With every breath the mare took in and heaved out, her throat stung from the chill that still hung in the air, the sound of her hoof beats muffled by the soft earth and thick foliage. The way the thick, towering trees twisted all around her made her anxious and alert. The darkness created by the canopy of thick branches hanging above, blocking most sunlight gave the grey Lusitano chills. If she was lucky, she would walk under a stream of light that had managed to force its way through letting the light warm her coat. Her near white coat made her stick out in the darkness like a black sheep in a white herd. "Dammit!" She thought to herself, as she tossed her head. It seemed as if the forest got thicker with every step she took, the bottom of her legs were getting scratched up from stray branches, a few drawing blood. It seemed as she had been walking for hours, her smokey grey legs scratched and her body weak. She found a small clearing and lowered her body to rest and grazed.

(( OOC: For anyone who is curious or confused on her looks, she is a grey Lusitano. Her body is mainly white including her mane and tail. a little more then half of her legs are a smokey grey and has slight dappling where the grey meets the white. Her back legs have the same smokey grey including her nose and around her eyes, sorry I would put a picture but the one I have isn't working))

Taking a deep breath the pale stallion took in the air around him enjoying the coolness of the forest as he yet again entered the threshold. Not long ago he had been here trying to figure out where it was he was supposed to go in this land. It was only thanks to the kind creature Artemis that he was able to find his way into the realms of the foothills. It was an appeasing landscape with so much to offer yet very little of it remained untapped of its potential. As time passed it would be interesting to see what all their herd would be able to accomplish to once again make themselves known as more than just lounging around waiting for things to happen. Life meant more than waiting, you needed to get out and make things happen if you expect to see changes.

His curious mind could never stop thinking of things he had yet to accomplish in his own life driving him forward day after day. This might be what drew him back to the threshold this fair evening hoping to meet others who he could relate to or even help in their own journey's. Gazing up to the sunlight that still flickered through the canopy he was momentarily blinded by the sun before his eyes adjusted to the realm of the underside of the canopy. It was here that he had found great amusement watching the small creatures bounce about from branch to branch in their travels. Many colours decorated the many birds who flew about singing and calling to one another. On occasion as he journeyed along the elaborate silver designs on his dappled pelt would attract the attention of various birds and send them swooping down to get a closer look before they fluttered away.

Movement ahead caught his gaze as a bright flash of white passed his line of sight in the distance. Perking his ears he listened intently only to hear the soft footfalls of another equine up ahead. His curiosity grew as he decided to further investigate walking almost silently to where the mare had settled. In fact her coat was a rich grey in colour instead of the prior white he had assumed upon first glance. Shaking out his own long tassels so they fell evenly over his neck and forehead he took a small step out of the trees hoping to not scare the mare half to death. Nickering gently in greeting he stopped letting his silver orbs gaze gently over her rather flawless frame for a second before speaking. "Hello miss, how are you on this lovely day? My name is Ciceron, can I help you find anything?"

His vocals were soft and friendly which he followed up with a small smile hoping to put any of her nerves at ease. He knew that not all equine took kindly to having another approach them, so he respectively gave her her space stopping a few feet away. Lowering his eyeline to just below her orbs he hoped the oddness of his eye colour would not draw false conclusions on her part. He had been told in the past that they made him seem rather intimidating at times just because of the odd hue making it difficult for others to see within. Hopefully his actions would speak for themselves portraying the gentleness that he held within himself. Silently he waited for the mare to speak before he was to say anything else.
