The Three Peaks

LOCATION
Castellia (cast-ee-a) is made up of three mountain peaks; the western peak, the southern peak, and the northern peak. Each of these peaks jut down into the farthest eastern shores of the oceans of Loorien. In the summer, the weather is cool and beautiful with the breeze from the ocean cooling the mountains off. However, in the winter, Castellia is burdened with harsh cold and snow that surrounds them all around. The ocean is almost always cold, all year round, and in the winter, it freezes over.

THE THREE PEAKS
On the southern peak of Castellia, a clan of heavy, draft like unicorns reside. These unicorns are called the Cyrn. They are a belligerent and cunning herd, who are hardened to the harsh climate that they are subject to, nearly the entire year, due to the southern peak being the highest of elevation of the three peaks. They are usually very loyal to their herd and very rarely does one leave, unless they are forced. Currently no known Cyrn wander Loorien.

On the northern peak resides the light, hot blooded pegasi. This pegasus clan calls themselves the Adain. These creatures are kinder, more noble, and more reasonable than the Cyrn. For the past few decades, they ruled over Castellia, but just recently, they were driven from their land by the Cyrn. Only a few survived the attack and now they travel as vagabonds throughout Loorien. Known survivors included Daenarys, and Blaidd, princess and prince, previous heir to the throne of the Adain.

The western peak is desolate, and is said to be haunted by the souls of the equines whom died along with their gods decades ago. None dare to go here, as no one has ever returned to tell the tale of what is on the western mountain.

THEIR BELIEFS
At the beginning of time, there were three Gods, all brothers. Ceffyl, God of Equines, Asgellog, the God of Pegasi, and Corniog, the God of Unicorns. They created three peaks to which each god created some of their own to reside on them. Ceffyl was weak compared to the other two gods, but was still their brother. Asgellog loved Ceffyl, and watched after him and Ceffyl's equines with much care. Asgellog and Ceffyl believed that each of the three houses would rule their mountain and together each leader of the clans would work together to make the kingdom successful. However, Corniog had other ideas.

Corniog, the god of the Unicorns, believed that the most powerful should have control over all the kingdoms and rule. Knowing much about battle strategy, and being much of a trickster, Corniog came up with a plan to become the ruler of Castellia. Corniog knew how much Ceffyl meant to Asgellog, and figured that if he killed Ceffyl, Asgellog would grow weak in grief for his brother's death, so weak, that Corniog would be able to kill him off with ease. However, Asgellog was not stupid by any means.

Corniog and his soldiers marched to the western peak and killed all of the equines and his brother, Ceffyl. Corniog then went alone to Asgellog, thinking he had no idea that the equines had been wiped out yet. Corniog planned to assisinate his brother after telling him the news of Ceffyl's death, however Asgellog knew of his corruptness and expected this. He had his army waiting and they attacked Corniog and his army. Corniog and Asgellog died at the other's hand in battle. Ultimately, Asgellog had won, however and his forces drove back the Unicorns. The grudge between the Cyrn and the Adain still remains however, and the Cyrn finally got their revenge after killing nearly all of the remaining Adain and taking over the North peak of Castellia.

If you'd like to make a character from either the Cyrn or Adain, go ahead! Just let me know so I can update this.
