Biru
It was an incredibly horrid frost fall. Not only had they managed to stray far from their intended targets, Biru had no purpose anymore. Annabelle constantly insisted that he was meant for something, trying to get him to see that he was worth more than he was crediting himself with. He however, was insistent upon his mood. There had been no contact with another horse in a long while, and most days were spent lazily grazing. Even his muscle mass had declined a little. What once were muscles strung taught across his skin, now seemed to be nothing more than a flabby, useless part of his body. The deer, however, had thought the winter to be a time of growth. She had grown, almost into her full form. Her elemental markings of dark smoke protruded from the white spots that she was born with. The antlers upon her head too, had lost their furry feel and now stuck out in a rather impressive rack. She even began to talk to him through her mind, which was honestly the craziest thing ever, and most annoying. Although the words were usually blabbered and mixed up, he was usually able to decipher her jokes and words as she spoke them. "Well good for you." He muttered grumpily, closing his eyes and looking away like an indolent child. The deer, hurt, took a few steps back, running headlong into his chest, hit it with full force. Biru screamed, much like a little girl, and the deer ran off into the brush, laughing loudly into his head. He couldn't help but crack a smile though, he did sound ridiculous through her mind. "Fine, but really, we can't sit around here all the time and pretend like we're having fun. We need to actually do something." His voice was a mix between a whine and persistence. They had no home, so that, above all else, needed to be a top priority. Or make some friends, that would probably be good to considering the only woman he met here he had ended up stabbing. That wasn't exactly the best way to start anything. @[Romani] [sorry its a little weird, I'm still getting used to him since I haven't written him in a while. ^^] Smoke & Mirrors |

Romani It had been a long time since she had ventured into the Thistle Meadow. Normally, out of all of the locations in Helovia, the Thistle Meadow tended to be the place that she avoided the most... It was after all, the place where she had met Xanthos, where their relationship had blossomed only to fail shortly after the birth of their daughter. The location, while beautiful, especially with the crisp, crystals of snow covering each inch of the rolling land, caused the gypsy's heart to clench painfully in her chest. The grullo stallion was a thing of the past, and she hadn't even seen him since their bitter argument over a year ago... But that was for the best.
'Roma, there's no need to fret... He isn't here.' A set of sharp sapphire eyes glanced back to the white tigress that followed in her hoofsteps, her gaze meeting the icy orbs of Kasai's ever watchful gaze. They were quite a sight to behold, traversing the land together; a golden-red, muscular princess-turned-gypsy-turned-warrior traveling alongside a white tiger, sleek and deadly, but their bond was precious. Kasai understood her in ways that Romani didn't even understand herself, but perhaps that was the meaning of a Companion... "You're right, sweet... My apologies. I just simply don't understand why you insisted that we come here, of all places." Muscles coiling, stripes bunching, Kasai pushed off from the snowy plains beneath their feet and bolted forward, looking back towards the Haflinger with an expression that Romani could have sworn resembled a sly grin. The large cat darted through the snow drifts, the white of her thick coat blending in with the snow covered land, save the stripes of ebony black. Over dunes of ice-crystals, through hills of powder, Kasai ran, and only when the snow clung to her fur did the female feline stop. 'Come play!' ... In the snow? Romani loathed the snow, but not for the frigid temperatures it brought or the snow that caused little-to-no traction upon the earth for her hooves... She loathed it for the terrible, nightmarish memories that it brought, but clearly Kasai was trying to make her fight her fear. Like one might fight their fear of water, or the dark, there was no way to overcome such terror without facing it head-on. Like a soldier going to war. Collecting her bulk from beneath her, Romani grit her teeth, narrowed crisp, azure eyes, and bolted after the large cat. Together, horse and tiger chased one another through the desert of snow that had become the Thistle Meadow, through the plains that once she had ran through with Xanthos... But that was a different time. That was before, and now, was... Well, now. Romani wasn't too certain how long they played through the snow, but their time of ease came to a sharp halt the moment that Romani realized they weren't alone in the Thistle Meadow today. Coming to a sliding stop in the snow, kicking up white granules that clung to the Haflinger's golden-red coat, the mare's gaze turned towards a winged stallion of quite the different color. The gypsy had just spotted the winged, horned stag just before the other horned creature charged horn-first into the winged one's chest, and Romani couldn't help but balk at the rather, well... Feminine scream that tore from the stallion's chest. Well, that was certainly unexpected! "Hark, stranger!" The Haflinger called out through the distance between them, idly noting how Kasai padded through the snow towards the Haflinger's side. They were quite disheveled now from their play; covered in snow, Romani's cumbersome forelock hung down her muzzle, the strands of her mane and tail furled and knotted, but it did nothing to hide her feminine face. "Are you alright, Sir? That looked like quite the fierce blow from your friend here!" [So, so, so sorry for the wait! <3 @[Biru] ]
