Rottie :: Workout Challenge

I really want to lose the baby weight and what better motivation than to participate in this. Starting late but better to start late than to never start at all, yes? :D

Day 1 :: 7/20/2014 - 20 minute kettlebell exercise (baby cut it short... wanted to do 30 minutes -sigh-)

I think it fizzled out XD I know I flopped and failed. But I think I am going to start it again with the same goal: a drawing a day.

So I would do it with you @Ashamin (:
Magic usage is okay.
Just ask before doing any actions that may cause a great deal of damage first.
I am also okay with being tagged.

wanda's 100 day challenge
Eat healthy, do personal workouts 3x a week, and do one Helovian post every five days at minimum

October 22nd: Didn't get enough protein, but covered my macros otherwise. Light training session today; probably should've made it a touch more intense.
October 23rd: Rest day today! Ate healthy and pretty much hit my macros.
October 24th: One of my most hardcore leg days to date. I climbed 55 flights of stairs on the StairMaster (10 minutes total), plus free weights/machines. My main freeweight exercises were Bulgarian split squats, back squats, and cleans; the machine exercises were slow leg curls, leg press, and abductor/adductor. I also did a total of one pull-up (yay!)
October 25th: Rest day! Marathoned homework.
October 26th: Upper body, my least favorite thing... I can't remember what I did in specific since I'm filling this out on the 28th, haha, but my arms are still sore in any case.
October 27th: No workout, but I ate super healthy. Abs are made in the kitchen, right?!
October 28th: No workout, and eating was iffy at best. However, I'll get it back on track for tomorrow... change is gradual, after all.
October 29th: I. Am. Exhausted. Today was definitely a challenging workout. Freeweight exercises were Bulgarian split squats and back squats. I did some elastic band work and on the machines did more abductor/adductor exercises (plus hamstring curls, because my hammy game is weak.) Then did 15 minutes on the StairMaster and oh my god did it burn. I think I might've died. On the upside, I ate like a champ today and drank all the water (and tea. And coffee.)

I'm a rebel. I copy fancy looks.

Neo's 100 Non-Consecutive (:|) Day Challenge
Become An Awesome Dancer, Train Athena, and Lose Those 15 Pounds I Gained During The Past 2 Months

Day 1 – August 17th: Went to the pole studio for roughly an hour's training...
Day 2 – August 20th: My sister and I went out to Athena! I warmed her up and did some basic leg yield practice at a walk, and then it was my sister's turn. Let's just say she got a pretty good workout too, hauling my unbalanced baby Shire around xD But it was pretty amazing, because when standing on the ground I could see that she was starting to grasp what I am after in a leg yield! Now we'll just have to practice stability and getting her to step further "under and past" herself ^^
Day 3 – August 22nd: Went out to Athena again! She was a bit.. well, uninspired at a trot but I decided not to push it. Worked at a walk instead, practicing some more leg yields and turns on the forehand and generally just trying to get her to work in a mostly correct form.
Day 4 – August 24th: First day of school! But it was just introduction stuff... Then to the pole studio, because the courses are starting up again. I'm re-taking level 3 for a variety of reasons, but anyway, was a nice 1,5 hour training. Though, of course, since I've been sitting on my ass for 3 weeks my stamina is shit compared to what it used to be when I ran stairs allllll day, so I was a bit disappointed in myself lol.
Day 5 – August 25th: We're too school for cool. Slaughtering out a choreography to P!NK's "Raise Your Glass", to be done on Friday. Probably spent some 4-5 hours on it.
Day 6 – August 26th: The choreography adventure continued, with a good 3,5 hours.
Day 7 – August 27th: And it continued still, roughly 2 hours.
Day 8 – August 28th: The Big Day! Some 3-4 hours of work and fine-tuning and then our 3 something glory minutes lol. I messed up the MOST SIMPLE STEP but hey. Nobody died. Waiting to see a film of it ^^

VIDEO:

I'm one of the first three, the one on the right .. the one that is out of sync and later forgets a step ... :P

