The land of Ainnir is a small country. It is dominated by a harsh god that is known simply as the Father, it is said his name is revealed only to a select few. Just as the Father is capable of acts of violence, he gives generously to those that he considers true.

The Mortal Land
Ainnir is a place of two incredibly different biomes. On the western side, it is coastal and many months the weather consists of mild temperatures and wet weather. While on the eastern side of the mountains, it is dry and flat, hot during the summer and cold amidst the winter months. The mountain range that splits the land in half is vast, and within them lies a labyrinth of tunnels that is said to be the gateway.

The Celestial
The Celestial is what the mortals refer to what is the land of the angels and the Father. This land is perfection incarnate, all needs are satisfied, it is Elysium, heaven, nirvana, paradise, whatever mortals wish to call it. The land is vast and the souls of the dead is separated from the land of the winged. The land of the dead is a place with an endless forest. Everyone who dwells there finds eternal joy. As for the angels, they live in the far eastern edge. There is a massive Cliffside with thousands of caverns that the angels make their homes, if the angel is a direct descendent of the Father the cave is crafted by his own hand, while if they are a descendent of two angels the parents will craft the cave themselves for their children. Each cave is made to fit the Angel’s personality. Beyond the Cliffside is the gate which is what leads to the mortal realm, and off to the east lies the Father’s temple. Only a select few ever are able to visit it.
The weather varies from day to day, but it is always pleasantly warm and very rarely rains.

The Mortal Culture

The Government

True blooded mortals are only unicorns and equines, but pegasi do roam the land occasionally, mortal winged are shunned as they are believed to be descendents of the Fallen. Equines and unicorns are on equal grounds, but there have been many wars fought between the two species in order to hold the title of ruler. The land is dominated by an emperor and four council members. Every ten years the council members vote in a new emperor. Council members may be thrown out by the emperor when they finally take power. When a new emperor arises they are taken before the Father to be blessed.

The Classes

The highest esteemed of all within the land of Ainnir are the prophets. Very few are permitted into the spiritual practice and the intimate role of being speaker for the Father. Mares or stallions may be prophets, no matter the gender they are called to celibacy. There minds, souls, bodies, and hearts are to be dedicated solely to the Father. There is always a Godhead that rules over all of the prophets and recruits apprentices. The Godhead is the main speaker for the Father and serves as an adviser as well to the emperor.

Next comes the Ruling classes which are simply the Emperor and the council. The council are who decide the next emperor, and can be thrown out by the Godhead or the emperor. Both of these classes answer to the Godhead.

Next is the military officers, typically the emperor is someone from the military. Both sexes serve in the army and are capable of being officers. They answer to the Emperor, and the general is appointed by the current emperor.

Beneath them all is the working class, which is exactly what it sounds like. These are the merchants, farmers, etc. They cultivate the land and produce and serve. They are the bottom of the heap only above slaves.

Religion
Worship of the Father is the most common faith, and it is against the law to follow any other god. The Father has many rules that have been polluted over the years. Each region has their own interpretation of what is the right way to worship the Father, and with each different Godhead, the right way to worship changes. Certain angels are prayed to as well if there is a need that is required of them. Amongst the Father worshippers, there are those that break the law and follow the way of the Fallen, and regard the main Five that fell which include, Abbadon, Samael, Raphael, Lailah, and Raziel.
The believers of the Fallen are often killed by both the Father’s angels and the prophets.

The Angel Culture
The culture of the angels is archaic and a well kept secret. All of them are bound to the Father, and the higher ranked have an intimate telepathical bond with him. No sex is dominant and the only ruler of them is the Father, but there are those with more authority. There are four groups within the angels that each are equal in importance.

The Executioners
Hamaliel once was the head of the executioners, and was the first of them. The executioners are what they sound like. They are tasked with the job of disposing of blasphemers and fallen. Not to be mistaken for warriors, these are highly trained assassins that come in with the shadows, make their strike and then flee the scene.

The Soldiers
Raphael was the general of the armies before his fall. The soldiers wage war against the fallen and protect the mortal souls residing in the afterlife and keep out intruders

The Harbingers
Headed by Gabriel. The Harbingers appear to the prophets and vision and transfer messages from the Father. Most messages are given from Gabriel to be given to the prophets. Gabriel himself only appears to the Godhead.

The Musicians

Formerly headed by Raziel. The musicians compose music to record the history of the Father and the history of the prophets. Each of these angels have exquisite singing voices.

The Fallen
Angels that rebelled against the Father’s will. Many different legends surround why the original five chose to turn their back upon the heavenly realm. Most commonly it is believed they wished to become gods themselves. Fallen are slain upon sight by the angels, so they very rarely linger within the realm of Ainnir

If you wish to make a character of your own from Ainnir feel free to PM me with a bio. If any character names that have been interested please PM me. I didn’t give much history around the angels for a very specific reason, as I don’t wish to give away too much about Hamaliel’s past, and if you play a character I will give a more detailed explanation, especially if one adopts Samael.
