Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

The heat had broken however today the temperature was rising, a summer storm was rising in the distance. Golden orbs looked over the looming mass of black and dark grey, fear raising a sick feeling into her stomach. Never had the doe been a fan of storms, even since she had been a little filly the great mass of clouds and thunder had stuck fear to her very core. Hooves planted firmly into the the cool grass, Arah decided that she needed to find shelter and quickly. Gazing carefully around the surrounding fields, the doe spotted what she thought was a cave. Normally The impersonator would have been quite panicky in such a situation, however within her body grew a new life. She remained calmed her his or her sake. It was still in the early stages however Arah just knew. "Don't be scared my little one." Her whispered comfort was for the tiny life within her. If anyone told Arah that she would grow to become a mother, she would have laughed in your face. In fact the entire idea would have been such a humours thing, the ivory raven would ask questions about your sanity. Not once had the golden eyes mare ever shown any mothering characteristics. Now times where different, the life inside her was teaching her how to love another one with such ferocity...well she would never let anyone hurt her child.

Crowley had given her the gift of life...he had given her a little one. Right now? It meant the world to her. Starting to walk towards the cave in the distance, Arah was careful about not rushing. The very last thing the ivory doe wanted to do was trip and cause damage to the new life within her. Instead the doe kept her eyes on the cave and took her time, one hoof in front of the other. Carefully...don't rush. Even her normally crazed thoughts were calm and soothing. It was as if Arah had allowed herself to think that she was actually going to make it to the safety of the cave and the gods sought to prove her wrong. There was a few snaps, a tearing sound and a startled gasp from Arah's chops. Concealed within a dark path of grass was a bush of thorns. As Arah had placed her front right hoof down, snapping away the defenceless sticks, the thorns that lurked underneath had torn at her skin and trapped it. "Oh no!" Her voice was high pitched and full of panic. Thunder rumbled overhead and lighting cracked. "No no no!" The panicked mare began to try and tug her hoof fee. Her body and mind now trapped in a state of pure panic.

"Help!" Sobbed Arah, her voice was broken and terrified. Was it the panic that was making the storm approach at a faster pace? "Please...anyone..."
