, letting the gentle rays warm her as she tried to ease out of the tension that was causing her stomach and mind to coil. It wasn’t working. Frustrated, she opened her eyes just in time to see something new. Alysanne hadn’t seen the fall exactly, but the flash of white and blue in the sunlight had certainly drawn her attention - and she moved forward to investigate. Her legs on the ground always travelling with a grace and ease that she had not yet discovered in the air. Her green eyes were already soft with a smile once she realized that the pegasus in the river wasn’t thrashing about because of pain or injury - but seemed to be enjoying the feel of the water along his wings and back. She couldn’t remember the last time she had seen such a brilliantly coloured pegasus - almost everyone in Helovia was a black, white, or a shade of brown with a few colours mixed in. She admired the incredible hues as she approached, but quickly had her eyes travel to his - lest she be caught staring - and a warm smile shone there when she came to stand on the muddy banks of the river. With ease, she ignored the tracks that suggested he had fallen instead of purposefully ended up in his current position. It wasn’t her way to attempt to embarrass anyone, especially not a stranger. When she spoke, her tone was light and friendly, filled with a gentle amusement. “Enjoying yourself? I would have thought the water was still a little too cool for a bath…” alysanne the devoted @Sunjata <333 RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Sunjata - 02-27-2017
@Alysanne <3 RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Alysanne - 03-25-2017 It was always a pleasant surprise to be greeted with anything other than hostility. Alysanne had grown to expect, in some small way, that anyone she met would have their guard raised towards her now. Conversation with strangers had once come so easily, without even a hint of effort, and she was getting back to that now - slowly. When he stood, she took a small step back out of instinct even though she really hadn’t been that close in the first place - just to make sure that he had enough room. He spread his wings and with a charming grin performed an equally charming bow. She was smiling brighter herself in response, his accent familiar but still unique enough that she could not place it immediately. She wasn’t about to test his claim that the water wasn’t too cold herself but merely laughed in delight at his playful wink. Sunjata introduced himself, stating that he was from the Dragon’s Throat. Well, she seemed to be meeting a lot of their members lately! “I’m Alysanne, from the World’s Edge.” There was something endearing about the way his feathers and short mane stuck out in all directions - she wondered if it had simply been from how he had been bathing or if he always looked bedraggled. Did she look like that after she emerged from one of the ponds in the Edge? If she did, she doubted she would sport the look with a cool ease the way Sunjata did. But what she lacked in messy charm, she had in grace. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sunjata.” Now, she stretched her foreleg out and bowed - unfurling her wings in a fashion akin to the gesture he had performed for her only moments ago. Her green eyes shone with delight as her head dipped, not leaving his face, and even more so when she straightened back up. alysanne the devoted @Sunjata <33 RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Sunjata - 03-27-2017
@Alysanne <33 RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Alysanne - 04-04-2017 Her bow was rewarded with a small chuckle, which meant it was a success, and a closing of the gap between them. She remained where she was, curious and delighted at her chance encounter with the blue pegasus. He went on to explain that he had a sister that lived in the World’s Edge and immediately, Alysanne was searching through her mind trying to figure out if his face reminded her of anyone. Nothing rang a bell, unfortunately, and her heart ached for him. The separation between siblings was one that she knew well - it had never been easy to be here in Helovia knowing Iona lived somewhere else. And the feeling of her reunion with her sister? That was something she wished very much for everyone, including Sunjata. Her response was earnest when she replied, a small smile in her gaze hoping to coax some cheer out of him. “Of course I will. What’s your sister’s name?” As their conversations moved to lighter things, Sunjata shook out some water on his coat and Alysanne laughed brightly when a few droplets. Shivering slightly as a few landed on her cheek - and mentally noting that the water was indeed cold but not remarking on it out loud - she shook her head to shake the droplets off, catching his next question as she did so. “Oh you know, the usual. I just walk around trying to catch a dashing stallion in the bath.” She grinned brightly, punctuating her sentence with a quick, playful wink. Her tone turned thoughtful, lightly teasing on the edges. “You’re the third one I’ve come across today, you know.” alysanne the devoted @Sunjata RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Sunjata - 04-06-2017
