Lloyd stood silently just inside the Edge's forest, he could could just see the sheer drop off at the verge of the white cliffs from where he was standing. The morning sun's rays pierced through the holes in the canopy above, making his obsidian coat appear dappled. His ears flicked back and forth as he listened to the sounds around him; A bird landing on a branch and twittering away to itself, the wind swirling through the trees, rustling the leaves that would soon fall to the ground as the season went on.

Though he was quite happy, Lloyd couldn't help but feel almost lonely. He'd hardly talked to anyone in the herd and was friendless. Intent on changing that, he whinnied, calling out to anyone that was listening.

[ooc: this is just basically so Lloyd can meet some members of the herd]

( I'm so, so sorry this went unanswered for so long. :/ )

It was morning again, shadows pulling back as the autumn sun's rays drove the night - the Moon - back, away. Dew hung upon every bush and tree, sparkling softly in the pale light washing across the world. The fog was thick, thicker than in the day, swirling around his legs as he moved, little beads of water latching onto him and giving him too a shimmer, like a ghost. A wraith. How often had he not felt like he haunted his own home, when he at night glided through the trees, illuminated by the moon - sticking out like a sore thumb? If a hungry flock of predators came in, he'd be among their first prey. He could not hide. All he could do, was fight. Snorting, he kept moving, just wishing to find some Edge member and have a chat with. He liked to know his herd, and the fiasco with Kou... He could not be everywhere. Could not talk to everyone all the time. But he could try, at least.

So when Lloyd's call came, it was a bit of a relief. The black Percheron had been in the herd for a while, but had mostly kept to himself. Mauja's deep cry rolled out in response, and since he had no reason at all to drag his feet, he set off at a trot. He knew these paths, navigated the terrain with ease, and eventually he caught sight of the large black stallion. The drop off the Edge of the World lay masked in shimmering white at the horizon, but Mauja just smiled and let his gaze fall upon Lloyd. So far he had been loyal. "Lloyd!" he called out, warmly. Mauja's movements slowed to a walk as he went up to the stallion, reaching out to give his muzzle a friendly bump with his own. "So good to see you again. How have you been?" And the Ice King's eyes, they were warm.
angels, they fell first, but I'm still here
