Finally everything is falling into place. The sun shone a bit brighter, the sky seemed clearer, and his heart felt so light it could float away like a balloon on the gentle sea breeze. Tallsun is approaching, evident in the rising temperatures but not even the heat and humidity of the Edge could bring him down. Moving into a rather bouncy trot, his wings folded loosely at his sides to allow the breeze to caress his sides, he makes his way through the trees. Each step is light, graceful; his ears are attentive and forward, his chin tucked towards his chest. His heart dances in his chest, rejoicing and swelling with a joy he has never felt before. His path is one that is infinitely familiar to him; one that he has taken so often before but he sees it now with new eyes. He notices everything he had missed because his head was low or his mind so tormented that he just didn't see. The flowers in full bloom, the fullness of the trees, and the abundance of moss; even the birds caught his attention, their songs echoing the love he feels in the depths of his heart and soul.

He follows his usual path, heading straight for the ledge above the sea. Breaking through the trees, he dances his way across the grasses and stops about a foot back from where it drops into the sea. He shifts his wings a bit further from his sides - though he does not completely extend them - and lifts his nose into the breeze. The wind sweeps his forelock back from his face and his baby blue eyes close gently, allowing him to focus entirely on the feel of the sea breeze. Content. Relaxed. He inhales deeply and as he exhales, the wind carries away all his doubts, fears, and pains - leaving him feeling all the lighter for it. He is regaining his peace, regaining the joy that he knew in his childhood. Finally his love is returned. Finally the Gods have smiled down on him, making him whole again. The sound of the sea crashing and rolling against the rocky cliffs fills his ears, drowning out all but the twittering birds. He is alone, physically, for the moment. Eliana, his beloved zephyr, is off hunting and Alysanne is somewhere - probably in the company of friends or gathering and tending to the herbs.

But for the first time, in many years, he didn't feel alone.

The breeze from the cliffs was warmer today and a sun hung high in the sky, a subtle marker of Tallsun to come. A renewal of the potential life has to offer. Spring was a respite from winter but it was Summer that everything waited for. Even the sea seemed more volatile then before, surging against the cliffs with renewed vigor and thunderous roars. Walking along the cliffs was one of Leeka's favorite pastimes and had long ago become a regular habit for her. The long chain of coast provided amble space and hours of trials, the views unlike any she had had before were spectacular. Just the vastness of it all was enough to keep her coming back, trying in vain to grasp it all from horizon to horizon. It was the perfect place to daydream.

Leeka wouldn't consider herself as imaginative, more of a ponderer, really. Her thoughts were factual and worked to decipher the inner workings of things or question why things were. Take the fog for example. Right now the air was warm and full of humidity, yet the breeze coming off the ocean and the land itself was cool. The difference causes the water vapor to condense, creating the iconic mists of the Edge that bloomed across the vast stretches of coast of woodland everyday. It was a natural event, more or less. She had seen it happen before in real time once early one morning, but even then Leeka held... suspicions. While she may count herself among the more rational thinkers, Leeka regarded her gut feelings as a considerable truth, if not infallible. There was still much she had to learn about these... Gods of Helovia, but that was a thought for another day as something else caught her attention.

A figure stood along the edge of the cliff, basking in the glory of the warm sun and teasing at the breeze with his half furled wings, doubtless enjoying the sensation of wind under them as it rushed underneath. Many Edger's enjoyed the presence of the sea so it was unsurprising to find another hanging about, though she did not know this one nor had she seen him before. No reason to fret, we are all family here. Family, how nice those words were to speak again and believe them. Trotting up to the edge, Leeka drew beside the stranger, leaving a few body lengths between them.

" Nice to see someone else enjoys the view the same as I do. It's beautiful, isn't it? Must be even better from high above."
