One day we may see
A Woman king, sword in hand
Swing at some evil and bleed.

It was early morning. Arya had slipped from the sights of her mother(as all Helovian seem to do at least once within their young lives). The world was too big and too wide and she had to see all of it. Staying beside her mother’s bosom would do her no good, so, venture off she did. The previous day she had attempted an escape, only to be caught by a giant stallion with a glass horn much like herself, except his was that of deep crimson. He claimed to be her father and at first the child assumed he would send her back to her mother, instead, he walked with her. While they walked he told stories, ones of a shieldmaiden named Dieudonnée and the great general Alphonse. Arya took far more to the stories of the mare and quickly grew tired of the ‘great general’s feats.

Today though, she only saw her father in passing. Arya had thought herself quite sneaky to slip past his sights, while in reality he had seen. The filly trotted with her head held high and chest puffed out with pride. She was rather pleased with herself and the whole world deserved to know of her feat. Escaping from her mother’s side was no easy feat(or so she told herself). Every now and then though, the child could spot that white dog that had followed her father the previous day. She paid it no mind though for her young self didn’t quite know the concept of a babysitter quite yet.

She toddled along in the crisp Orangemoon air. As the child neared the entrance to the Basin, she stared at the sentinels her mouth agape. Soon they were forgotten as the child remembered her quest. There was a world to see and it was simply waiting for her to come to it. So, the child trotted through the entrance of the Basin and down the mountain pass, not entirely sure how long it was before she found herself in a most strange place. Before her was a mass expanse of grass. The weather already had grown warmer than up in her cold northern home.

The child ran through the grass, giggling as she went. She tripped and fell over onto her side which simply elicited an excited scream. The white dog came running towards her after her head perked back up.

“Hi puppy,” she said through a mad fit of giggles. Carefully she nuzzled the pup with her nose and rose back up to her feet. “Tag you’re it!” She said running off from the hound. Of course, the dog knew not what the child said but she knew how to play chase so she charged after the filly yapping as she went.

AND I WANT TO BE FREE
WHEN MY HEART IS MADE OF GOLD

Stepping lightly, legs making quick work of the ground below her, hooves landing gently upon the softened earth. She was cautious, weary, conscious of the world around her. She knew that there were monsters lurking, beasts in her shadows. But she payed them no heed, instead working her way through a field, one that was quite barren during this day, leaves changing from vibrant greens to darker reds, browns and oranges flickering in the leaves as well. Grass was turning sour, yellowing as the heat washes away, bringing forth crisp air that made one's skin tingle.

A dark avian swoops above her head, perching upon her croup with silver eyes wide. Early morning dew still clung to her bodice, covering the length of her body from her morning trot outside of the broken wall of the Edge. Droplets slip from her barrel, body shimmering, reflecting the sun that peeks out above the horizon. Halting as soon as a shrill, horrifying laugh hits her ears. A screech from a child, a voice that makes her heart stop and her body shake. She recalls the voice of the little monster quite well, the way she would giggle whilst running around her legs, weaving in and out before the childe would trip over herself. The way she cried out as she was beaten, destroyed, leaving exposed flesh and tears cutting through the crimson stains. The memories haunt her, making her want to crumble now, but she pushes herself forward.

She spots the child, one with a little roaned body, under the white hairs there lays a coat of similar colouring to the little monster. Her body shakes violently, her heart pounding rapidly as she gazes at the child and her hound. Lior ruffles his feathers, staring down upon the mutt with displeasure. Taking a hesitant step back, she fears it is too late, that the child may have already noticed her glitter figure a few yards away. Taking a step forward, she tries to surpass the child, if there was breath to hold she would be squeezing it tightly, praying that this bomb waiting to go off would remain there and not blow her sky high. She did not want to be near such an unpredictable creature, one that could slay someone within moments or cling to them with big, dewy eyes that melt your heart to reveal your true self, where you become a vulnerable victim for them to prey upon.

Another came and drew Arya’s attention from her wild game of chase. Her mouth dropped into a wide gape at the sight of the stranger. The child stopped in her tracks and simply stared at the mare as she passed and the magnificent bird that flew with her. This creature was unlike anything she had seen within her icy home. In fact the mare resembled the ice that filled the Frozen Arch. With one glance over at her white hound she pranced over to the mare hoping to get a better look. As she moved she was oblivious to the terror racing through the stranger.

Caution with strangers perhaps needed to be a bit more drilled into the child’s mind. No one could possibly harm her in this brilliant world that was so new and filled with adventures and stories. Surely this strange sparkly creature had a story to tell how she was born. Maybe this kind of creature was normal and Arya was simply oblivious to the marvelous beings that roamed about the land. How anyone could simply be content in a single place she couldn’t tell. There were too many sights to see.
“Hi!” Arya called out loudly a wide grin written across her face. Odette toddled along a few feet behind her with both ears pricked forward. “I’m Arya! Who’re you? Do you live here? Why are you see through? Do you like the color green? Cause I only like it if it’s green like the grass. My favorite color is blue. What’s your favorite color?” On and on the child went spilling out questions loudly from her mouth. She was a curious thing and she simply wanted to know everything there was to know about this strange creature that seemed to be made of ice. Surely this was a sight to behold!
