Amira nickered wishes she knew where all the horses were. She wanted a herd badly, for being lonely all the time had token over her. "I wish I knew where a herd was." She nickered again and pricked her harks to listen to a reply. When she got know answer she walked on until she came to the World's Edge, where the ocean met land. She reared and snorted. She landed and laid down. The view was amazing. "I'll just stay here til tomorrow then I'll keep looking tomorrow for a herd to join." She laid her head down and closed her eyes.

*NEXT DAY*

Amira snorted and opened her eyes. She looked around. "Morning is already here?" She stood up and went back to the forest and took a drink from a small river. She reared and let out a neigh hoping that some one would answer that. She landed and waited for some horse to come.

The mare was feeling better, her health was much better and she decided to take a walk. She was wandering in the forest when she heard a neigh. The mare trotted over. A black mare was standing by the river. She looked at the black mare's slightly dished face. The mare

"Hello there, my name is Leyra, what is yours?"The mare's lips quivered. She looked at the stranger. The mare walked closer to the mare.

The mare waited for the equine stranger to answer her question. The mare felt the cold wind ruffle her mane. She shook her head. The mare didn't love cold weather, but she didn't hate it either. The mare loved the crisp and frosty crunch of the snow under her hooves, she also loved the way the water froze over, but cracked like ice.

The mare looked back at the stranger, still waiting the black equine to reply to her question.

Amira snorted and then looked up to see another mare. She looked over the beautiful coat and smiled. She had never really seen other horses but her mother and farther. She smiled at the mare and looked behind her to see if she brought others. None. She looked back to the mare.

“Hello Leyra. My name is Amira.” Her kissers spoke with gentleness. She watched as the mare walked closer to her slinder body of black.

Amira felt the cold rush through the woods and hit against the two equine bodies. Amira didn’t like winter at all and never did. She was a autumn horse, not a winter one at all. She snorted and pawed at the ground with a bit of madness. “Winter can’t come yet, Autumn hasn’t been long enough. Well, for me, at least.” Amira watched at the trees blew with the whistling wind and the rabbits and squirrels ran along the ground looking for some food for the winter.

Amira looked back at the black and white mare. She admired this mare but didn’t know why. Amira smiled and looked her straight in the eyes. She felt like bowing to the mare but didn’t because it might seem a little weird to her.

The mare nodded her head. Her deep blue eyes scanned the mare's dark body.

She then looked back at the stream beside them. The water trickled over the rocks, and then regrouping and continuing it's way. The mare looked at the autumn trees. Their leaves fluttering to the ground, landing softly.

The mare sniffed the air. The sweet autumn scent drifted within her nose. She breathed in, never wanting to breathe out the beautiful calming scent. The mare looked up between the trees, the rays of sun gleamed onto her black coat, heating it up, warming her body.

The mare looked at Amira, as the mare called herself. "It's nice to meet you, Amira. I cannot offer you a place at the Edge."The mare's tone was saddened. The equine mare looked friendly, and she wanted stay and chat with this mare, but she had to return to her herd before dark, it was currently noon, but it took the mare an hour to get back to the herd.

The Doctor swooped down from his favourite cliffs and bolted into the trees, leaving churned up grass and dust behind. Surprising himself with the sudden urge of youthful energy. Maybe it was the chill in the air, who knows? He slowed his powerful surges into a quick bouncy trot and altered his course to chase after the new scents. Both smells he did not recognize, there were those in the herd d'Artagnan had not met yet but still... He couldn't help thinking it might be someone intruding. Hair flicked back and forth atop his well toned neck, the odd strand going astray and landing awkwardly on his lobes. Mismatched eyes intent.

d'Artagnan burst into the clearing and immediately drank in the scene before him. One unicorn. One equine. The unicorn could easily be one he hadn't met before but the equine... He laid back his ears in disgust that one would dare venture into the Edge lands. Undefended as well. Marching past the unicorn, only throwing a distracted nod her way, d'Artagnan stood looking at the pitifully small equine. "What's a little girl like you doing on Edge territory?"

