@[Vadim] first and then it's open to whoever [:

She doesn’t even realize she is in the vicinity of the Sanctuary – its borders didn’t scream at her when she broke through. She kept running, sweating and cold all at the same time…her body cannot function like this much longer. She’s kept up with the flying shadows that guide her, their murmurs and wing beats navigating her through the forests and hills. Now she wades through dead grass; still running.

She trips and falls through a hole she did not see – fatigue has made this very aware, fairly cautious animal into a fleeing machine. When she tumbles down she blacks out, waking up on the warm floor of a crowded chamber. No one even seems to notice he unicorn as she clambers to her split feet. She’s muddy, skinny and heaving great bouts of tired breaths in and out of her lungs. She is hunched over like any beaten, exhausted horse would be; breathing and looking at the ground for a solid minute or two. It takes a second, once her mind is properly back together (somewhat), for her to realize where she is. Her eyes soften; her head rising, delight webbing across her face
She made it.

Anxiety soon replaces what joy could have accumulated. She does not see a familiar face in sight – not that she had many to reference, but two faces in particular are not here (at least she doesn’t see them). Panic replaces what little adrenaline she has left – her muscles have melted, so much so that she is afraid she cannot move from her standing spot. Her eyes weave in and out of the crowds, her ears and head stretching upward as far as they can manage comfortably.

She sees no Illynx and no Abishia.
Not good. Not good at all.

         VADIM

twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
blinded by me, you can't see a thing

He stands near the opening to the outside world, unwilling to go farther into the cave and mingle with horses he doesn't know, horses he would rather not know, and horses he doesn't care about. He thinks his parents are in there somewhere in the sea of bodies. He also thinks that his sisters are there and that his brother is there. Whatever family ties he had with them as a young foal have been severed and he sees them now as strangers. Sometimes he wonders if he ever truly knew them, but then he realizes that he doesn't particularly care. None of them had ever tried to know him.

His ears tilt back against his head as he hears hoof beats coming from the world above and he turns in time to see a mare dive headlong down the hole in the ground. His cloven hooves shuffle against the rock floor and his pale body bumps against the strange stone formations that are jutting up from the ground as he tries to get himself out of the way. The mare stops and looks around and he suspects that she is as lost as he is, but he says nothing and, instead, continues to stare.

Maybe she wouldn't notice him. Maybe she would just start running again and disappear into the caves and leave him alone where he was. Or maybe he was just hoping for far too much. Whatever it may have been he tries to blend in and become one with the rocks. "Think like a rock." he thinks to himself. "You must become the rock. You are the rock." He wonders if its working as he continues to stare.

Miserable could be one of the words used to describe the enclosing cavern, one that suffocated one of light. The air was warm, according the frigid mare, something that did not appeal to her at all. A frown masked velvety lips, the mare wandering aimlessly through these tunnels. Although most would be rejoicing at having found the safe haven, Valhalia was furious--enraged. For freaking out loud she was a warrior! It ran fiercely in her veins to get out of twisting tunnels and crush every last one of those spineless cowards. Silver orbs were lit with a loathing light, and the same thoughts of annihilating continued circulating in her mind until a falling mare broke all those thoughts.

Spontaneously, someone fell from the ceiling, tumbling on stone hard ground. If it were some equine filth, the tawny mare could care less, but this mare was crowned with a graceful horn. Rigid, with cold eyes Valhalia approached with lips tightened. The gray mare began waking up, looking around as if she were searching for someone. A miniscule smile formed as the petite body approached. Another crowned brother stood nearby, trying to blend in with the stony wall. A pale stallion, the shade of fine ivory with violet markings, he wasn't such an eyesore despite his strange behaviour.

Craning her head towards the startled stallion, a charming smile played upon velvet lips, beckoning him for friendship. "Hello", flirtatious vocals purred from her throat, yet the warrior bowed her head still in a signal of respect. Averting her face to the mare, stoic mask still planted her eyes showed minimal sympathy. "That was a rough fall...are you okay?", tsking slightly, silver orbs mischievously glanced at her. "Are you looking for someone? Perhaps other Basin members?" The question remained unanswered for the moment as the tawny mare continued watching the fellow unicorn lass and stallion.

@[Vadim] && @[Valhalia] sorry for the ridiculous waaait! <333

Voices pang against her sensitive ears and the wind howls at her back, swirling and hissing at the hole where you can see the snows raging. She looks out into the darkness, it’s getting dark outside and still the cave seems to glow; illuminated in a fiery yellow light, like candles. Tangere turns back to the moving masses she sees the stallion beside her… He’s stiff and avoiding her mocha eyes while they search his horned face. The twinge of a grin plays at her lips and she pushes a whicker through her flared nostrils. She reaches for him, as if she’s going to touch his still shoulder but she doesn’t. She draws away from him when another voice chimes toward them. Her smile fades and she fixes her posture, raising her head and ears to greet the stranger with an inquisitive expression.

Uh,” She looks over herself and lifts her eyes back to the mare. “Yup.” She chuckles to herself.. “I’m fine but,” She looks at the stallion who seems to be pretending he isn’t visible. “I think I may have done…something…to him.” Her eyes dart from east to west…“Unless he’s just been doing this, like, forever.” She’s tempted to poke him with her soft muzzle, but instead she simply gazes, flitting her long lashes over her dark chocolate eyes. “Uhm.” She ponders for a moment, finding that she has forgotten about looking for anyone once she saw the statue-man and had been asked of her fairing after a fall. She decides to keep her intimate thoughts to herself and shakes her head slowly. “No. I am not looking for anyone.” She wonders if the girl is a Basin member herself – smell used to be the key to knowing where someone hailed from…smell has gone away though, in the caves.

We smell like each other, humidity and stone.

The cave has grown swollen with bodies – her hallways are pregnant with travelers and her rooms mostly full of chatter about what is going on outside. Tangere has not yet had time to gather much information…nothing more than talk of Gaucho’s efforts to form an Army to march on the evil engulfing the outside world.

The ivory stallion continues to quizzically stare, as if he faded in with the rock. Containing a fit of mocking laughter, Valhalia twisted her head away from the strange lad, only focusing on the mare before her. Mocha eyes were averted to the strange lad, same as the tawny mare, and it almost seemed as if she was going to reach out to him, prod the stallion. But she didn't, only swiveling around to Valhalia's presence. Dazed in a bout of confusion, the crowned mare stuttered a lot, slowly treading on Valhalia's patience.

Of course, being one of her own kind, unlike disgusting equines, the tawny woman could deal with her ignorance, probably obliviousness of what was going on. "I guess he thinks he's the wall", velvet lips pulled into a smirk, the woman turned her head towards him. "Hey buddy, you know we can see you", her serious voice was tinged with a humorous tone. "He looks like a light in the darkness, of course we see you", effeminate chuckles rumbled out of her chest. Blinking, Valhalia let her gaze linger on the woman again. "Ah, for only moments I assumed you were from the Basin", stern once more, beautiful silver eyes betrayed her frigid exterior.

Feeling like this was a good time to introduce herself, feeling a space of silence, the tawny woman spoke. "My name's Valhalia...so, what brings you here to the caves from hell", laughing once more, Valhalia looked upon the ivory stallion again. "Come on buddy! You gonna talk or what?" A flirty voice cooed out to him, not over done though. He was a stud muffin despite his dumb actions. Batting her eyelashes subtly, the petite mare showed off a feminine physique. Maybe that would snap him out of his trance.
