Once the meeting broke up Parelia was careful to slip away, hopefully without being seen by the crazy ones. She snorted before glancing back at the fluffy white chick stride her bleeding back. "Hold on tight love we're going to get a good view of this place." She waited, but he did not respond besides cocking his head and clicking his beak in confusion. She sighed and couldn't help but be excited for the day they would be able to communicate easier. Instead she carefully unfurled her large cream and teal wings and pumped them a few times before Penna caught on and clutched tighter on her back. Flinching slightly at the renewed pain he caused she flapped her wings harder until she launched her slender painted body into the cold air. 'I wont be able to fly to long, for his sake.' The cremello mare thought as she rose above the clearing the herd had gathered in. Higher and higher she rose watching the ground spread before her slowly. She could easily pick out the edges of the land why the waterfalls here and there.

Slowly she allowed the chilly wind to lead her like a tour guide around the twisted and broken land that had once been her home. Sighing softly she watched the ground searching for a good spot to lower her body to think. Honey orbs fell silently onto a small dotting of trees, and she circled it lowering herself every second searching for the perfect open spot. She smiled lightly as she noticed a pond next to the trees that was frozen solid. She aimed carefully taking in account of how slippery the ice would be under hoof.

A foot above the ice the mare folded her beloved wings; as she landed she heard the ice crack softly, muted by the thin layer of snow the had blown onto it in patches. She stiffened extending her wings again ready to heavy herself, as well as the flightless chick on her back to safety. The gods were smiling down on her as the ice held under her feminine frame,. Letting out a breath she had not realized was being held she watched the vapor from her muzzle float away from her.

Mighty wings thrust against the crisp winter atmosphere, the hawk drifting elegantly with ease upon the updrafts through the puffs of moisture that dotted the skies. Unsure of what to think regarding the herd gathering, the battle-born found his self aloft above the others. Concern set in his mind for those that hailed from rebel anarchy groups called the Asylum. Unsure of how the leaders of these lands would take order, his faith in Midas was strong but he feared the darkness of his better half would shadow their kingdom. Their rude remarks, lack of empathy and justice within their drunken war-cry. It was disturbing, disgusting and very unwanted.

However, feeling he owed his life to Midas for pulling him from the blinding winter storm and sheltering him within the caves, he was here to live out his duty as a protector of his kingdom. To guide and defend our people, serve in justice, to be born of king and breed excellence into the community. There was no telling what lay in store for the realm of water-falls. It was just a matter of waiting, and watching the events unfold.

Golden eyes caught motion from down below, a Pegasus mare landing gently upon an ice cap. Upon her shoulders, a young bird flapping around to gain its balance, he had seen her at the meeting. Parelia was her name, if the silver stallion recalled it correctly. Retracting his wings for a moment, the silver stallion began to dive into the direction of the world, unfolding his wings as he neared the surface to catch the wind and elevate his hooves just above the mounds of snow. Golden hooves touched down upon a snowy ridge off to the mares left, flexing his wings upward as a friendly call erupted from his lungs.

"Good evening m’lady!" His voice warm and welcoming as he gazed down upon her, daring not to land upon the ice she stood so gently upon. His weight would add to it, and he feared causing her or her company any danger. He couldn’t help but notice she seemed troubled, her shoulders where her companion stood, ruffled and scratched. The downside to having claws dig in your withers one would suppose.
"Is everything alright dove?" She was lovely, streaks of blue glittering down her silk threads. It’s one thing he’s always admired, the ladies.

Unease had been a familiar feeling to the dappled stallion as of lately so it was no surprise that the same queasy feeling passed over him. Flicking his ears back with distaste he wished that the feeling would disappear all together. Closing his silver orbs for a fraction of a second he opened them to the meeting coming to a close at last. Normally his attention would be enough to get him through such an event but lately his mind was rather preoccupied with all the other concerns that had surfaced. At times he felt like willingly smashing his head into stone to try and silence the memories running around aimlessly without answers. The caves had done things to many of them, some which could not easily be forgotten or cured.

