Radioactive - Keres - 10-30-2012 The day the shadows descended she ran. The screams of the poor souls that had remained, that hadn't been able to escape, haunted her dreams each night. She'd rouse shuddering and dripping with sweat. Her eyes would be wide and whited around the edges, her mouth frothed, as she choked on a shriek of terror. She shouldn't be so afraid. Not when the blood of Imiq and Cinnoru coursed through her veins. She was pure. She was above the riffraff that plagued these lands and the ones in between Isilme to Helovia, sweet sanctuary from the blight that had rushed across her home and devoured everyone. Her breath purled in sultry wisps as she exhaled frigid air. Her venomous eyes skipped across her surroundings and almost immediately condemned them. If you'd seen one forest you'd seen them all. There was nothing spectacular here - just deadened slumbering trees and frost. The world had gone quiet with winter... and Keres was becoming restless. She hungered for purpose. She craved misfortune. Her hooves crunched in the ice as she delved deeper and deeper into Helovia's Threshold. Her hips, they eloquently swayed as she encompassed feline femininity and prowess. Her neck was arched in a way that subsequently protected the sultry line of her throat, as though someone would have the mind to leap out at her and maim it. 'Always a possibility.' the perilous mistress thought with humour. She'd made enemies in Isilme and perhaps they had followed her here? If they were lucky enough to survive, of course! ooc; a little rusty! i have to get used to this type of character again! they'll get better! :) RE: Radioactive - Ricciardo - 10-30-2012
RE: Radioactive - Keres - 10-30-2012 Why was it that so many women thought men were complicated creatures, she wondered? Their hearts adorned their sleeves while a man? A man was governed by something much more primal and impulsive. 'Instinct.' she thought coyly as a smirk twisted onto her silver lips, as the stallion nearly bumbled into her and rambled his apologies, then tried to remedy the situation with inquisitions. A brow rose at him as her vivid eyes rose to the horn nestled in the middle of his forehead and then trailed to the rest of him: well formed, sandy coloured, and uniquely marked. A fellow unicorn was worth her time and worth her words. Had this been another species (those naked mole rats or flying pigs) she would have been far less gracious in this encounter. She would have eaten him alive. "Ohh you are forgiven." she drawled as her ears subconsciously flicked forward. "Yes... was it that obvious?" She'd humour him. The delicate creature was many things: pretty, emboldened, pureblooded... but she wasn't naive. No. Keres knew exactly where she was and never lacked intention. She had plans for this place... Plans that would have made her father and grandfather proud. Though Isilme was lost to vicious darkness she could rectify her mistakes here, her shortcomings here. The Originals concepts would not be lost not so long as she breathed and indulged the sweet nectar of life. "My name is Keres... and you are?" the chrome sylph intoned as she probed for his name. 'I'll start with you.' her first conquer in these bountiful new lands. Yes, she decided, as she eyed this dashing stranger. They were brimming with potential. RE: Radioactive - Ricciardo - 11-01-2012
RE: Radioactive - Keres - 11-02-2012 The way his eyes lingered on her pleased her. The chrome sylph wasn't a bashful creature though. No. Compliments, even if they were sly, were a nectar to her ears that she drank up eagerly. Her vanity was insurmountable and a testament to her fine breeding. Imiq and Cinnoru had something to be proud of in the one of the last of their line. Her smile widened as Ricciardo divulged himself to her though she wasn't quite sure what he was: curious, allured, a Sandman? What on Earth was a Sandman? Oddly enough, Keres found she was intrigued by something beyond her own endeavours and such was a rare occurrence indeed! "A what?" she had to ask, the tone of her voice rich and strong. It wasn't a flitting soprano tenor that befitted most women but wholesome sounding and assured. "Sanctuary, I suppose." Keres replied as the sorrel man asked of her intent of Helovia. "You see, pet, I come from a place that was gobbled up by shadows that could slice you in halves if they wished. It was a gruesome scene. I ran while I had the chance otherwise I surely would have died." her voice was grave. Did she feel remorse for the homeland she'd lost, the souls murdered in it? Perhaps she could summon the barest twinges of regret for them, her beloved unicorns. It was the equines and pegasus she condemned with that sundering wasteland! She often wondered who had survived. However, she couldn't dwell on such things now. Her reverie was lifted from her luminous eyes like a veil and all things macabre and past were forced away. Clarity was Ricciardo in her presence, a man worthy of her attention because of his blood and his species. "I suppose like most I seek purpose too... though I'm content with creating my own." She wasn't simple and wasn't incapable. They would see. |
