Beautiful. Just Beautiful. The gold shook his weary hide, his circlet clinking about his horns, as a chill ran down his spine. The unusual cold for this season had caused the gold to bring out his wolf cape again. It draped elegantly over that dorsal stripped back, and swung as he walked. He reaches back even now to pull at it, feeling the jingle of stones around his neck. He smiles thinking about the four black gems tied about his neck. There had been three before.

A small figure brushes against his leg as he hurries along. Harks pin back for a moment as he looks down at the black spotted fawn, trotting alongside him to keep up. That was also new since the last time. The little fawn was most excited, only because for the first time in a while the gold was excited. So strong was it that it passed through even the weak bond they had at the moment, and so bubbled within the tiny creature. He could feel the readiness, the tinging nerves and jumpy gaits. So though the small creature was far too young to know of the cause, he too bounded happily.
Over the rocks of a spit of land to a volcano they travel. It was warmer here, but the gold kept his wolf hide. He always did enjoy it so. Still he slowed his pace, thinking a few last moments before coming to it. Those four around his neck had been ever so carefully planned, and caught. Only one had gone wrong, and really it had turned out quite alright. All were precious.

Oxy’s blood magic. It was supposed to be a hostage situation. To steal the addict’s bag and then trade it back for a price. Didn’t exactly go as planned. Still, having seen the bay creature from above as he killed that idiot red and white giant, the gold had noted…a weakness. It played in handy for him as he called the bay into battle. The druggy never knew what hit him, and with the moon’s gift he left without a scratch.

Deimos’s death magic. That had not exactly been a fun one to collect. It had been a rough day to say the least. Gaucho had been a rough start to the day and Haldir had not exactly made a good impression in front of the dark devil. Still, the magic of death was a powerful one the gold did not want to miss. So he had to suck it up and ask. But least you think he had given in, the gold threw a wrench. He covered calling its purpose for the runt of the Edge who tried to steal his armor. The runt did eventually get his due. Thor of course had stepped in, but he most certainly knew the meaning of hellfire now.

Mirage’s illusion magic. Which lead him to this little treat. Of course the bay never knew it happened. Still it was quite a satisfying moment when blood fell on his blades again and again. Of course the pathetic bay did belong to her herd. Still, even she should understand how underhanded the whole thing was. They broke the treaty. More so her own herd was trying to steal her own creation. All’s fair in war. Forget love.

Ophelia’s mind magic. Now that had been a special treat. Having slipped in for a show as his lady examined the fire bird at the murder scene, the gold had not expected to get this last gift. It made for a most excellent plan though. No one knew he stole it. No one even knew it was there. It would have been brilliant had that oaf warrior not been so blunt as to not react. It was a seamless performance though that day.

That day…The gold stopped. The small black spotted fawn saw the gold stop and looked back confused. For a moment those earth eyes swirled with something dark. Deep in thought. Then with a flash of gold the golden shook his head and moved off again, coming up to a large crumbled monument. The sky island was not much further, but given the…recent events, the gold sensed to avoid it. The island didn’t feel right. Especially not that place of black ash where the dark lady had burned.

So coming to her stone, which stood tall in the dark of night, near glowing in the moonlight the gold stops and pulls off the four amulets from his neck, placing them before the stone. Haldir looked from behind the gold where he had been shoved with wonder. Then the world stilled and those earth eyes looked up to the moon above.

“Oh Goddess of the Moon so high,
See now your servant returning nigh.
Here before your stone I place,
Not three, but four for your grace.
Choose your poison, and the story,
Each one stolen with a flare of glory.
So I have done as you’ve asked,
Now let us see what comes to pass.
For you are the Goddess of the Moon so high,
This I shall never deny.”

The small fawn lifts his ears with wonder at the gold’s words as he spoke to elenath [night sky]. He did so love elenath as well, but to hear the gold speak to it so smoothly, and sweetly. It sounded like a melody to the small child, the lover of the stars.

The golden waits, listening and watching for her. His nerves tingling with anticipation, but training keeping his body lean and still. Despite his worries, she would always be the one he aligned with most. Though he knew she couldn’t care for a mortal such as him (even if he was the most dashing, cunning, brilliant one of them all), it was always nice to have someone FINALLY understand.

lady diamond in the sky
"Thranduil"

Her words echoed out of no where. A stillness fell upon the veins. All light seemed to bleed away as dark shadows that lingered behind the stones overtook the light. A glistening curtain of black star light suddenly parted, revealing the slender and svelte form of the Goddess. She descended seemingly from the stars, her lilac body tinged with starsheen.

He had perhaps chosen an optimal moment to come to her, for soon she would be tied up with ... other matters. But she was pleased. The twisted and manipulative mind of this golden prince mirrored the darkness within her, and she was well pleased. Such a pity that he wasted his time in the frozen northlands. Surely her brother had no use for a servant such as he? Oh but she would, if only he would leave those frigid mountains.

I see four amulets here. Have you forgotten how to count?" She purred, clearly in jest. Her pupil-less eyes danced with amusement and a darkness as her mind slowly wove itself around the idea of Thranduil.

Her body slowly began to change - her confirmation reshaping itself as her lilac pelt began to fade to gold. Her wings folded into her back, and her horn split into two - all of those took no more than a few seconds, and during the transition her body appeared to waver slightly. The likeness to Thranduil was completely perfect. She titled her now masculine chin, as a handsome grin parted her lips. A wind rushed up behind her, is if pulling this new skin off of her body. Particles of stardust blew from her form onto Thranduil, returning the Goddess to her original form.