It was within this time when his heart had been torn in two, each side battling to come to a conclusion as to what was right and wrong. At the forefront of his mind stood the beautiful cream pegasus Parelia, she was the best thing that had presented itself within the last couple weeks. Their time had been cut rather short with the sudden race to get back to the surface but it was the best he had felt in a long time. It was scary to admit it to himself but he was falling madly in love with the fae, despite the other voice in his head telling him to stay away from her. The startling discovery of the true nature of his father had messed with his self esteem and confidence making him wary of who he was. There was the chance that the filthy blood of his rapist father could turn him into the very thing he despised.

Motion in the sky drew his focus to the figure of his Parelia flying off away from the rest of the herd. He knew the decision to come here was not one made lightly on her part but he was happy she had come with him. His feet lifted subconsciously as he felt drawn to his friend seeking her company. Meanwhile in his mind he had come to the decision he needed to come clean with her about what was plaguing him, she deserved to know what kind of monster he was. Fear touched down with the thought of the conversation ahead knowing damn well he could lose the very thing he cared most about, but he couldn't hide it from her anymore.

As Parelia's figure came into view his stomach did the flipping motion of excitement and joy he had come accustomed to each time he laid eyes upon her. It was a feeling like no other, something he never wanted to go away. His progress was halted as another pegasus dropped from the sky above to speak with the mare. Flicking his ears back in annoyance for a moment before he manged to curb his apparent jealously he once again collected himself before continuing his path to be with Parelia and the other stallion.

Trying his best to remain impassive to the comment made by the other despite the flare of jealously he nickered softly in greeting before stopping near the pair. He wanted to march right over to Parelia and nuzzle her affectionately but contained himself knowing it was the jealous energy talking. He would be good and polite, he told himself silently. Other than the greeting he was unsure of what else to say that wouldn't make things awkward, so he chose to stay silent casting his eyes over the two before him. As his eyes fell to those of the mare he couldn't help the gentle smile that touched his lips.

She stood still on the cracked ice taking in the snowy world around the pair of them. Turning her chiseled face to look at the bonded on her back she smiled softly to see his deep black eyes gazing back into her own honey orbs. She knew he was chilly, but there wasn't much that could really be done for him, not in this weather anyway. Lifting her muzzle to the fluffy chick she blew on him carefully trying to at least warm his scaly yellow feet. As she in hailed again a scent came on the wind to her. She turned towards the sound of flapping wings and the scent of a stallion. if she had been a wolf her hair would have been on end a snarl on her lips; instead she pricked her ears before flipping them back slightly. The silver and gold winged Pegasus seemed normal enough, but you could never tell with the really crazy ones.

She watched him weary as he dove towards her and the frozen ground. She hopped suddenly that he would not attempt to land on the ice beside her. Stiffening her wings out beside her she awaited his approach. As he touched down he let out a warm call and she nickered back softly, surely crazy horses didn't call out so politely. he was taller than her, but not as large as some of the others she had met here. Her mind wondered to Ciceron as she took in his grey coat and his gentle voice. 'Dove?' She thought with a vague smile. The cremello painted mare's warm bell voice swam towards him cautiously, "I've been better, I'm just not so sure about..." she paused not wanting to come out and say here misgivings about their herd. "some things."

Her attention had been so divided she did not notice her handsome stallion wondering towards them until he nickered a greeting. At once her dainty dished head flew up and to the right searching for the voice she had learned so well. Excitement made her heart to somersaults. She melted as he smiled; waiting for his deep voice to stroke her ears. His silence unnerved her and she turned anxious honey orbs towards Hawkeye before clearing her throat softly. She felt a little guilty, even though she had no idea why, and unsure of what to do next, even though she longed to throw herself at the handsome unicorn before her. She couldn't hold herself back any long and stepped lightly towards Ciceron her legs trembling slightly with the effort of soft steps. As she neared the edge of the ice on of her cream hooves plunged into the ice, but she hardly noticed. Smiling softly up at the dappled stud she eased up closer to him and pressed her slim muzzle to his much larger one. It was so good to see him, even if it was his fault she was stuck with these crazy people.

