Escaping had not been on the feline's list of things to do but she needed to do something before things were irrevocably damaged or someone lost their life. Pausing only for a moment to clean herself off from the stench of smoke and singed hair she couldn't help fuss over the few patches of short hair she had received no thanks to her reckless broken hearted bonded. She loved the stallion like a mother she never had but she had to admit he was careless when his emotions turned from good to bad. Many attempts had been made to attempt to console the grey but no matter what she tried it was of no use, he was far too stubborn to listen to reason. The only thing that might help is if she could figure out a way to bring back his happiness, which would be easier said than done.

Slinking through the tall grass as quietly as possible the striped feline approached the borders of where the mare's scent had led her. This was proving to be problematic, she had seen the fuss that some made over crossing invisible lines and she really didn't want to start anything. Ciceron would already be mad enough at her for leaving without telling him, she could only hope that he had yet to notice with the current distractions going on over there. She knew he was capable of taking care of himself but she was more than worried about him in the current state, he had nearly fried himself for gods sake without so much as flinching. Shaking her head she picked up the pace sticking to the Edge's borders, she needed to find Penna, he was close to her mate's love maybe he could help.

A growl rumbled from her chest hoping to catch the birds attention if he was nearby as she kept low to the ground and hidden within the grass as she trotted along. Where was the featherhead she thought silently to herself mildly amused by the nickname she had given him awhile ago. She wouldn't openly say the name but the first impression she had gotten from meeting him was that of a bouncing feather toy. He was a friend now but back then she didn't know what to make of the bird, well hopefully he would consider her a friend. She really did not want to have to catch the falcon and force him to talk to her, tho it would be kinda fun to finally catch him.

(All from Penna's point of view, he will not be speaking, just thinking)

The falcon was at his wits end he was tired of his bonded crying when she thought no one was watching and just being in a terrible mood. Penna felt just as rotten as the cremello mare did which meant he really did have to try and find that cat. There wasn't anything left to do but try to explain to Kiara Ciceron's companion that they had to get their bonded back together. He had left his bonded kind of trying to hint that he was going out to hunt and nothing more, but now he was quite a while from home searching for the white cat. This was going to be impossible, or next to it anyway. The striped bird was close to a meadow now when a very tantalizing scent wiggled up through the air, barn swallow.

The Peregrine falcon is known for it's amazing speed when it dives, and now was the time to use his natural abilities. Bright black eyes gazed around slowly searching for his prey. Once it was in sight he flew carefully over it, avoiding allowing his shadow to fall over it. Once he was aligned perfectly he folded his slick, still slightly fuzzy wings, and dove. he was upon the bird before it knew what was happening. The impact knocked the air from the prey's lungs. Penna finished it quickly, let it drove and dove after again reaching the ground before it.

After devouring his meal the bird took flight again. He was sure he would have to go all the way to the falls to find the striped cat, but a soft growling made him hoover where he was. The white and black cat was moving low and fast, he screeched to get her attention. He thought about landing before her, but decided better of it and hoovered just out of her reach, hopefully. Now what? He thought silently.

Padding along through the grass was beginning to get boring to the feline, couldn't the bird just show up already. Grumbling to herself she wanted nothing more than to stop this..this.. whatever it was between the painted bitch who left and her bonded. Somehow he could not just forget about her and move on, no he was pining for her and refusing to admit it. Instead of sulking around like someone normal he seemed to be out just begging to get himself into trouble just to deal with the pain. Maybe he could deal with the physical pain to subdue his mental anguish but she definitely had an opposition to getting fried to a crisp. It wasn't as if she could just let him go off on his own, not with his mind being so preoccupied. He was the closest thing that she had to family and she would protect him with her life but it was killing her to feel his emotions ripping through her own heart. If bringing back the paint and the stubby one was the only way to make him happy, that was what she was going to do one way or another. Now where was that little annoying falcon.

