Elsa
My head's underwater, but i'm breathing fine.
Through the musing and meanderings of someone who has too much time, Elsa began to wonder about those she had met in the caves. Granted, she hadn't met too many, but there had been enough that she wondered about them. One in particular was the snow hailing Beowulf. The poor creature was so sweet, and so caring, and she just wondered what on earth had happened to such a lovely one.

Then, she supposed, she should go somewhere cold! So the brilliant Elsa decided to trek alone to the Frostbreath Steppe. She traveled north, avoiding the Basin as she went. She had met the nicer general at the arch, and knew she did not want to wander there for fear of running into him again. So, she went north, even taking the precaution as the fly over to the peninsula. When she landed, she was greeted by a near barren landscape. Although in the heat of summer, there was just an occasional shrub, and a light dusting a snow. She snorted as her eyes scanned the area, looking for the large, fluffy beast named Beowulf.

"Beowulf? Are you out here?" She called out softly, trying to make out a hulking figure anywhere. Please be him and not another beast... She thought. Maybe she should've brought an escort along. As a cool breeze went by she shivered. Beowulf, you better get here soon if you are out there. Her blue and white eyes began desperately flinging around the landscape.

Just then a hawk flew overhead, screeching loudly. She yelped and jumped into the air. Damn Elsa, when did you become such a scaredy foal? She grumbled at herself, now, instead of being too brave, she was too flighty.

"Lonely? I don't know. They tell me this is cold. I don't know what cold is, because I don't freeze"

A distant familiar, tickled at fluffy coated satalites. A half shredding face poked up into the air. Though fluffy it still remained. The Beast thought nothing of it, just a distant song that echoed in the back of his mind. But another part of him told the Beast to call back. It burned stronger within him the more he ignored the sound.
"Mykah!" The Beast swung his bulking weight round; with some difficulty; almost tripping over his own legs. "Stop doing that! You know how it bothers me so" He snorted in her direction.
The small Lynx cub was bigger almost the same as full grown adult. But still she was young and learning. Mykah lay under the shade of some old twisted looking tree. The Leaves almost in full bloom, creating just enough shade for a regular sized dog. She opened one eye and looked right at her companion. Rolling her eyes the feline huffed with exasperation and went back to her midday snooze.
Beowulf just stood there and stared at Mykah for a brief second before rubbing his horns through the small-ish tree, causing a good few leaves to fall away. How could one little creature aggravate him so? Ever since they had become one, he had felt nothing but annoyance towards her, the older she had grown. If anything the lynx was of no help to him if all she did was sleep.

The Beast felt a pull towards the mountains. Only the odd few remained snow capped. Koor was fast approaching them. Though the heat seemed very bearable. Was it always like this? Or was the world becoming colder each year.
The hairy man made his way across a rocky, cliff passage. Not looking back for Mykah or even waiting for her, He knew she'd follow him, in her own time.
The pull to the mounts grew stronger the further he moved amongst the hidden pathways. The rocky tundra blended into itself, if you had not grown up in the mountains you wouldn't know where to look for hidden places.
Water trickled down the sides, as the heat of the sun melted away some of the lasting snow. The beast gently touched his nose to the fresh water, letting it trickle into his bottom lip.
Mykah rolled up behind him, slinking around in her own time. The lynx was not too happy about walking the mountains, bigger predator animals lay out there. Even watching them both right now. As much as she hated to admit it, but the cat was thankful for her companion's size and to have him. Nothing would attack if they stuck together. His size was all to much for a sleepy mountain lion.

The mountain path started to incline, heading further up into the very tops of the range. Soon he would be looking down across the whole land, a view which the Beast admired a lot. The wind grew stronger the higher they went, snow whirled around the place. His eye's adjusted easily to the bright whiteness reflecting off the snow. A shadowy figure lingered in the distance. The pull towards them burned strongly inside of him. He paused at the very top, Mykah at his side, sharing a glance between each other, then headed on-wards, towards this shadow-y figure.

Elsa
My head's underwater, but i'm breathing fine.
Dark and shadowy figures danced around her eyesight. They bounded too a fro, begging her to follow, and to pull her under with them. She reared again, as one seemed to dash in front of her. Crystal eyes shot to the sky, only to find the shadow had belonged to the same hawk.

