Gull A low rumble echoes in your belly as you swoop over a particularly green field. Might as well, you think eagerly, banking a left to pass over it again. You’ve explored most of the island by air after parting ways with Bellona, but in your fascination, you’ve almost forgotten to eat—and THAT would be a cardinal sin in a place like this. Hooves touch down in the verdant meadow, cushioned pleasantly by the fresh grass, and you snort appreciatively, pulling up mouthful after mouthful. Eating this heartily will never grow old to you. As you chew, you mull over what you’ve seen so far. It is a strange land, filled with floating islands and vibrant females, and it’s certainly wide and wild enough to satisfy your wandering heart for the time being. And the pegasi! You have only been here for a short time, but you’ve already seen healthier beasts with glossier coats than you have ever seen in your life. Though you are alone, your head bobs in satisfaction, reveling in your numbers. This paradise is not without its blights, however. Your expression darkens as you remember the unicorn who greeted you upon your arrival, wicked horns bared. While your tussle is done and over with, weeks later, your blood still boils at the mere thought of him. And you sense that he is not the only one, either. There must be more of his kind—the only question is, how many? As the last bites of your meal disappear down your gullet, you look around, deciding where to head next. Perhaps you will finish your exploration of this floating haven, and then, who knows? You’ll let the wind carry you, you suppose.