@Alysanne flirting Jata is weird to write as I'm finding out LOL RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Alysanne - 04-08-2017 Alysanne filed away the name of Sunjata’s sister in her mind for further reference - so that she could keep an ear out for her. Considering Sunjata’s bright colouring, she suspected that Saartjie might have some similar distinctive colouring. It was wonderful to meet someone that cared so much for their sibling - much the same way that she cared for Iona. She’d certainly be asking someone to keep an eye out for her sister if they ever got separated here in Helovia. His chuckle was a delightful reward for her teasing, warming and deepening Alysanne’s smile. She ducked her head at his compliment, though - a little embarrassed at how easily his words and that roguish grin had made her blush. Sunjata’s next words brought her attention back up to him, her green eyes rolling gracefully at the comment about how it wouldn’t be too difficult to find dashing stallions. She really didn’t find it that easy - but he didn’t need to know that. “Oh, sure, but it’s finding the right dashing stallion.” She quipped back, still with an easy smile. “Not as in Mr. Right, of course, but as in…” She trailed off, trying to think of the best way to phrase what was in her head in a manner that wasn’t too blunt. Or maybe blunt was okay - Sunjata didn’t seem to have any problem speaking his mind, even if he was just being a smooth talker. Why should she shy away from the responses that came so naturally. So with a crooked grin she continued her explanation. “Well, most men are willing to do anything - but it’s the rare ones that can do it well.” She tilted her head then, as though it was a question - as though curious about which category he might fall into. And, of course, she was quite curious indeed. alysanne the devoted @Sunjata RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Sunjata - 04-08-2017

Sunjata continued their game and Alysanne chuckled with delight, a soft and faint noise as she watched him puff out his chest and pose as a regal stallion - playing it up even more by changing the tone of his voice. He sounded like some sort of exotic prince, which was certainly enticing, but then he moved closer to her again - and Alysanne didn’t dare move. When the soft feathers of Sunjata’s wings grazed along her chest and shoulder, a shiver coursed through Alysanne - unbidden but utterly pleasant. Her green eyes were bright, focused entirely on his face as he continued to speak, cooing more words but in a different tone - huskier, darker. Although both the men he paraded for her were attractive in his accent, the second grabbed her attention more. Alysanne might actively seek out the more regal, honest men but when it came down to her choices her subconscious always chose danger. The mischievous glint in his eye encouraged an answer from her and she was certainly willing to provide one. “I think…” Her gently voice ttrailed off quietly, pretending to think - a fire lighting in her eyes as she moved towards him - taking a small step forward as her dark muzzle reached out to brush against his skin and whisper an invitation against it. “I could more fun in my life.” alysanne the devoted @Sunjata RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Sunjata - 04-13-2017
@Alysanne HO MAN. RE: i'll never be your chosen one - Alysanne - 04-19-2017 His touch on her skin had the dual action of both relaxing Alysanne and causing her to tense. She delighted in the gentle way his feathers brushed against her, at how his muzzle moved and he lipped gently at the feathers of her wing joint. Despite the scars that were present there, it was still a sensitive spot and her green eyes closed with pleasure at the feel. They flashed open a moment later when he moved - when his cooing words reached her ear and a smirk grew on her features. She flicked her tail as he moved back - hoping to catch him at least a little bit with those soft strands as she turned to look back at him. “It’s a tragedy, really.” She responded, playfully commenting how how it was a shame how rare it was to find someone that enjoyed the same things. It was a shame and Alysanne was filled with delight and hope that this run in might be the start of something new. Not a relationship or anything near as serious - but a time in her life not quite so lonely. Perhaps, should everything go well, they should make it a habit. She certainly wouldn’t mind. Her breath was quickening, eyes focused on him - on nothing else. There was no one else around, no one that mattered. She didn’t mind that they were standing in a meadow, unobscured by view. All she could think of was his chin running along her spine, moving back. “We should take advantage of it while we can.” Her gentle voice was little more than a whisper, shifting her wings so that her back was more exposed - trying her very best to not sound desperate. It had just been a very long time since she had exercised her right to enjoy this particular thing. alysanne the devoted @Sunjata YAY ALY'S 600TH POST! :D |