It watched ever so closely from the sky, its yellow eyes piercing into her. It waited- almost like he knew she was doomed to some unfortunate death up here. She couldn’t blame him though; she was nearly walking into the heart of beast land. It was worth the risk though; the man she was seeking out had been the only one to call her angel right off the bat. The comment was something Elsa would never forget, and would be always grateful for.

The hawk circled about again at the top of the steppe, before screeching out again and diving down the side. Elsa watched carefully, following the figures decent until it melted behind another shadowy figure. It was approaching from the base of the steppe, coming up the side. It had the same build as- oh god.

Elsa took a few cautious steps backward, reeling on what to do. What if Krieger frequented here? What would he do again? Would he attack? All these questions just melded together into one confused ball. Her mouth gaped, trying to grasp what to say or what to do.

Moments passed as the figure drew nearer. All she could do was squeak out a pitiful, quiet noise. As it moved closer, the figure got bigger and bigger. ‘Please be Beowulf. Please be him.’ Was all she could think about. Otherwise, she was sitting here like a duck, open for anything the world decided to throw at her next.

@[Beowulf] [so i saw you posted about beo x elsa baby and all I can see is a winged, horned flying polar bear. xDD and my original awesome post deleted, so this was it's pathetic replacement. :(]

"Lonely? I don't know. They tell me this is cold. I don't know what cold is, because I don't freeze"

The cold lashed at his face, A fierce wind battling its way through the mountain range. Drifts of snow were carried miles, creating those dreaded white outs. Though this hairy mammoth of an unicorn felt nothing, the cold was where he was born. His thick coat and extra fur was perfect for such temperatures. The snow to him was warm, like the sun to others. He craved the cold.
With a smile upon his faded blue face, he traveled further up the mountain path, with the cold still lashing against him, side on. The whistling of the wind through the mountain peaks echoed all around the vast, empty range.
Mykah traveled behind the Beast, finding it a little difficult keeping up with him, having to wade her way through the deep; to her, snow. Bouncing her way through it then diving back under as she went. The lynx kitten, still young always made everything a game.
Being so huge, Beowulf traveled ground smoothly, though his momentum was not swift. Mykah was able to keep up with him at times, Tending to drag back when she was distracted by the falling snow flakes, occasionally landing upon her, or just catching her flake-y, attention. Mykah, not having paid attention, collided with the feather trunk of a leg, belonging to Beowulf. She looked up to him with near white eyes, a glance was shared between the two; an almost silent conversation. Then with a swift leap, she jumped up upon his back, using her claws to pull ones self further up so she could rest just behind his whither's.
The Beast wasn't too bothered by her claws, though that didn't mean he liked it when she happened to catch him with them.
The shadowy figure grew closer with each step he took. Mykah was already half asleep on his back. A hawk cried overhead, apart from that, all was silent and eerie almost. The snow caught in the wind, created a magical veil of sightless-ness.
As they drew closer, the shadow started to twist and form into something a little more recognizable. His stomach dropped with each nearing step. Friend or Foe?
He hadn't made many a friends here yet, though of the few he met a couple of names had stuck. Quin, the one of the desert and heat. Then there was Elsa, the angel sent from heaven.
His mood lifted slightly at the thought of them two. Perhaps one had stopped by to see him. At that he wanted, no, He had the urge to bring a gift, all but forgetting the Foe part of this meeting. But there was nothing but snow upon these mountains. it was too late for that now. And..

"Elsa..?"

Elsa
My head's underwater, but i'm breathing fine.
Elsa was still stuck in a panic. It drew nearer and nearer until it too, had slowed. For a moment, nothing but the wind was speaking between the two bodies. Elsa held her breath fast, as if not breathing was going to make all the bad things go away. The scent of another then followed in the wind, that of a cat-like creature; no doubt a companion. Elsa racked her mind, trying to connect a cat with a being, but none of the faces matched with such a companion. She snorted nervously, before finally a voice spoke.

