What if God was One of us

Tears swelled in the child’s violet eyes, feelings crushed as she had turned away from the God of the Sun, as his liquid fire pooled her attempt to aid his request. 'You ask someone to help you, and when they try to spit liquid fire at their attempt, so disrespectful!' Her mind thundered in anger, a single tear streaking down dusted cheeks from angry narrowed eyes. It wasn’t the fact that she had lost, nor won- it was the sorry grace from a golden god who himself was not worthy of her presence. And it was her brother, chosen to stay to bask in the light of the lord. This was irritating, she had tried twice and been nothing but defeated. There was nothing worse than feeling alone in the world, left in abandonment only to be scooped up into the arms of a stranger and her kids.

In her aimless wandering, she paid no attention to where she was headed, nor did she really care at the moment. She was throwing a tantrum; her feelings were hurt, her heart broken, feeling alone and lost as she continued to walk along the lush green grass that sprouted at her feet. 'I’m a failure.' She cried within, violet eyes clenching shut over run with emotion. 'I was not worthy.' Cream flints moved along the changing terrain, her mind trying to focus on other things. Day dreaming in and out of her twin brother and her parents that one solace week they spend together.

How she missed them, how guilty she felt she didn’t take off after them as they were dragged away into oblivion. Maybe, they didn’t want her. No one else seemed too, is that why they had left her alone? Dual toned tiara shook in disbelief, 'Daddy said he’d be back for me.' She assured herself, eyes glancing upon the ground, as the surface slowly faded from soft green to a grainy white. A roar in the distance, liquid- and lots of it; distracted for a moment her tiny cranium lifted nostrils breathing in the salty water substance with curiosity. Never had she seen anything like it; then again there are many things she has not seen. Taking a deep breath, she worked up the courage to walk out upon the sandy beach and into the open. No one else was around, and these strange creatures scurried along the sandy surface.

"Hey!" She bleated out in a girly muffle as she eyeballed one of the red many legged creatures bump into her hoof. Staggering away, she lowered her plush muzzle to get a closer look at the alien creature. "Why you have so many legs? You only need four!" Of course, because naturally everything was compared to herself, or her kind; and she had never seen an eight legged horse wandering around. "You must be an Aliem!" She spoke with sudden joy, of having found such a creature. Dancing around it for a moment, she soon left it be as she gazed to the flock of white birds above; their cries rather annoying. Lobes shook, as she turned to gaze upon the rolling waters. Her mind blown at such a large body of water; She just had to touch it..

Prancing forth, ivory limbs struck the salty white wash as it rolled up the beach weaving around her hooves as they sank in the sand. She had seen water before; but none this vast and open- none this blue and smelly. Thirsty from her journey, she lowered her lips to the surface, doing her best to disregard the smell as her tiny pink tongue dipped into the water eager for a drink.

Violet eyes shot open, frozen in a shocked state her head retracted in a swift elevated motion against the sky as the rest of her body followed into a half rear; hooves striking out against the liquid substance."EWWWWWWWWWW!!" She shouted, shaking her head protruding her tongue in and out of enclosed lips to rid of the horrible taste. This wasn’t any sort of water she had tasted before, it was horrible, disgusting; way to much salt. Gazing around her feet, she watched as the sands crumbs glittered with the suns reflection. It was beautiful- in a nasty sort of way.

The ocean. It lacks the ability to change it's appearance, almost always the same way without having to put much effort in. High tide had rolled in recently, and the scent of dead fish overwhelmed the coastline. Her nostrils sucked in more of the smell with each breath, and their carcasses fast became a treat to Seagulls and other birds that came to feast on the ocean's execution of badly placed fish.
With each dive, she ducked, darting away from their descents. Having screamed once and sprinting away at one who had come too close for comfort, their numbers fell small when she took off full pace through the sand.
After what was nothing more than a quarter mile, the muscles in her legs had responded angry yells, complaining like an elderly woman who had some loud neighbors living near by. Ocean water called her name, and when she brought her sore legs to the water, relief surged through her.
Jumping when caught off guard, the sound of what she took as a scream landing her in a position to snort and pin her ears backwards in nervousness of as what would of caused the noise, her pale eyes crossed the horizon in search of anything that may of been the creator. Something small bounced about to the south of her, lively in the waters. She stares for what seems like hours when it is merely moments before her legs pick themselves up and push against the wave. The next one that comes in is strong, dragging her in.
This time, without a fight, she let's herself go and the ocean has it's way with her, taking her in when alabaster sands catapult themselves to her lower legs. She wears them in a fashionable stocking style.
The moving object comes in better detail as she comes closer, her pace slow, cautious, unsure of what she was walking herself into but careful to be ready to bolt if the situation was to call for it. Once close enough, it is nothing more than a child. She breathes a sigh of relief. Children do not cause large scale problems, they do not kill when they are alone. This one is a child at heart, a smile warming Sikeax's face at the sight of the filly's face.
"I'm afraid ocean water isn't much for drinking, but I can see you've figured that one out yourself." She does nothing to stop a warm hearted giggle to pass from her lips. "Is this your first time visiting the ocean?"

