As you look around you, everything covered in the whiteness that you had grown accustomed to, you have no idea how you got here, much less where you really are. Despite this, your only protest is a dismissive shrug of your shoulders, a sigh pressing through tight lips as you pick yourself up off the ground, your mind hazy with something you can only assume is from sleep. You don't remember that, either, but again it is met with dismissal, nothing feeling particularly out of place. Your limbs creak from the cold as you meander through the leafless trees, your eyes bouncing from one naked branch to the next, head bobbing to the sound of crunching snow underfoot.

It is hard to place the last time you had felt so okay, your heart humming a tune of contentment, fluttering with an excitement you cannot place. This you choose not to question as well, instead curving your lips in to a smile, your leisurely pace picking up into a giddy jog. You could swear that a laugh escaped you then, reverberating through the bare trees, the emptiness that encompasses you, void of any life (besides the trees, you muse) that you can readily see. Or maybe it wasn't you, but before long the sound that you thought you heard fades from your immediate attention, your movement interrupted by the most peculiar object.

Linens hang from a ceiling constructed of kaleidoscope colors, a breath of fresh life against the stark white of winter’s slumber. You gawk, curious eyes drinking in every inch of its stone face, the intricate designs between the shades of color. You are fairly certain there is much about this place that is lost on you, and after a moment you turn from it, examining first the stream half-choked with frost, followed by the open patch of snow at your feet, which forces yet another grin. Instantly your nose is in it, shoving the snow this way and that, your hoof pushing the other side into a crude pile.

It is really nothing more than a lump, but off you are again, grabbing two pebbles from the riverbank and placing them in the middle of the front, twigs from the floor and shoving them carefully into the top of it, the backside, and one more stick to draw a lopsided smile beneath the stones. It is only when you feel that you have shoved enough sticks in to it that you jump backwards, marveling at your clearly ingenious piece of work with a satisfied hmph.

"The inside of your mind must be a terrible place...
______________________________________________________________

The sun's bright light was white-hot, and seared her pupils with an angry intensity. Hazy eyes blinked as the Gold adjusted to her surroundings, vision blurring and distorting awkwardly. She knew not where she was; all she truly aware of was that she was laying on the ground somewhere, legs tentatively tucked underneath her body as she attempted to mentally ground herself. Off the bat, there was no feeling of nature .. no cold snow, no sticky ice-covered ground. It made no sense; everything just existed.

Head, heavy with what she assumed was a previously deep sleep, was lifted, and stinging eyes squinted at the surroundings. But as quickly as the feeling of drunk 'sleep' had apparently encompassed her body, it faded. Despite the obvious lack of frigid temperatures, the area was indeed covered in snow... a confused flick of her ear was all that was given in response, however, for something felt so very off.

Her chest felt light, and stomach buzzing; her skin tingled, and she felt light on gold-footed hooves. The royal mare hopped quite adeptly up to her feet in one quick, fluid motion, body shaken to attempt to remove whatever snow had laid upon her skin during her rest. But, to her shock, she glanced back and noticed that there had been no icy particles that had come to rest on her coat. She had to of been out for hours, and she wasn't under any particularly hardy cover. How could the snow just... not fall on me like that, but fall everywhere else? As soon as that thought graced the Gold's mind, it was dismissed with a passive snort that flared from her nostrils. Silly.

As the Gold stretched her legs, she felt a warmth grow, starting in her chest. It was an odd sensation, to say the least.. but it wasn't quite unpleasant. On top of that, nothing felt unpleasant; which, even to Cosette, was quite odd. She never quite remembered being so happy... so airy, so free. Did something happen, that she was blissfully unaware of, to make her this way?

Oh well!

With a feeling of freedom, she explored her surroundings. Golden eyes looked to all the trees surrounding her; as barren as they were of leaves, they were still so very alive. The thought of life made her smile. Hooves took her aimlessly; she went everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Time seemed to pass quickly, and not at all, while she was in this odd forest. But even though her wanderings felt like they were getting her nowhere, she eventually stumbled upon some large, foreign structure. Quickly, she came to a halt, head tilted up as she stared at the massive pillars and arch. She inched forward, entering between two of the pillars, and staring up at the magnificent ceiling that reflected the vivid rainbows of nature.

It was then, that something caught the corner of her eye. Head dropped, and she stared across, to the other side of the pillars. There was a mare she recognized quite clearly, but for some reason a name never graced her thoughts. In confusion, the Gold mare cocked her head to the right, ears twitching forward as she stared at the mare quite intensely. She knew her, but at the same time felt like she didn't. Where did she know her from...? The thought eluded her like a graceful gazelle escaped the hungry mouth of a predator; but like always, the gazelle would tire and fall. The information would come to her... eventually, she was sure.

Under normal circumstances, Cosette would never be particularly 'happy' to see someone. But she felt a tingling in her limbs; an unexplainable feeling that made her want to speak. Why was she so joyful? Truth be told, not only did she have no idea... she wasn't even particularly aware of her joy. It was just there, like everything else.

As Cosette would, she started to move towards the familiar mare across the way. As she went to step out of the stone pillars, something else caught her eye; turning her head to her left, she noticed a tattered old tophat - scrunched, beaten up, and left for dead - tucked between the supports that held up the rotunda. The Gold felt an inexplicable urge, and moved quickly towards it, the brim snatched between her lips. Just as quickly as she grabbed the odd and quite unfamiliar item, she swung around with some kick to her step, and passed over the ground that distanced herself and the antlered mare. Eyes wandered to the odd little creature she was making in the snow, and instantly she knew what to do with the odd item tucked between her lips!

Head was slowly lowered, and the hat was set neatly on the "head" of the snowhorse. Ears perked up, oddly proud of her contribution, and she looked towards the silver-haired mare. "Hello!" she quipped, quite happily.

// ooc - playing her while she's so pleasant is.... weird :P So sorry for the long time it took me to reply, though! I've been quite sick again, so this past week has sucked :(

"Listen to her bitch out loud" ... and then internally