'Elsa?' God-damnit, she's know that voice from everywhere. The rumbling, mumbling chivalrous polar-bear dude from the caverns- Beowulf. A large, audible sight was released from her body as she marched over to him. "Jesus Beowulf. You scared the shit out of me!" She said exasperated, as she came to a stop in front of the large, hairy man. Then, the scent of a cat again bombarded her nose. Her ears perked curiously, as she peaked around his neck, to see a cat lying on his back. Elsa couldn't help but make a dirty joke. I mean... they were on that level right... and it was obviously a female cat. "You finally got some-" She paused for half a moment, revising. She was second guessing how he would take her comment. But, for giggles shake she winked at him before continuing. "You got a companion. What's her name?" Elsa couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy. "What have you been doing since the outbreak?" She asked, knowing almost for certain he was with the Basin. Although, stranger things have happened she hoped he was elsewhere. The Basin wasn't exactly "simpatico" with her or the falls. Her life... well, if he asked about it, she'd tell him. Otherwise, no point in being a downer right?

She paused again though, jealousy spiking about his companion. It was probably nice having one right? Especially one that understood you. That was all Elsa wanted, was for someone to understand. She was always so busy pleasing that she never had time to talk about her own problems. It only furthered her want for a companion. They could lean on each other, right?

He stared at the Angelic Elsa with a blank expression. Scared her? He hadn't even done anything to do such a thing. Perhaps it the reason why. For he had just slowly dwindled his way up the mountain. And he always did look quite Beastly, he couldn't help that fact though, No matter how much he tried. He was just born this way.

"Nice to meet you too, Elsa" He winked at her, his tone was slightly cocky. Perhaps the man was loosing his shyness about him. For the more and more he met, the less awkward he felt. Though some still made him feel a little out of place. However He had met Elsa before and he classed her as a friend. So
to be awkward around her would not be right.

Mykah remained curled upon the dip of his back, small enough to fit still. She yawned as the white mare glanced upon her, then tucked her head back in, seemingly fast asleep. Though for all they new, she was still listening in.

The man bobbed his head towards Elsa. "Her name is Mykah" He spoke of fondness and pride. So pleased with oneself to have found such a rare thing indeed. He honestly felt like a true being to have cared for her and survive. For he only knew that only few could survive the winters back home, home. His place before here. Not all foals were strong enough when the summer frost, became even colder. The mountains too, a torturous place indeed.

"I have been caring for my companion. I found her not too long after." In all honesty he hadn't really done much. He been here and there. Attended a herd meeting. Met the odd few others. But not really done anything truly adventurous. Perhaps Elsa could help with that.

He smirked inwardly, just a smile on the outside. "And what has my Angel been up too?" He spoke it as normal as ever, not even aware that he was; in a way. Hitting on her. His brain was much to slow and Male to pick up on anything remotely flirtatious. He only meant well.

blah blah blahblah blah blah blahblah

She stifled a laugh at Beowulf. The poor thing was just an awkward hairy lump of good-meaning. I mean, even his wink seemed to mechanical and foreign, but at least he was trying.

But he took her attention as he spoke of the cat, and she was glad he had not caught her joke. But, she was pretty sure that had answered her question. Beowulf, in all honesty, probably has not gotten any nether action. But, alas, Mykah seemed to control his attention. The way he talked made her think he was just smitten with her. Elsa sighed, a little jealous, but offered a friendly smile. "Such a lovely name! So she's still a young in'. Can for sure say i'm jealous. I want my own companion someday. All the bonds i've seen seem so good." Except for Oxy. Poor wisp didn't have a name as far as she knew. I mean, he pretty much flipped shit when it hatched and... well that was an awkward first day in Helovia. "Does she like others?" She asked, restraining herself from reaching a nose out to the cat. Of course, if she was friendly, Elsa wanted to give her a nudge. I mean... she looked so soft!

But attention turned to her, as he so chivalrously called her Angel. "When will you learn that I am probably more closely related to a demon?" She asked, rhetorically of course. But, that didn't mean she hated the compliment. It always felt good to be complimented, it made her feel a little more... normal. Especially in this land of crazy horses with weird markings and usual terrible attitudes. "Well... i've been promoted to Mason, crafting a lot, making some friends, pissing people off, getting poked in the eye... you know, the usual." She said with a laugh. It felt good to be able to joke around a little bit. I mean, considering circumstances usually sucked up happiness like a vacuum and then proceeded to puke up terror like it has eaten to much of it.
