[Figured they could chat a bit first.]

Strength. That was the word that continued to follow her into every conversation and every situation as of late. Abraham had said that it was strength and proving himself the victor which had yielded his two dragons. It was through strength that she and Volterra had condemned all those woodland animals to death when fire took their homes - strength allowed the Goddess to invade Helovia (and on the flip side, our weakness which had let her).

Hototo's lack of strength was why he was dead. At least, in her mind.

Fully grown now, even though she was still two seasons new to the world, the concept of strength and being strong enough, constantly rolled around through her thoughts. How was she supposed to bring balance to the world, to make up for what her brother failed to do and paid for with his life, if she was weak? Her limbs had grown long and were beginning to thicken with muscle, but only of the sort that came with long runs. She usually spent most of her time as a raven, and so a body which had the potential to be quite strong, was in fact rather lanky.

She needed to change that; she just didn't know how.

Pacing around the meadow just after dawn when enough light filtered through to illuminate the field but not warm it, the girl contemplated. She had seen others fighting - sparring - was that what she needed? A feaux display of strength to prepare her for the real thing? Her pale blood splattered coat twitched as a chill ran through her spine. The light of Tallsun might have been upon her, but the winds seemed to already belong to Frostfall. It would grow colder soon - she could already feel it in her bones.