Cringing slightly as a screech sounded from behind her she stopped in her tracks turning her head so her eyes locked onto the falcon hovering midair a little ways off. She had forgotten how loud that sound was to her sensitive ears couldn't a softer sound do just as well? Here she was trying to not get anyone to notice her and Penna swoops in and calls out to the world, geeze what was it with birds she thought shaking her head. Getting an idea to pay him back she lowered herself into the grass just enough so that she was out of sight from anything above. Remaining still for a number of moments she finally started moving towards the falcon slowly keeping herself concealed in the long grasses of the meadow. When she was satisfied with her position behind the bird she counted to three before launching herself up into the air attempting to gently grab the bird in her mouth before her feet touched back down. Since she had last seen the featherhead she had much improved her hunting and stalking skills and could now launch herself quite high into the air. This wouldn't be the first time she had plucked a bird from the sky, but it would be the first time she would do it without injuring the creature.

The falcon was not concerned about others in the area, because he had been high enough to see that there wasn't anyone around them. He flapped above the tiger watching her curiously, as her body tensed, it was very clear to him that something had hurt her. He thought briefly it might have been his call, but he shook the thought off laughing inwardly. He hadn't been that loud, but maybe, just maybe her hearing was better than his own. He glanced down at the cat then around slowly double checking someone hadn't bee hidden from his view. Once he was sure they were alone, he turned back to the cat, or where she had been. Panic filled his body maybe she wasn't really the right cat, maybe there was more than one white tiger in this land? He was just about to launch higher into the air when massive paws flashed out and grabbed him, they were light and careful not to harm him. Even so, he felt a few feathers being pulled out or broken. He squawked indignantly as the cat landed with him between her paws.

As soon as he caught his breath he lashed out with his sharp beak. Stupid feline! He would teach her not to play with him, no matter how bad her prey drive was, he was not to be caught! She squealed as loud as he could as he slashed and peaked at her paws. His sharp claws trying to cut, but not to deeply. He finally made himself calm down and shut up. This was not the time to fight or be angry, he had to get to to the vicious kitty that their bonded horses had to get back together.

Midair she felt her paws make contact with the feathered bird as she tried to curl her paw around him as gently as possible. Much easier said than done really considering she was not normally trying to leave the creature of her capture in one piece. Flipping herself around gracefully so that she would land properly on her feet she used her paw to cushion the birds fall so not to have him smoosh on the ground. The feeling of a successful capture was beyond enthralling to the feline even if she didn't get to eat her prize.

Her thoughts were momentarily darkened as another flash of agony waved over her causing her to stumble sideways away from the falcon. A growl rang from her chest at the pained thoughts and feelings pierced into her bonded thus allowing her to feel it. Shaking her head to clear her sight she straightened herself out only to feel tiny abrasions along the one side of her left paw. Turning her piercing blue gaze on Penna she growled her displeasure half tempted to pin the bird to the ground dare he try that again. Her gaze caught a couple lone feathers laying on the ground but she paid little attention. He better be damn grateful that was all he lost, but if he insisted she could easily repeat the process to see what else she could maim.

No, she cannot harm the pest her grey had told her this, but why was it so important now anyway she thought darkly. Regardless of the reason she had vowed to keep her word and she would not break that.

Ok, step one had been successful now what? The striped feline had formulated a plan but she hadn't exactly figured out how to talk to the peckerhead. Apparently she had two nicknames for the little thing now, huh that was interesting she thought silently with mild amusement. Somehow she needed to convince him to make the evil paint go back to her grey before he wound up getting himself killed. The mild burns she had suffered along her legs and side had been way too close for comfort considering those on her bonded were much worse. She had hated leaving him for this period of time as she had absolutely no idea what stupid thing he would do next. If she was lucky the burns would keep him busy for awhile so that she could get back to attempt to stop the next act of stupidity.

Lifting her right paw with extended claws she moved it towards the bird to get his attention before pointing it in the relative direction of the falcon's bonded. Pausing for a second to let the birds tiny brain comprehend what she was trying to relay she then moved the same paw towards where the Hidden Falls resided. Being a feline she could not help but believe that all birds had tiny pea sized brains and could not compare to that of her own species. It was beyond her knowledge but apparently felines were the superior species, maybe a slight superiority complex but she could only say what her instincts told her.

The falcon was still angry at being white striped cat, but it was suddenly exchanged for the deep throbbing pain from Parelia. How was it his fly partner could still hurt so badly over a unicorn and the chose a heard over his mate and new born foal. Either way his soul mate was dying inside and he had to try his hardest to help her, fix what she apparently couldn't.

