Forehead leaned into the rough bark. It scratched and pulled at his hairs as he ran it down with a groan. That had not gone well at all. A snort erupts forcibly as he tears from the tree. Such a mess now his dealings with Gaucho would become. Haldir looked upon his bonded with a most curious stare. He hadn’t known the full repercussions of the girl taking off. Certainly the tense words at the end, and her sudden departure had confused the poor thing, but nothing more. It was mostly the golden’s reaction that had him curious. In the gold’s mind it couldn’t have gone worse. He could only imagine what she was reporting from her ‘patrol’. Shaking he crown head he looks about him. The forest had grown quiet again and night had fallen.

The moon was full above, and it flooded the land with light enough to see. Shuffling away from the tree the golden paused. He was loathing to go to the Wildfire now, in the dark without thinking this through further. Luckily, the dun was not his only reason for venturing here. Pausing to think over the other tasks, the golden sighed, accepting what he now will do. Trotting he moves out of the forest, careful to keep under the cover of trees, even as they had shed their leaves. The last thing he wanted to do was be spied by more patrols. The smell of salt and sea came peacefully on the breeze and he knew he was close.

It wasn’t until he could see the moonlight reflect upon the ocean that he stopped. Haldir, worn by the quick pace was glad for it, and when the golden nosed him into a thicket he for once did not protest. Then the golden withdrew, he looked about, double checking before exhaling slowly, waiting for the gears to turn. His body began to morph and dye a completely different color, and before long Ampere stood where he once had. Shaking the mare’s short blue body the creature extended the wings, testing them once more. He gives not another glance to Haldir before heading down to the beach.

The dark blue mare now moves almost invisibly in the night as it comes to where the land bridge had last been. She pauses looking over the damage, and then with a speedy run, leaps over the edge. Wings catch the sea breeze, and though she falls slightly, she quickly rises up. The golden’s heart pounds in his chest. He still had not taken the plunge very much, and at every take off the thrill was more scary than he might admit. Rising on the early morning breezes, the electric mare circles high, looking for someone. The choice of using this guise and revealing it was more than just to blend in. It was a signal. A call. For while most would stare at their own reflection in shock, there was one in Dragon’s Throat who would see it as a call. Searching below and around as the winged mare tipsily rides the wind currents the signal rises for Ampere.

"TALK TALK TALK"
OOC::@[Ampere] He's trying to hang around as much as possible to the mainland side.
