Evangeline had followed the trio from the Threshold to the World's Edge in silence, her only conversation being a mental one with the dragon who was still laid across her neck with his head resting between her ears. The trip was one she could have made alone because she had already known where the land that the Edge claimed as their own lay, but after the greeting she had gotten in the Threshold she had decided that it was safer to travel in a group. Her ears flicked this way and that as she picked up sounds of birdsong and the occasional whinny in the distance from one of herd members. After spending so much time alone with just her mate and her child it felt strange joining up with a herd. It had been a long time since she'd claimed any group of horses.

"Home." Tallis said to her as they continued through the forest, most of which she remembered being burned to the ground during the sun's wrath. Emerald eyes scanned over trees, some of which still bore the scars of the Sun God's anger, most of which had been replenished by the Earth God. "Gods." The orange dragon huffed and rolled his charcoal eyes. "No good." Evangeline shared the sentiment he did mostly because her previous time in Helovia had been when the gods had been disputing like children and making the ones that followed them so blindly suffer.

The orange mare sighed as she continued to look around the forest and she had to admit that it felt right to be standing in a forest, however thin it might be compared to the Woodlands she had called home, but it wasn't home. Not yet, anyway, and she knew that it would take a lot of work on her part to accept Helovia and the World's Edge as her new home because there was no going back to Isilme. It was completely out of the question and she had to come to terms with it and accept it. Whatever part of her heart had been left behind would have to grow anew.

"Thank you." She finally broke the silence and spoke to the threesome. "For inviting me to your home." She clarified moments later, to which Tallis trilled his own 'thank you' to the group.

It had been a quiet journey overall. Lace had kept mostly to himself as he followed the mares back home, busying himself with ensuring the safety of the small piece of herd to keep thoughts from running wild. There were many things he wanted to talk to the chestnut mare about, questions that burned like nettles on the tongue. Yet he remained silent, replying only absentmindedly whenever he was addressed and left the talking to Brisa and Kahlua. Evangeline seemed caught up in her own troubles as well, and so it was with relief the grullo spotted the glistening stretch of glass border that caught the rays of the sun from a distance.

Intent on going his own way once they were all safely within the cool embrace of the wall, the stallion only nodded with a faint smile as the dragonbonded girl thanked them - for what, he thought quietly. Worsening a situation she had been perfectly equipped with handling on her own? Snatching her up to include in a herd that was far from safe and peaceful, as much as they wanted to pretend in the stillness of the dense forest? Lace had no doubt that she would lead a much safer life away from the dirty business that was herd politics... But that was no way for a leader to think, now was it.

"Of course" he said quietly with a soft voice, and let the curve of the lips fade. "If you need anything just let me know, I will do what I can. Make yourself at home."

As he turned to leave the pale dragon leaped away from his back where she had perched and swooped up towards the canopy, soon invisible in the vivid labyrinth of greenery. A warbling call sent an echo bouncing between the never ending trunks that formed the shaded cathedral - and somewhere in the distance a chorus of draconian voices replied, welcoming her back home.

Dim vales- and shadowy floods-
And cloudy-looking woods,
Whose forms we can't discover
For the tears that drip all over!
Huge moons there wax and wane-
Again- again- again-