After the cat turned her sapphires on him he felt bad for being so rough after she had clearly tried to be gentle with him. He fluffed up his wings shaking his still downy feathers before hopping forward. Carefully extending his beak he opened it slowly reaching for her white and black fur. If she would allow it the falcon would preen a small spot on her powerful chest in an attempt to make up for his anger.

Once he was done, he couldn't figure out how he was going to make her understand. A thought hit him like the scent of prey after a few long unsuccessful hunting trips. Why in the world was she here anyway? Was the grey stud around somewhere, no he would have seen such a large target moving around when he had been flying.

The moving claw drew his sharp eyes towards the kitty's face, before she waved it away. He intelligent black eyes followed her movement, it was towards home. Did she mean something about Parelia? Then the cat gestured towards his old home, the Hidden Falls; Ciceron. Penna hopped from one foot to the other excitement coursing through him. maybe she wanted what he was trying to do. Opening his wings he pointed one towards the falls the other towards the edge before folding his wings in front of him. He was careful to move slowly so her kitty brain could put two and two together. He allowed the very tips of his wings to touch his onyx eyes glued on her sapphires.

After what seemed like an eternity the peckerhead seemed to finally come to reason and drop the attempt at big and scary. Like really she had seen scarier looking chickens when she had been out and about. She could never understand how something went from a pom pom peepy thing to some creepy dino bird thing and then into the plump juicy chicken. That weird middle stage was just plain weird and totally uncalled for unless it was some joke made for halloween. She guessed that with every perfect species such as her own their creator was bound to screw up many on the way to perfection.

Her eyes darted to Penna moving once more only this time much slower. What was it trying to do? Eat her or something? Tilting her head to the side she lifted a eyebrow wondering what on earth the falcon was trying to accomplish. Remaining perfectly still she waited for whatever was to come next. After what felt like an animal attempting to scratch a flea she watched the bird pull back as she moved her powerful paw towards it to relay her thought.

Half chuckling to herself in amusement her cat eyes focused on whatever the bird was doing now. Bouncing from foot to foot she wondered if this was some sort of attempt to process what she had clearly stated through her motions. As its wings opened she watched as what appeared to be her instructions relayed back to her in a much more spastic yet slower kind of way. Really? Did she look like she had no idea what she had just tried to say? Either the peckerhead had a very short term memory or just a very drawn out way of understanding something so simple. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes she dropped down so she was now laying in the grass with the temptation to play around with the bird once more.

Ok so they seemed to agree that their bonded needed to be brought back together but accomplishing this was going to be the hardest part. Perhaps some incident could bring them together again... that might work but that would mean she would have to do something effecting both herds. Lets skip that thought for a second, what if maybe the witch thought something happened to the bird and her grey be lured to some meeting place? That might work. Reaching out with one paw she swiped a small patch of dirt clear of footprints to use to create some type of image maybe a map. Awkwardly making two points at opposite ends she motioned briefly to each of their homes as she drew the mark with her claw.

Pausing for a moment to let the gestures sink in she half expected to see more bouncing. Getting ancy she continued pawing over one of the feathers she had accidently pulled out from Penna before turning her head down to the burn marks upon her body. Pulling loose more of the hair she dropped it in a small pile by bird boy. Picking up the feather in her teeth she jumped up and walked a few steps towards the Edge to display her bringing the feather to the painted mare. Turning back she motioned to her hair pushing it closer to the bird before pointing with her paw towards the Hidden Falls hoping that Penna would catch on to her idea. Turning back to her diagram she used her claw to sketch a very rough X into the area in between the lands to refer to the meeting point. It was actually difficult to draw straight lines with her curved pointed nails, oh well it would do.

Lifting her eyes back to the falcon she dropped herself back down into the grass watching to see how the bird would take this. Unless it could think of something easier to do this was one of their only options.

Penna watched the cat carefully interested in what she was thinking, but without Ciceron there was no way he would be able to know exactly what was going on in her mind. He sighed this would have never happened if the steel stallion hadn't been so stupid and had stuck with his mate and son. If he had done that they would all be one big happy family and everyone would be just fine. The falcon clicked his beak together in mild agitation that the only ones smart enough to realize what needed to happen were himself and that dumb fuzzy cat. He thought about what they could do to help their bonded when Kiara flopped down he watched her intently, maybe she wasn't so dumb after all.