Day 9 – August 29th: Horse day! Because she'd just been at pasture for a week we took it easy, going out for a much-appreciated hack ^^
Day 10 – August 31st: First day of "real" school! 90 minutes contemporary (I have a video from this that I can't show, but jesus, I actually look pretty good in it?), 90 minutes street, and then 75 minutes pole when I got home. x__x;
Day 11 – September 1st: 90 minutes street, 90 minutes classical ballet! And a too-long lunch spent eating fast-food hamburgers, drinking tea, and eating a lovely cardamom bun I certainly didn't need in order to survive ...
Day 12 – September 2nd: Longest day of our week. 90 minutes street, 90 minutes contemporary. Lunch. 90 minutes jazz, and then a 2 hour block of "free time". I think we spent about 60 minutes practicing the shit we were supposed to practice, and then said it was optional to stay longer.
Day 13 – September 3rd: Odd combination of horse day and school! Because of things I had forgotten the previous day I had to get up at 5.30 and go to the barn and see Athena <3 She didn't get much time or much of an exercise, just some ~15 minutes trotting on sluggish footing.. then off to school, for 90 minutes jazz, huuuge break in which I went downtown and bought ballet shoes, and then 90 minutes classical ballet, and 90 minutes contemporary.
Day 14 – September 4th: WTF happened here? I started to get a sore throat last night so I figured I'd sit through our first class (jazz), and then do our ballet homework (port de bras) as it was a team thing.. so I did our ballet homework, because just doing ballet poses .. it's, well, it gets you warm and tired all right, but you don't really exert yourself in the same sense. Sit around and wait for our ballet class .. teacher doesn't come .. classmate goes down to get the key and it turns out our teacher is sick! Like, thanks for letting us know lmao. Anyway, I went out to Athena after school, took 39368 burdock flowers out of her forelock, and just did some general practice in the arena <3
Day 15 – September 5th: Dear Diary, today Athena tried to kill me multiple times. She was not successful. Actually it wasn't that bad, we were just disagreeing on how to behave, and then she tried to make a beeline for home and that happened to coincide with a spindly rowan at the same level as my head. It was leaning in over the path, sorta. I took it with my arm instead, and as punishment for having opinions on where we're supposed to go I forced her to trot past the path to home like 10 times before *I* turned her onto it. Ironically, it was some of the best trot work we've ever done...
Day 16 – September 7th: tbh my recollection of this day is kind of fuzzy. I *think* we had our 90 minutes contemporary class, and then just some 2-3 hours of loose practice-yourself-time? But then 75 minutes pole when I got home, yay!
Day 17 – September 8th: 90 minutes street, about 30-40 minutes practice of street stuff before we got booted out of the classroom, 90 minutes classical ballet, 90 minutes body percussion. Woop woop!

NEW GOAL: We've made a class pact with our street teacher to stretch for 15 minutes per day during the weeks. Did not do the stretch thing this day.

Day 18 – September 9th: Monstrous Wednesday that was slightly less monstrous.. Instead of our street lesson we had like, "food guidance" with our street teacher, who happens to be certified in that kind of thing. Then 90 minutes contemporary, 90 minutes jazz, something like 1,5 hour practicing jazz and body percussion stuff. x__x; But I did the stretch thing!
Day 19 – September 11th: Not listing yesterday because I sprained my ankle on the way to the bus so I didn't participate in the classes... I didn't participate today either, but I rode Athena ^^
Day 20 – September 12th: Horse day again! Took an easy trail with a friend and her recovering horse, so just walk and trot work.
Day 21 – September 14th: So, we're trying locking on our street classes for two weeks. I have a bit of a hard time with it. :/ But we had about 60 minutes locking, 60 minutes contemporary, and then free contemporary practice that was probably not more than 15 minutes lol. Then home, pole for 75 minutes, did my stretch thing!
Day 22 – September 15th: 90 minutes locking, 90 minutes classical ballet, 90 minutes ... music theory (very .. sweaty .. lol) and body percussion! Probably didn't do the stretch thing...
Day 23 – September 16th: Started out with 90 minutes locking (I'm staaaarting to get the hang of the movements but I'm about as cool as a limp fish), then 90 minutes contemporary. It was the end of our work with the song "Near Light", which was very lovely, so now we're onto something new! Yaay! Then, we had 90 minutes jazz, and I left at the start of our "free practice" class because I felt like shit. :/ Didn't do the stretch thing.
Day 24 – September 17th: 90 minutes crazy jazz, some street practice, 90 minutes classical ballet. Our contemporary class was cancelled-ish but we'd gotten instructions to put together a workout lmao xP So we worked with our own weights for like 30 minutes maybe? Not the sweatiest thing I'd done but it probably didn't hurt either! And I did our stretch thing like, twice! And when you sit down and take the time for it it feels soooo goood actually. Then, pony time!
Day 25 – September 18th: 90 minutes crazy jazz, as usual. Then some free time in which we put together improvised baroque-type ballet moves, and then we were supposed to have our ballet class but ended up talking for like the entire time about an art project we are getting involved in! Then home and out to the horsie who was a real star <3
Day 26 – September 19th: Horse time!
Day 27 – September 21st: We filmed a quick run-through of our "Near Light" choreography for the art project, and spent the better part of the contemporary class discussing how we learn dancing and other stuff. But we did work for some 30 minutes, including starting our next choreo! Then we had about 60 minutes of locking, and I had a pretty serious pole workout (~75 minutes) resulting in very sore arms. Did the stretch thing!

VIDEO:

I'm furthest to the right.

Day 28 – September 22nd: 90 minutes locking. Some repetition of our street choreography - the warm-up for that including pulse/stamina jumping to the entirety of "Work Bitch". x__x; Then 90 minutes classical ballet, and finally ~45 minutes rhythmic/body percussion. Didn't do the stretch thing. Bad Neo. :(
Day 29 – September 23rd: Discontinuing this due to the stress it causes me to keep up with...

The reason I'm deciding to do 100 non-consecutive days is because I will need time to relax without something stressing me. I believe that "missing" a day could cause negative stress, whereas a set-up with some more leniency will create a more positive environment for me :)

Niki's Homework Challenge
because I procrastinate..
and never get anything done on time

I'm a procrastinator and I'm trying to work on doing homework EVERY day. Spending time getting it done timely and efficiently. Plus I won't be throwing it together and then get an F because it's shit. So here goes nothing.

Goal = 1-2 hours EACH class (2-4 hours total), daily goal.
August 30: achieved/not achieved (will come when class starts tomorrow)