Parelia's feminine voice was warmer now that her heart was with her again, "You're name is Hawkeye, correct?" She dipped her head at his reply before continuing, "I am Parelia, and this is Ciceron. We both used to live here before the darkness came." her voice lowered slightly at the last few words. She spoke again turning from Hawkeye to Ciceron smiling brightly she had someone else for the two stallions to meet, and he was growing impatient. She turned her to the right so both of the males could see the fuzzy white chick on her back. She suddenly realized how badly her back needed attention. Penna's claws as well as the flesh below them were red and damp, as scarlet blood slowly welled up. Ignoring the liquid and pain she spoke warmly her eyes on the chick, "This is my companion, Penna. He is a Peregrine Falcon."

The guardian gazed down upon the glittering mare as she stood over ice. Admiring her beauty, he listened to her soft voice as it carried upon the breeze to his silver lobes. But before he could reply, or advance any closer to the banshee, another emerged from the mist of darkness. Obsidian in hue, a unicorn bravely advanced toward the mare; amused I watched as they had their rather emotional reunion. He wasn’t sure why she chooses to stand upon dangerous ice, but he wanted nothing more to do with that looming cloud of danger. Although he was ready to take action should the duo need his assistance, the sound of her hooves cracking and grinding upon the rough cold edges of the slick made him shudder in anticipation for the worst.

Golden eyes glint against the moon light as I nodded to the unicorn kin as they were reunited the silver stallion had thought about turning away and letting them be, but before a hoof moved upon the snow bank the mare called to me, questing her correct authority of his name. He turned to gaze at her with a warm smile and gave a hearty nod but said nothing. He had seen her at the herd meeting, but didn’t recall the unicorn. Leaping down from the snow bank with a heavy thud upon the earth he gently advanced closer the banks of the shore. Parelia and Ciceron were probably heavy enough on the ice as it was, so he kept a kind distance and continued to listen to her introduction.

"Well met." Cranium twisted as he lowered his ink dipped lips to the surface of the ice, as if to test its sturdiness he pressed against it. A concerned smile creased his maw as he elevated his head and questioned the duo. "Perhaps, a conversation off of the Ice would be better?" He hinted in concern to the sound of the shifting ice. Should one of them break it enough, there was no telling how deep it was, or how easy it would be to save them from going under.

Watching the other stallion from the corner of his eye he was pleased to hear the soft footfalls of his angel making her way forward. Turning his gaze to meet hers at last he felt a little bit of comfort enter the situation quelling his vast jealousy that had made him feel almost paranoid. Reaching out to Parelia he affectionately returned her gesture holding himself back from throwing the other stallion a smug look that clearly said back off dude, she is mine. Instead he turned himself so that he was parallel beside Parelia so that they could continue their conversation. His face gave away nothing of his real feelings towards the stallion he now knew was Hawkeye by the introduction.

Tipping his head towards him in greeting to his fellow herd brother as his name was mentioned his eyes flickered to Parelia once again. Only it was not her beauty that caught his attention as per usual it was the rather shaky appearance of her body. Concern rippled through him making him want to bring up the topic immediately but given the presence of the other he held back. Was there something wrong? Why was she shaking like this? His memory flicked back to the last couple weeks and the rather emotional day they had shared. He could only hope that the information he had shared was not the cause of her current state. Ice slowly crept into his veins at the thought, please let him be wrong and simply overthinking things as per usual.

The other's unfamiliar voice caught him off guard bringing his attention back to the present. Off the ice? What? As his gaze fell he clued in to what Hawkeye meant by off the ice. "I quite agree, lets move over to ground a little more stable." He replied gently nudging Parelia's shoulder hoping to encourage her to move off the ice. Stilling his own movements to limit the chance of the ice cracking underneath them he tried to not let the concern trail into his voice without much success.

Seemingly unaware of the danger she was in Parelia spoke once more introducing a small bird perched a top of her back. Her egg, it must have hatched as well! A smile drew across his lips as he gazed down at the little falcon with curiosity. It was amazing the creatures that lay within the eggs where did they ever come from? Red raw skin adorning the portion of Parelia's back beneath where the creature sat caused him to set his ears back slightly horrified by the damage. Something would have to be done about this but right now he needed them both on safe ground. Hidden beneath the thickness of his mane he felt Kiara turn around wanting to know what was going on but keeping herself hidden. Her emotions were becoming a little easier to read but everything was still blurred at the best of times. He assumed that with time things would be easier for them to communicate but until then he could only guess at what she was thinking.