The striped kitty was swiping and clawing at the ground, and cursing his ungraceful ground movements, he hopped forward. He was sure he looked like a fat stupid lazy Crow bouncing towards the cat. As he neared the falcon lowered his sharp head to see what she was doing. It took a moment of mild confusion for him to realize she was drawing out her plan. He nodded slowly when she paused, trying to be as dignified as birdly possible while hopping around. Sharp black eyes watched the cat and he noticed for the first time the nasty burn marks along her body. What had happened? Was Ciceron has badly, if not hurt worse? Parelia couldn't stay made at her knight if she saw he was hurt, maybe it would be easier than he had first anticipated.

He watched her pluck snowy hair from her own ruffled pelt and watched, even though he was sure he already understood. He nodded again and waddled towards her. He gently extended his wing towards her, attempting to brush it along her strong cheek bone before turning to the hairs. He carefully picked them up and launched into the air. There was no time like the present to being their plans. He called quietly down to the kitty before flying towards the Hidden Falls to set the plan in motion.

A short while later:

The falcon had been true to his breeding and made it to the Hidden Falls very quickly indeed. This needed to be settled right now this was the end of all the pain and torture they were all going through. The bird circled high over head spotting horse after horse, but not the one he needed. Finally the sharp falcon eyes found the silver dappled stud, and he prepared himself for the made dash that was to ensue on the way back. Folding his sleek wings the falcon dived, like a missile he headed for the Earth. he was on a crash course or so an untrained eye would think. Right before he smacked into the stud he pulled up and hoovered inches from the stud's silver eyes. He hoped the male would notice the white hairs clamped in his sharp beak before he dropped them. He pumped his strong wings holding his lithe body in place, well mostly, before the stud before dropping the hairs. He screech trying to mimic fear as best he could before turning back to the meeting place and screeching again. He had to understand, how else would he have plucked the kitty if she was not hurt. Equines were so foolish to think their bonded were nothing more than mindless animals. Hoping the grey was behind him the falcon took off towards the meadow again praying this would all work out.

Kiara's Point Of View

As the feline watched the bird grab the hairs that she had pulled loose and take off she couldn't help but smirk at her cleverness. After all it was she who thought of the plan in the first place, surely the peckerhead wouldn't have been able to come up with something such as this. Looking down at the feathers laying by her paws she couldn't help but think that it would have been just as easy to snag a few feathers from another bird to do the same thing. It just so happened that some had been pulled in her little game of catch and release, unfortunate really since she could have gone for a little snack before carrying out their... no her plan. Laying in the shade for another couple of minutes she figured that she might as well give the bird some extra time considering the Falls was quite a bit further.

Watching the happenings of the Edge's border for another while she finally decided she had better move out to track down the winged mare, not like it was going to be hard or anything. Picking the damn feathers up might be the largest part of her challenge, she thought sarcastically as she pawed at the feathers to gather them into a smaller pile in the hopes she might be able to grab them with her teeth. Her teeth were so not made for this kinda thing, dammit she should have plucked larger feathers! Growling in frustration at this unforeseen obstacle she batted them around once more before finally grasping a couple. Now all she needed to do was find the stupid mare before she dropped the things. Springing forward she set off into the tall grass once more.

It took little time to find the creature but she still felt wary of her surroundings. This was a foreign land to her and she was likely not supposed to be trespassing, she needed to get in and out as fast as possible. Ducking her head she slowly moved downwind instinctively crouching low in the grass a few meters from the mare. Great now what? She couldn't exactly open her mouth as the feathers were just barely hanging there, ah forget it. Slinking forward at a average pace she managed a growl from within her chest hoping that the mare would not try and bash her head in thinking she was some attacker. Flashing her tail around she drew up as close as she dared holding her head up to show off the feathers. When she was sure the mare had seen her she turned on heel to pace a few steps in the direction she had come before stopping to look back with another growl. Only when she was sure that the mare would follow did she make a beeline towards the border and to their meeting place.

ooc: should we just make it that both just follow without posting for them?