What if God was One of us

Almost violently the pink tongue laps upon onyx blazed lips, thirstier than before and unjustified of why the blue liquid tasted like a salt-lick, she turned her attention across the horizon. It was stunning, the most beautiful thing she had ever seen the waves crashing against the shallows in the distance. It was the roar and teasing hiss of the ocean that masked an approaching imposter. Lobes flattened startled, as a voice cut through the sounds of nature and into her mind. Eyes turned to gaze upon an older filly, bigger than herself, standing there talking about the ocean with a giggle laced voice. She too, was a stick barer- but hers glittered like the sky in a soft glow. Violet eyes beamed with courage as a smile tugged upon her lips in relief. Eyes turning off of her for a moment, as she asked her question about the ocean- her mind in a jumble of thoughts, as she now knew what the giant puddle of water was called."Yes, big blue puddle is Ocean?" She beamed, glad to have learned something new, dial turning to gaze upon the awkwardly built- but pretty filly that stood not so far way in the waves caress.

"It tastes ho-horrible." She managed to squeak her vocabulary into an sentence; before a rogue wave suddenly washed ashore, the power and force knocking her tiny physique upon the beach. A squeal of surprise erupted from her lips in a panic as she collected her long toned legs, staggering her now soaked self upon the shore, turning to look into the direction of the filly, not paying attention to where she was stepping, stumbling backwards and landing upon her rear, sitting as if a dog would on a lazy summers day.

Crack, snap.

The sound was soft, but to her it was as loud as thunder; one of the sand aliems she had so suddenly sat on grasped and pinched at her delicate tail fluff. In a screaming fit she lunged to her feet, kicking in a sandy wet mess back to the water, eyes alight in terror as the poor crab clung to dear life dangling and being kicked as she ran.

"THE ALIEM HAS ME! HELP!" She screamed loud; to others it would appear to be simple hilarity- a foal discovering crabs for the first time, considering them to be some extra terrestrial being as it held on to dear life while the child bucked around.

Prancing through the waves, she shook her hinds, swishing her tail to rid of the demon. "Get off me!" She pleaded, slamming on the breaks and turning to look at it as it squirmed about dangling from the tip of her fluffy tail.

Find a way to believe in fate

The child was much like herself, young, inexperienced, curious, and willing to learn. Her smile did nothing but widen when her legs struck the waves, swaying with them in a smooth rhythm so that it was easier to walk through them. A large one slams into her, striking against her lower barrel. She sways and stumbles, but is fast to regain balance.
The filly is not as lucky, flung limply about the ocean's unsettled wraith and facing the consequences of a small body. Leaping forward and landing upon her front hooves, sliding as her hind click against them before propelling herself forward. Worry fills her, eyes wider when she springs closer to the youth.
About the same time, the foal has gotten to her hooves, blawing out cries of distress. Buried in surprise, Sikeax finds herself half-rearing, skidding along the sand and almost spraying the youth one. She is moving about to fast for hee to focus, straining as a loud snort lunges from her nostrils, the whites of her eyes noticeable. Was there a reason to acting in such a way?
She finally does settle, much to Sikeax's relief. Sighing, but maintaining a smile with muffling a laugh, she steps forward. "Hold still, he's probably scared more than you are." With the use of her jaws, lightly, she is able to put a grasp on the crab, giving a harsh tug that was sure to lose some hairs in the kid's tail. Surprised, the crab moved about, using the free claw to swing in a threatening way. She did nothing more than lower her head to the sand, release, and watch as the crab ran in a hurry to bury itself in the sand.
Worried about the state of the child, a fast check is to the tail. No damage, or enough that would bring questions. Laughing low, a bright smile is given to the kid.
"He was probably more scared then you, you're a giant compared to him." More scurry across the sand, two engage in battle that is short lived when the smaller fled. Shifting her eyes back to the child, she watches with gentle eyes. "I'm Sikeax, a healer for the Dragon's Throat, though it's best to call me Sia. You are?"

OOC: Sorry for delays!
