Excerpt from creation thread:
Third was to be for the Foothills, which she had visited only once but had found pleasant enough. A bear had been her vision, so she thought of all the bears she had seen and decided on the grizzly. A large creature, standing with three feet on the ground and the fourth striding forward with determination. He seemed to be on a mission in her mind, and the foggy surroundings were on a mission to make her vision reality. The sun had passed across much of the sky by the time the mare picked two dark green stones to make the creature's eyes but she still could not rest.

With the herd meeting completed, Kahlua returned to her little slice of heaven and gathered up her final statue, the only one not to yet be delivered. Settling the thing in her basket, Kahlua whinnied out for Alysanne and Miykael and then set off on a mission to the Foothills. She had been there before, so finding her way was not an issue and soon enough, though her mouth grew weary sometimes from holding the rather large basket and statue, she was at the borders.

Remembering her last encounter with unicorn from the Foothills, Kahlua stood well back from where she remembered the borders to be and whinnied out again, her dancing soprano filling the air. “We are friends from the Edge,” she called out with determination. She was not scared, she was willing and eager to build the Edge relations with the Foothills, if they would have it.

As she waited, she set the basket at her feet, touching her nose to the glass bear with a bit of nostalgia. The statues were the first thing she had made upon her appointment to Glazier. She was not unhappy to see the last of them go to their rightful home- it was what she had made them for, after all. However, she couldn't honestly say that she was pleased either. She was going to miss the things, especially the Bear, as it had sat in her own little area of the Qian's forest for so long, waiting for its time, waiting to be delivered. Still, regardless of her feelings about the thing, the time to deliver it was now. It was what was best for the herd.

OOC| @[Alysanne] and @[Miykael] first please, then whoever. Leaders preferred, but anyone with a reason to be here is welcome :) Reference :: Of course, the bear is made of glass as mentioned.

To sum up Alysanne on this particular day with one word would be quite simple: she was excited. This was the first time she was getting the chance to visit one of the herds – and her company could not be better. When given the chance, she had happily volunteered to accompany Kahlua on her travels – not forgetting her promise to visit Blizten when she got the chance – and Mikey joined them. His presence was comforting. Still, in the back of her mind – well, not even, it was everywhere in her mind – was the knowledge that they were going to have to leave sometime soon.

But, just as she knew that, she knew it would not be forever. Her time in Helovia and in World’s Edge had been so phenomenal she could not turn her back on them – especially not Kahlua.

So while those thoughts had been tumbling around her mind for some time, in this moment they were stored carefully in the back of her head for the future. Right now, there was a new experience awaiting her.

She followed Kahlua to the Foothills, realizing along the way that she had been this way before – when she had met Cypress in the meadow on the mountain. How funny she had been so close to one of the other herds and had not even realized it!

A little story she shared with her friends as they travelled.

Soon enough, though, Kahlua came to a stop and Alysanne rested beside her – shuffling her wings a little bit and looking about with bright green eyes. Was it silly that she was excited about this? There was so much about Helovia she did not yet know and here was a completely unknown land to her – filled with equids and their companions who had life stories and who had chosen, for whatever reason it may be, to settle here.

The trip, in other words, was a perfect distraction from her troublesome thoughts.

Glancing at the basket containing the bear, she could not help but admire her friend’s skill all over. She still proudly wore the headband that had been created for her upon her first day in the Edge. “They’re going to love it, Kahlua. I just know it.” She remarked (not for the first time, though it was just as truthful as it had been before) as they waited to be greeted – her usual warm smile in place.

When Kahlua had called out for company to help deliver statues to the other herds, Miykael eagerly offered his help. To his pleasant surprise, he and Alysanne had been chosen to accompany her to the Foothills. The three of them together - a trio of painted individuals, and he with his lighter tones was the odd one out - set out on their mission once the herd meeting had finished. Miykael followed a bit behind and to the left of the two black and white ladies, allowing Kahlua to clearly lead the way. Miykael wasn't certain of where he was going but he did know that the place sounded familiar.

He'd had an offer to join the Foothills upon his arrival to Helovia. And this delivery was merely a reminder that he had wanted to keep in touch with Solace, the stallion that had made the offer. Miykael remained silent as they walked along, listening happily to Alysanne's story (though, in truth, he'd listen to and believe anything she said) then enjoying the quiet that followed. The dunskin tobiano Pegasus sensed a small amount of discomfort in Kahlua but just as he was about to increase his speed to catch up with her and offer to carry the statue for a time - she stopped. They had reached the borders of the Foothills, it seemed.

Settling in beside Kahlua, placing her in the middle of himself and Alysanne, the stallion turned his attention to the statue in the basket that she had set on the ground in front of her hooves. The bear, made of glass just like the wall surrounding the Edge, has dark green stones for eyes and is so beautifully rendered. Kahlua's skill in crafting glass is nothing short of remarkable. In fact, it is quite impressive. Although, to be quite fair, Miykael had never seen such capabilities. He had grown up with magic, yes, and had seen much in his time but this was something new. With a smile and a nod of his head in agreement to Alysanne's statement, Miykael tucked his large wings a little tighter to his sides and waited patiently for anyone to arrive.
