Breeze had returned to Helovia as a more mature stallion; less shy, less insecure - but more broken. The realization of what he had done to Kiara and the regret that followed had sent him into a spiral of slight depression. Nothing seemed worth living for and the only thing he really wished for was to see his roan love again. Although he suspected she would not want anything to do with him because of his betrayal.

However as him and Nato started walking in the direction of the Edge Breeze felt his heart get a little lighter. There was still hope that Kiara was alive and well; he just had to cling to that.

His tan hooves moved somewhat easier over the ground now and he didn’t look too forlorn. However surprise graced his features as the black brute beside him stopped dead in his tracks. Apparently Nato had not been expecting the utter of the name “Isilme” and Breeze was immediately intrigued. Creamy ears stood straight up on his skull and he waited impatiently for the other to stop speaking.

He had never met someone from his mother’s birthland and he was eager to know more about this mysterious land that had been consumed by evil shadows of the dead.

When they started walking again Breeze got his window and he quickly started asking questions: "Do you know of Isilme, Nato? What was it like?" He said, looking almost like a foal in the presence of a bard.

Breeze had heard about the sapphire ocean surrounding the lush Wildwing Islands, the dense forest making out the Mystic Woodlands and the silvery sand of the Moonlit Tides. But his mother had not known much about Isilme. She had lost her memory not long before the dead rose to take over the lands and she didn’t even remember her real name. So Breeze would really like to fill out the blanks in his mother’s story; maybe he could even visit Isilme someday? Surely the dead must now have retreated back into their graves? After all this time, when no one was left to feed upon, why would they linger?

As the duo continued their march into the direction of the Edge, he found himself lingering on the thought that Breeze had known about Isilme. It was hard to think of that realm, even though he thought about it daily. He thought about her and the fact that she would never brush her lips upon his skin again.

”I lived there, for quite some time." The throat of the massive beast rumbled. He had lived there, and in a way died there too. He had given life, and taken them all the same, hate and war was thick in those lands… here so far to his impression was really no different.

Moving through the tree line as he lingered on the edge before stepping out into the moonlight, crimson eyes turning to gaze upon Breeze, seizing his movements and remaining on the edge of the shadows, letting the steam roll from his nostrils. "I was the Lord of the Mystic Woodlands." He said with a hint of pride, as he turned and gazed upon the hardly visible glass wall. "But times have changed things… long story really." He finished in a sigh, pulling his mass from the shadows and upon the Edge, enjoying its radian visual as it soaked upon his crimson eyes.

"I hope your love is here." He said in a soft tone referring to Kiara, the roan mare he had mentioned before. He knows all too well what it feels like to linger in regret, and loss.

Deep within the forest of the Edge, a roan mare stirred in her sleep. For months now, the mare had hidden out in the woods avoiding any and all who came near. Even her son was away from her side and did not know how to get back there. Beside her moved a black panther, much different than the little cub that had been there not many months ago. They had grown and bonded over the last few months. It had been what the little broken girl needed. The panther was her strength when she had none left. He moved first, standing to stretch and yawn. For to long they had been hiding. To long.

Keiran locked his eyes on his bonded frame as she slept. Gently he moved to wake her. First brushing against her side and then to her neck. Gently she began to stir. Her eyes opened, beautiful emeralds looking back at her bonded. "We explore? Together?" His male voice was the only one she had heard for months now. Malachi had wandered off about six months prior, to mixed feelings for Kiara. Gently she lifted her head from the ground and nodded. "Today we can explore... But not to far.. Not out of the Edge..." Keiran brushed against her side again like a house cat would to his loving owner to sooth the fem.

Together they moved out of the thick of the forest, Keiran eager to see this new wall they had heard rumors about. Sure enough the crafters had done it. The wall stood cold and strong at the bounderies. There was only one gap that the red roan had found so far and she stood frozen before it. There was so many possiblities beyond the wall..... But the red roan was to scared to take a single step outside the wall..... It was as she stared at the wall she began to think her mind was playing tricks on her. Coming towards the wall was a pair of stallions.... One a unicorn painted ebony and ivory.... the other... No... it couldn't be... He had long since abandoned her... Surely he would not be here.... Softly she spoke the name she had not been able to say for a while... "Breeze?"

The young stud listened to the dark unicorn as they traveled. He wondered if he ought to pay some kind of respect to the former lord of the Woodlands, but he reckoned that it would maybe remind Nato that he wasn’t a lord anymore. And no one liked to be reminded about what they had lost.

When the wall came in view Breeze stopped in awe. The glittering glass mesmerized him and for a long while he just stood there, watching, measuring the huge structure with his eyes. "Wow…" he mouthed with his black eyes widened.

