Under the dying sun, the Queen, born and raised, is told she should clean her sword(Unicorn reference). "Why?" she asks. "Fly your banner and show your colors!" (Colored feathers in her mane.)

Ktulu is the leader of the Grey's mercenaries and Lakota has called her 'Queen' before, hence throne.
Black as the shadows that gather
Ktulu is black
Under the dying sun, the Queen, born and raised, is told she should clean her sword.
Sword could reference Ktulu being part unicorn. Also the 'dirty' part could reference the red part of her horn, which many compare to blood.
