((Until Chastity dies by the Sun Gods wrath, Im going to play both her and Irene from the same account. If she ends up not dying Ill join her account))

Together they walked, the flaxen chestnut supporting the younger dark bay mare. Each step seemed to cause pain to the younger one. The trip had been long, the pair had almost not made it out. The flaxen mare sighed. How foolish the child had been, to try and fight those horrid shades. Ocean blue eyes glanced to the bay she supported. If it had not been for her, Irene would of never made it out of Isilme. For that she owed the child her life. "If only I had been able to save more...." Her thoughts raced, wondering where her brothers, her comrades were and if any of them had made it out alive. Those things... Those dark almost life like creatures that could cut you by merely running through you... How many more lives had they taken...

The bay took each step in pain. Every now and then she would wince. The shades had done a number on the young unicorn. Had it not been for Irene, she wouldn't of made it out. Chas had no reason to run. Her life, her everything, had been in Isilme. Her mother was dead, the one she looked to as a father was dead. Why should she not stay and fight for the only place she had ever called home? It had been Irene who changed her mind. The unicorn with the ocean blue eyes and horn... She had been running from shades, trying to get out, to escape. Chas had jumped to distract them. When the sun rose and the shades temporarily left them... It had been Chas who told the other fem she could lead her out. Together they had excaped.

Now the pair entered into Helovia, following the path and hoofprints of others who had run months ago. The sunlight gleamed off of the jewel at Chastity horn base. What a pair the two mares made. Without one another, they both would of died in Isilme.... But what did the world of Helovia hold for them?

reaching as I sink down into light

The Edge was healing, the sharpened punctures of resonating lacerations retreating, fleeting, as the forest began to soothe, assuaging and relieving the crushed partitions of logs, drugged, dragged copses reaching back into the light; consolation, comfort and solace. Without the withering, decrepit ash sinking and saturating lungs, hearts, and minds, new life breathed into their scenic venue, flowering, flourishing, prospering from delicate, warped blossoms into a luscious glade of florets, thriving even in the hot, molten rays of the sun. Renewal, regeneration, and revival, in the silken shelter of strength, perseverance and guidance. And with the assurance of rejuvenation came the stalwart wish for more creatures inhabiting the precious palisade, to fill the roots, timber and grassland, to stretch beyond the unsettled horizon and brandish swords towards their arcane fates and destinies, mingle, intertwine with the pulsing regard of so many other dedicated wanderers. They deserved this, the desire for resilience, the yearning for prosperity – they’d already suffered from the hysterical mania of abhorrence. So, she searched, the mystical, enigmatic nymph, the spirited sylph, the ethereal naiad, for more tender souls who longed to carve their names into the trunk of a home. Her own nomadic, Romani motions enhanced this drifting, meandering prose and poise, so used to the winding roads of yesterday’s calamity and today’s hope, movements were soft, radiant, dulcet actions that rendered silence, quiet, peace, allowing the forage of others to go undistracted. Her gaze turned and twisted upon the interlocking branches, the searing, seizing leaves, breath pushing at their tickling armaments until the ghostly scent of another, two, distracted her altogether. She followed, deliberate finesse coiled again in the fabric of her rich, bay hide, reaching for the lost souls of this brackened, illusive world. When she finally came across the duo, she gasped, a light, hollow sound that broke into the silent, hushed realm – were they in pain - one supported, one carried, gestures of a wounded, beleaguered set. Lena immediately allowed her frame to be seen, taken from the glade, placing her body towards the others, stare rigidly composed to one, then the other. Was there something she could do to aid them? What was the cause of their distress (indeed, was there something lurking in the shadows that enacted this ill plunge, this savage brutality)? Her soft tunes floated from her parted mouth, lips not drawn into her usual, patterned smile, all worries settling into the crisp pose of her body. “Are you well? Can I help?"

Softly Irene whispered to Chas "Just a bit farther and we can rest..." However no sooner than she had spoken another bay arrived asking questions. Are they well? Well no Irene thought it was kind of obvoius that no they were not well. If they were well she would not still be limping and Chastity would not be leaning against her. Could she help? Maybe. "Know anyone who can heal wounds?" Ocean blue eyes looked to the younger mare with dual colored again.

At that moment Chastity coughed. The shades may not of done a number on her outside... Mainly because Irene had been able to use her medic skills to patch her up... But her insides were a mess. As she coughed the bay struggled to keep on her hooves shoving roughly against the chestnut. Irene braced herself and kept on her hooves and held them both upright.

reaching as I sink down into light

Lena wasted no time in offering her support, maneuvering her body close to the other bay, angling her shoulder alongside the distressed, ailing individual, hoping to further fortify and aid in the delicate, arduous situation. She didn’t ask any more, could not prosper or query notions of how they’d come to appear like this, sullied, blemished, broken and weary. They would share if necessary, if shadows of danger crossed over the Threshold's mighty, mysterious features, if circumstances rendered them stricken – to pry would be a meaningless venture, an intrusion into a livelihood that was not her own. Some, like herself, preferred the enigmatic plunge, where their origins couldn’t be judged, where opinions were furtive, depths unexplored, remaining ambiguous and obscure. But the mare delivered her own question, and the young mare’s gentle, soothing vocals rang from parted lips, eager to lend assistance in any way, but not ready to assume automatic acceptance of her postured inquiry. “My herd, The World's Edge, has a healer. May I lead you to him?" Personally, she’d never met the aforementioned creature; had heard of him on the winds of scars, bruises and other injuries, and presumed he would be able to provide some sort of remedy to this hastened, necessary cause.

The heat here was quickly taking it's toll on the pair. Irene looked to Chas trying to keep the young mare standing as the strange bay mare moved to help support. The chestnut barely heard the words the other spoke as her focus was on Chas. "Lead the way"

The soldier and medic training in Irene could do no more... other than no soldier gets left behind..... Their last day in Vanthra... that rule had been throw out the window... But that didn't matter now. All that mattered was the two year old leaning against her that needed more help than she could give. Oh if only her brothers were here....

Chas merely nodded and kept trying to keep moving. It hurt so badly to move, but at least they were away from the shades.... No more darkness.. The jewel as the base of her horn gleamed in the light almost as if it was a gleam of hope. A new land, a new life.