He then quickly started walking again, catching up with his guide. "Nato, you don’t think that I could like stay here. You know, become a part of the herd?" he said as he reached Nato’s side. But as he said the words a worry came over him. Nato was a unicorn, so what if the unicorns had taken back the Edge and Breeze was now being led to his slaughter? But the creamy stallion decided not to care; if he were about to die - so be it.

The darkness had turned into light and it had actually become a rather fine Orangemoon day. The skies were blue and the sun even had some warmth to it. But Breeze was tired and he had always preferred the night before the day, and so it was in a kind of haze he saw two creatures step into the opening in the glass wall. One of the creatures was dark and the other shone like red copper in the golden rays of the sun.

Breeze squinted though the sun distorted his vision together with his tiredness and then he heard her voice. Like a higher being of light and good she spoke his name and for a second he couldn’t breathe. He stopped dead in his tracks again and just stared. Had he heard right? Did he just imagine the voice? No, she really seemed to be there and he realized that this was his chance to begin correcting his wrongs.

He heaved forwards and covered the remaining distance between them within a second. Standing before her, tears welled up in his eyes and he couldn’t bring himself to speak at first. Then he cleared his throat and said: "Hi."

Of all the stupid things he could say he had chosen to say “hi”. Why couldn’t he had just blurted out that he loved her and that he was sorry that he hadn’t known what love was and that he would never leave her again if she would only give him another chance? That was after all what he wanted to say. But no, the only word that left his lips where “hi”.

The obsidian stallion neared the glass wall with the winged Breeze at his side. His question of rather or not he could stay here, went unanswered for a moment as he thought about the stupid things of this place. Though, perhaps they were not entirely stupid- keeping anyone from just bringing anything to this place. But by now he felt that he should have the right, to say yes- welcome home. But all he could give was maybe you can stay- its not up to me to decide. The brute closed his eyes and rolled them in disgust at the thought; but let it pass as he paused a ways from the wall and gave a swift nod.

”I’m sure you will be welcomed here." He let his voice trail off into silence, as the sun began to paint the sky with an array of colors. It was morning, in the Edge- and a beautiful one it was. In the distance, glinted in and out of the sun a pair of figures Nato had never seen before. A name fluttered upon the air, but it wasn’t his. Breeze. Nato turned and looked to the pale stallion, perhaps they knew one another?

But before he could question anything; the Pegasus had leapt forth and moved to greet what Nato could now see was a Roan mare, and what appeared to be her companion- a feline of sorts. Was this the Kiara he had spoken of? Nato peeked his head around from behind the winged stallion, and neared the glass wall; but kept his distance for a moment to see what happens between the duo.

That glint in his eyes, the face could say it all. Hi. was all he said? Perhaps it was not her- then again his face looked like a long lost foal, that had just stumbled upon his lost mother. It had to be her. And for a moment, Nato thought of himself and Rita. How would he have reacted, if that was her standing at the gates of the edge? Would he have said anything at all? Nato shook his head slightly to snap him back to reality as he remained still; giving them their moment of reunion.

It all seemed to go in slow motion at first, then way to fast. She had spoken his name.... What a stupid, stupid move... Drawing attention to herself. What if they were enemies come to sneek inside the walls of the Edge? Kieran was yowling softly in a warning, as if to say that if either stallion meant harm they would have to come through him. But as the paler stallion threw himself forward it was clear to Kiara.... It was him! Breeze had not only returned but come to the Edge!

It was then the thoughts of the past few months came crashing down. The forced breeding, Malachi's birth, the wishes to end her life, all crashed around the roan at once. She staggered backward a few paces until she practically fell on her rump. Kieran growling softly in warning as the stallion halted. Her emerald green eyes looked at the stallion who held her heart... But did she have his? She could not be sure.... "Hi" Was that all he could say after being gone so long? Then again, she had left him too.... She had given up looking for him for a long time now.... Not only had she given up the Qian but him for her stupid quest... A quest she was yet to finish. As she stood staring at him, she whispered softly "Is it really you?" Surely her mind was playing a horrid trick. He was not back. There was no way he would come back for her, a broken and stupid mare like her.

Keiran, feeling what his bonded was thinking strode forward toward the pegasus. He was just like the memories she had shared with him as a cub. Without seeking her guidence or permisson, the cub tried to jump on the stud's back. There needed to be a way to prove to Kiara that he was there. Breeze was back and standing right in front of her. She could fully heal her wounds against stallions now... The one who could keep her safe was home.... What better way than to feel what Keiran felt?
