Spice

She stumbles across the now-cooling terrain. It was a few days into Orangemoon, and she was already feeling the wonderful new chill in the air, only one or two leaves blowing around from the trees gathered along the oasis's edge. It was a nice view, when you thought about it. A beautiful existence when you took away all you knew about it. But when you added all the complicatedness (which wasn't too much so to speak) it became a different experience.

All those equines calling this place their home, it was a lot of weight to put on a place. But she figured it would never look run down or old, unless everyone left and stopped attending to it like they did ever-so-efficiently all the time.

Furthermore,

this place was a beauty, and she couldn't stop staring at the landscape from under her lengthening locks. Her emerald gaze widened to let a wandering bird into her view, it landed on a bare branch of a tree, silhouetted against the wonderful sunset-splashed sky, and for a moment, it sung a beautiful song. Notes dipping and twirling in a beautiful crescendo. Spice could almost imagine herself dancing in the sky, joyed by her wonderful home, and the music that played there.

Wayne joined in the chorus, though that was when the other bird decided to take off, leaving them alone to wander again. No one seemed to be around at the moment, so Spice took this time to spread out, and sleep. Though, last time she'd decided to have a nap some stallion decided to trip over her and give her a bruise on her rump not to mention.
But she wasn't too mad about it thankfully. She could have taken that dude down, even if she wasn't a warrior. But he seemed to polite and kind for that, so she held back her judgment of his clumsiness (because she was also clumsy too) and held a firm smile.

Pulling to a slow stop at the water circle, she sighed a heavy sigh, the weight of the day hanging on her shoulders. She'd gone to the Threshold in search of some new recruits, though none had turned up, and by then it'd started to get dark so she headed back.
Now she stand in front of the oasis, wondering how her hair had gotten this messy, and since when did she lose so much weight. "Ugh. I need to eat something." She muttered to her own face in the water, hoping if there was anyone nearby they wouldn't think her insane.

She dipped her head down, her mane now long enough to touch the water, she stepped in, though not that much dirt was on her she wanted something other than salt on her body from the sea. It would slick back her hair and keep it stiff and horribly dry. She didn't know since when she cared about this stuff, but it had just been getting on her nerves for the past weeks.

Lowering herself into the pool was easy, she'd only need a quick dip and then she'd be out. Keeping to her promises, she pushed herself out once more from the cool water, making her way back to the grassy landscape.

She plops down, unaware of any watching eyes and stretches her wings out in the setting sunlight rays. Her head reached to the sky, muzzle stretched out like she was waiting for a god or something to come and nuzzle her back, she sighed lightly. Letting out all that was in her.

Wayne was becoming more independent by the day, her spurts of happiness coming more and more when she heard her bonded Spice speak. She'd been watching how often Spice ate, and was noticing some changes. And when the girl had mentioned her weight, Wayne's heart lurched in her still-young chest. Though she could not yet communicate with Spice fully -though she knew it was going to happen someday- she could still see the feelings plastered across the filly's features. She tried something out then, taking flight away from her forelock and sitting on her rump where her bruise must've been, because she flinched. Moving a little away from the bruised patch, she tweeted a short, happy song. Her head reached to the sunset just as her mate's. A smile on her small beak, exited for the days to come.
Spice had noticed the changes finally. It's been long enough. "I love you, Spice" she shouts into the void of endlessness that was her mind. Nothing came back, and that was okay, now. It wasn't going to happen yet. But soon. Her bonded was asleep with her nose stretched to the sky, and odd gesture, but a good one.

"blah blah blah."
yeah the last paragraph were in Wayne's (her companion) perspective.