The Doctor didn't even bother to hide his contempt, tail thrashing in annoyance. Why do they come here? I'm only going to have to escort her out he groaned inwardly. Mauja wouldn't approve of him killing randomly, even if it was an unknown equine. He spared a glance to the unicorn mare, curiously assessing her. "And you. Have you been accepted as part of our herd?"

She had spots too, like their King. But this femme was considerably younger and d'Artagnan decided she would be quite impressionable. He smiled a half smile at her and returned to the intruder. Disapproval lacing his face.

Amira looked at the mare and waited for the respond she would be given.

Amira saw that the leaves fall from the Autumn trees. She stomped her hoof and flicked her tail in sadness. She looked to the mare. She, also, was looking around watching the scene. She smiled, she thought this one was pretty nice.

The mare chuckled and nipped softly. Amira wanted to play while autumn was still in the air. She ran into the stream splashing the black and white mare. Amira threw her head up in the air and reared. Yes, she was young and playful, though she wasn't fond to the ugly ones who thought where all that and powerful.

Amira heard the words of the mare and then stopped. She walked back to the front of the mare. "It was also nice to meet you." She smiled and nodded to the mare. She walked up to the mare and nudged her. Amira backed up and smiled at her. "Better get going. I'll find a cave or something to stay in." She looked at her and then let a slight smile come across her kissers.

The mare soon reared as a unicorn stallion came up to her in a not-so-friendly way. She landed and snorted at the stallion. "Oh, well, look who just showed up. A spoiled one." She snorted and pawed the ground. "Don't underestimate me." She growled at the stallion. She knew this one was trouble.

Amira looked over to Leyra. "You brought a friend hm?" She looked back to the stallion that was smiling at her. She cocked her head at the way he looked at her. She snorted at him. She looked him in the eyes. She looked away over to the mare. "His name?" She asked Leyra, thinking she knew about the stallion since he was her own kind. Amira turned and looked back to the stallion. She watched him carefully in case he made his move on her.

The mare stomped her hoof. How dare this bastard of a stallion ruin their nice day! The mare glared at the horned stallion. Her eyes were sharp, she was giving him a good hard and evil stare.

"What kind of horse are you?! Questioning your own herd mate?! And can't you be nice to the newcomer?! Who cares that she was on our land! I've been beside her almost the entire time and you think I haven't watched her?! She hasn't done anything to harm us or the herd! Besides, what rights do you have to eavesdrop on us. Or did you follow me?! You're gonna have to go through me before you can get to her, mister! And just so you know, Mauja himself took me to this herd! So what right do you have to question me?!! "The mare's voice was raised and booming. With every word the mare stepped closer to the stallion, her hooves stomped and her nostrils flared. Her eye were narrowed and her ears were laid flat on the back of her head, she had moved close enough to the stallion so that her horn was at his throat. The mare was angered and not afraid to attack a herd mate. She was angered that the stallion had either been eavesdropping or had followed her to Amira's location.

The mare was angered, her nostrils flared, her heart was burning up. Anger was on a thread, barking and snapping it's sharpened teeth at the mare's kindness, which was shrinking away, becoming smaller and smaller.

K O U
Softly she comes
Whispers the breeze with her passing
In secret love she is laughing

Being d'Artagnan's ever loyal nurse, Kou was not far behind her doctor as he traveled through the forest. Her ears rotated atop her head as she listened to voices, namely d'Art's as he spoke to someone. The next voice she heard was none too pleasant and left the usually happy mare with a bad taste in her mouth. She wasted no time in stepping from the cover of the trees and into the scene of a mare threatening her doctor. Her doctor. "Calm yourself." She said to the mare that had started shouting. "You cannot expect us to know every new member that gets accepted into our herd." Her voice was calm despite the anger that was coursing through her.

