The sun was low in the air, resting on the watery horizon. The rays of orange, gold, and red put on a beautiful show and Caleb had come to watch it. He had yet to actually watch a Helovian sunset, and though he wasn't all that sure how it was different from sunsets in other places he was still excited to see it. At his side, a shivering Henrietta ripped his attention from the setting sun before him. Gazing down at his bonded, he knew what she wanted without even asked, not that she could even answer yet if he had asked. Sinking slowly to the ground, he offers the baby girl a spot to curl up the him next to his left flank, under an ebony wing. She was quick to push herself against his purr, a sort of content sigh leaving her inky lips. Soon enough, her shivering subsided and all he felt were her ribby sides grow and shrink with exhales and inhales. Sleep had fallen on Henrietta, though Caleb was wide awake, spotless orbs once again focused on the scene unfolding in front of him.

Glancing down the shore for a quick moment, he sees there is no one around, no one to see the sunset. Perhaps watching sunsets was not something Helovians do. Honestly, watching sunsets is something tough and burly stallions don't usually do, but here's Caleb- watching and enjoying. The rhythmic sounds of waves thrusting against the shore is a sort of melody to him, the salt in the air clinging to his coat for life, the sand mingling with his thick Frostfall coat. No doubt, there were a myriad of scents that plastered him, from mares and stallions, different woodsy scents, certainly dirt was present. It was as if Caleb had no specific smell. He smelt of everywhere and everyone, but maybe tha wasn't such a bad thing.