Her gaze fell to the fourth amulet on the ground. She smirked, appreciating the extra lengths with which he had gone. It began to glimmer and sparkle, as if coated in a layer of star sheen. Her delicate muzzle nosed towards the item. "For your efforts .. and your poetry."

Congratulations! Thranduil has been granted his magic!

Thranduil has also been granted a glowing (like with stardust) medium item from the Goddess - OR he can decide to keep it in amulet form and use the magic within it. Up to you.

His name echoes through the hollows of the night air and the golden’s grin grows. Excitement which primed his body now stilled, waiting to see her descend. Darkness crowded the pair, but the golden was not afraid of it. He knew, though she was the queen of dark magic, she would not harm him. The small fawn at his side did not exactly have the same mind. He could see the star begin to disappear, and the world fade around them. Instinctively he leans into the gold, with ears tucking back. What was this? What-

Then she steps out from the stars, and both creature light with grins. Haldir was most excited and in wonder. His little body leaned in, stepping towards the goddess. She was elenath [night sky], the Rhien uin elenath [Queen of the night sky]. His little tail began to wag about his hinds and it did not stop. She was so beautiful! Her dark mist and purple hues seeming to seeming to set off the sky around her all the brighter. The golden was equally thrilled to see her standing before him again. But of course he kept himself more together. He horned head nodded to her, and smile carried forth a matching darkness with her own.

She moves to look at the amulets laying before her stone. Her jest was taken in stride though. Oh never was he more in tune with the darker manipulations of his heart than when he was around her. So his retort can quick. “Have you forgotten how to be flattered?” Oh how good it felt to tease with her. But wait, something was changing. As her body began to change the gold only raises a brow in interest, but the babe at his feet is wrapped about this mare’s hoof. Having heard the purr of her voice he leaned in ever closer, daring to take another step. As her form began to morph however, the tiny creature seems taken a back. When at last there stood two goldens the babe could not help but hang his mouth open. What was this!? Where did she go! Why did she change her beautiful self! He wanted her back!

The golden was most amused. He had forgotten how handsome his reflection was. A wind blew in his face and the gold lighting her coat blew on him. His eyes closed partially against it but he favored the look of a glimmering coat. As the gold settled on him a sip of electricity charged through his nerves. Every sensation was popping and cracking with a new liquid spilling into his blood. The gold inhaled deeply and it settled, but for a tingling along his spine. He couldn’t resist it for a moment. Inhaling deeply again he feels it pulled in, and with an exhale his own form morphs. Gold seems to fade to near black velvet and earth eyes go gray. His twin horns curve together and fall lower on his face. Then wings burst from his sides. The golden’s first trick was hers. With a grin he looks to her. “Thought you could use a mirror to see that beauty.” The voice that purrs out is not his own, but hers. And the chuckle which follows it is just as dark and sinister.

It was a wonder that through all this, Haldir didn’t faint. He had wanted the Rhien back, but this was too much! Now he wanted the gold back! The poor deer’s face kept twisting back and forth from one to the other in utter confusion. Meanwhile the golden was still in heaven with this new development. That refined goddess head twisted around looking all over herself. Head dipped down to look at the under chaise, man, that magic was thorough…though it made his inner gut flip to see a few things missing. Wings fluttered at his side and the head turns to look as they stretch out tentatively. His smile growing as he looks them over. “Those take some getting used to.” With the slowness of unease they tuck back. Looking to the twin across the way the gold exhales and like a dark mist the violet body and wings seem to fall away. Leaving the golden. “Many thanks.” Haldir, for the first time in a while looked most relieved, and snugged against the golden’s leg.

That wasn’t all though. Looking down at the prizes before her one begins to glimmer and shine. It grows slightly and when she at last pushes the item his way it is a full glimmering golden cloak. The fawn rushes to it first at seeing it covered in elenath. His small nose running over it before at last he turns with wide as to the gold. Giving a grin to the goddess the gold reaches down and picks up the glowing cloth gingerly. Considering its size he tosses it over his back, and finding a circle clip he fastens it around his neck. Its shear fabric let the night breeze through so that it was not too hot like his wolf hide. After turning around to see himself the gold, with a wide grin looks back to the goddess. “It does suit.” Then chuckling he adds, “It was a pleasure.” Happy as a lark the golden falls silent, but Haldir was just too excited to be still. His little hooves danced under him as the bond between them began to overflow with the excitement. Looking back at the Rhien the small deer continues to wag his tail and look up to her in wonder. The golden above him though has resolved this to be the end of their meeting, for now. Of course, being so alike, they were bound to see each other again soon.

“Have you forgotten how to be flattered?” A silvery laugh parted her lips at his words, her velvety lips twisting into a delicate smirk.

As he tries to take her own form, the Goddess head tilts curiously to the side, an amused smile playing on her lips. "Oh no. It is you who needs the mirror..." Her body becomes encased in dark magic, highly reflective so that he might see the new form he has taken. Her body, so completely wrapped in magic cannot be replicated. Not with any real precision anyways. The figure he sees looks far too fat, and does not shimmer the way she does. Her feathers appear pale, and her eyes sunken and blind. "Perhaps you should stick to mortal forms." She teased, knowing he could likely be disappointed his facsimile bore only a pathetic likeness. "I am one of a kind after all." She added with a wink.

Nodding at his appreciation, the Goddess disappeared in column of black smoke, which left pieces of starlight glittering on the ground where her hooves had only moments ago touched the earth.