She took her position by d'Artagnan's side and stared at the new mare. "I suggest you watch your tone and control your temper when speaking to the King's doctor." She finally said, a small smile gracing her lips. "The King would be most displeased to hear of your complete disrespect for a herd member of a higher ranking than your own."

ooc:// teehee, Kou always follows d'Art around xD

         ULRIK

You better learn to keep your face under the dark

Wake up and feel the blood escape your heart

Ulrik, a massive statue of wickedness strode thickly into the fray, ears pinned against his skull. Two, cruel horns spiraled from his brow, and he jutted them toward the sky menacingly with a toss of his bearded head. The stallion with the bronze, tribal markings stood beside d'Art, a doctor he found to be just as delightfully mad as himself.

The metallic wolf machine which he created moved at his heels, and the stallion observed those around him. Two unicorns, one familiar and one not. And an equine. Bronze eyes bored into the black, hornless mare with malice, and he bared his ivory teeth after parting black, velvet lips.

"You, hornless mare," he growled in a guttural, deep voice. "You defile this place with your impure blood. Leave." The stallion's voice left no room for disobedience, and he moved toward her, dual horns pointed at her tender flesh.

Soulless and empty, the metallic wolf ran at Amira, silvery jaws open and glowing red eyes bare. It snapped wicked teeth with a sharp clink of metal, and the gears that ran the joints whirred and purred with seeming excitement. "Make me tell you again, and you will leave with scars!" Ulrik suddenly bellowed, his voice shaking the leaves of the trees around him. Bronze eyes blazed with dark anger.

Fuck me! What the hell was Mauja thinking?!

d'Artagnan couldn't believe his ears. Not only was there an equine who was being far too clever for her own good, but here was one of his own race protecting her?! The Doctor laid back his ears in utter distaste as he listened to the femme's tirade, his annoyed face turning into one of sheer anger. As usual, he didn't even bother to hide his emotions... Not that it was possible anyway, d'Artagnan always struggled hiding his madness. The mare carried on and neared the end of her heated speech with the red steed's blood well and truly boiled to its max. Does this silly little child even know who she is talking to?! Eyes laid harshly into the youth and an angered maw was just about to open when a familiar voice interrupted them. He was that lost in his own anger that d'Artagnan hadn't heard or scented his ever faithful Nurse coming.

Kou was more tactful than her Doctor could ever be. The pale arab's vocals were calm and meant to control the situation. Not that d'Artagnan disapproved of sorting something out calmly, the fact was it just wasn't doable after he had been insulted as such. In fact, it wasn't really in the red's make up to do anything calmly, the Doctor preferred to watch others do the 'sensible' things. Still, d'Artagnan was rather glad for her presence beside him. That meant he couldn't go completely mad and loose all his senses. It would of been worse if she wasn't around at the time. He smiled warmly at her, dipped his head then gruffly said his greeting, "Kou."

Even after Kou had finished d'Artagnan still didn't manage to get a word in as Ulrik pulled in with one of his weird mechanical contraptions. This one looked like a wolf. The Doctor liked the tribal patterned Ulrik, they shared similar thought patterns and boiling points. The same raging madness which d'Art thought was an admirable trait. Many disagreed. The engineer delivered delightfully cold threats at the equine mare to which d'Artagnan turned and nodded to him in approval. Proud of his herd mate. "Ulrik."

Now d'Artagnan could finally address the pair before him. Just looking at the equine was enough to make him sneer and the sheer fact that this infuriating new mare had defended her. Venom boiled up into the words behind his sooty lips and he narrowed his eyes at them both. "I'd do as he says equine vermin. Ulrik isn't one you anger and get away with it..." A malicious half smile followed as he wondered what she would do, poorly out numbered the equine femme was. Satisfied, he turned to his new 'herd mate'.

"And you. Silly little girl. The herd of the Worlds Edge does not except any other creature other than those with a horn and only a horn on this land. Equine filth like her are not allowed on our land let alone be greeted on friendly terms?! Be careful who you threaten girl or the next nap you take I'll make sure you wont wake up from..."

He left his own threat hanging there. d'Artagnan didn't need his horn to kill, not when he was blessed with the knowledge of poison from the divine Earth himself. No, it took only something subtle for the Doctor to get rid of his enemies. Ironically his way of killing was more secret and unknowing than the ways of his sister. A fact that d'Artagnan revelled in daily although he'd never rub it in Seiren's face. Not if he had a death wish that is.
