The walk was a swift one, and mostly quiet. Maybe that was a good thing, and that Gaelica was thinking about what she wanted to do. There is nothing better than figuring it out so you make the right decision the first time. It would be a pity if she moved up the ranks in one place, and then changed because she didn't have the heart for it. The ingredients to a good worker is happiness. Those who are not happy will not produce as much as those who aren't. So, which would you prefer?

The entrance of the Falls roared. The water spilled over the side concealing the entrance, and Elsa smiled. This was by far her favorite part of these journey's. The look on the faces of the newcomers were sometimes absolutely hilarious. Not many trust themselves to dive headfirst into a waterfall. "We've got to go through there." Elsa winked, and then dove in. Her body was pounded with the water but she was quickly on the other side. "Your turn!" She called. Hopefully the echoing of the small cave would help project her voice past the Falls so she could get in. Then they'd be all set.

Edgar now set fuming atop Elsa's head. He had not expected her to jump so suddenly through the Falls. Now he was soaked, cold, and utterly infuriated by his bonded. Turning, he jumped off her head and flew out the end of the cave into the Falls. "Live a little!" She called after her companion. All he did was squawk in annoyance.

Gaelica you can post whenever she gets changed to outcast, but I just wanted to get this up so you had something to reply to!

After the few cursory times you ran into her while gathering stuff for that super lame boat trip, you guess you should probably find Snowflake again. To be fair, you really were doing the world a favor by keeping an eye on T1. Maybe… come to think of it, you might have caused just as much chaos as she did. Whatever. Life is no fun if everything is all happy and perfect. Plus, you got to find out that Thranduil is an asshole who can transform, so you can officially trust nobody. At least, after all that bullshit, the Moon Goddess put your life back in order. No more hallucinations except those caused by your drugs, no more pain except those caused by your fighting. You are, for better or worse, mostly back to normal.

So anyways, finding Snowflake… You better start with home. With your bag at your side fairly full of locoweed, minus a few strands that you’ve eaten along the way, you stumble your way towards the path that leads you into your home. And indeed, fate has a funny way of placing you in the right place at the right time, for there ahead you see Snowflake and… well, somebody else. Doesn’t matter who. Except, there she goes walking through the waterfall. Damnit, you want to say. There –is– dryer way into the falls. But it doesn’t matter what you think, because this seems to be Snowflake’s favorite way in, and you don’t think you’re going to change her mind any time soon.

Following obediently through, thoroughly annoyed that you have to be soaking wet but otherwise content, you walk up behind her and grumble. “Snowflake,” you greet her, smiling contentedly as you walk up beside her. You’ve never been happier to see her- no hallucinations, no pain… just her. Pressing your muzzle into her neck, ignoring the fact that Gaelica can watch you display emotion, you rumble contentedly in your chest. In some ways, it’s peaceful to be back around her with nobody exploding things. In other ways, it’s a little strangely quiet.

Edgar was by now long gone. The pale bird had taken off for the trees, taking his seething anger with him. It wasn't a punishment to cause him so much anguish, only a way to give a little spark of humor in Elsa's life. Plus, he was the one being that came back no matter what she did. Everyone else seemed to fall in and out with time, while Elsa was stuck frozen in one place. Her future could not be determined by herself, instead she was the stepping stones that others needed to pave their future. Swallowing another terrifying thought she stepped back, noticing a shadow move behind the curtain of the Falls. The water skewing the features into one dark blob.

The figure finally broke through the water, except it was not who Elsa had intended to see. Instead of her usual happy, peppy mask of recruitment she was caught in a whirlwind of momentary shock. One thing that always caught her off guard was the unpredictable and unplanned. Without a regiment, without a itinerary, she felt out of sorts. So, when the humor of watching an unsuspecting victim dive through the falls did not come to fruition, she was terrified. He did not terrify her, for he was doing everything she asked him to. He made sure Shida made it home in one piece (sort of), and Auriel held enough of her trust to go out and wander around on her own. They were completely different in personalities, but both were existing fine without her. Without the children around anymore, and him making sure one of them was okay, she felt a huge disconnect.

Her attention was momentarily grabbed by his voice. It wasn't the most harmonious sound, but it was comforting. When he grazed across her shoulder she smile weakly and moved her muzzle to bump him lightly. She wanted to cry, but she had it all. Tears were not deserved, because she had her kingdom, she had her wishes. At least he could be a temporary reprieve from everything, even if it was only for a few fleeting moments. "Hi." The relief was overwhelming, who knew that just saying that would mend it all. "Thank you, for making sure Shida didn't hurt herself." On second thought, those words burned like hell. Admitting that he was right, or was doing something right, was the most surprising thing about this entire situation. "I'm sorry I haven't been around." Ouch, that hurt just as much. The truth though, tended to do that. A lot of her self-pity and isolation was caused by herself, and it wasn't fair to those around her. She didn't even know if he'd care, or even know what she was talking about. The words just needed to be put out on the table, for him to decide what to do with them, if anything. Turning again she gently bumped with her muzzle, just a reminder that he too came back once in a while.
