Have you ever noticed how every hurricane gets its name from a girl like this?
You're gonna wish you had a storm warning; you're gonna wish you had a sign.

Her hooves touched the ground she was born in once again. She knew all too well where she was, a princess might have left her land for some time, but she still knows where everything is at. Her aqua eyes glanced around the trees and she felt like a child again. Her lean legs stepped through each tree as she wondered deeper and deeper into the Threshold. She left the land for a long time, but something brought her back like bug to a light. Maybe it was the fact that the grass was not greener on the other side of the fence, and she did not find her prince. That was not the point anymore, all that mattered is she was home. In this god damn forest, the sooner she got out of here the better. Her well-kept pelt glistened under the sun with soft warming highlights shinning when she walked under the sun beams of the forest. She took a deep breath letting the air from Helovia flood her muzzle once again. How wonderful it was to be home.

She continued on wondering where her sister was, of how she missed Ru, but she would never admit that of course. She was too proud of who she is to say that she actually loved her sister, but she really did. Ru was her second half and she missed her sister always being there, no matter how annoying she really was. Her teal eyes glimmered as she thought back to all the memories they had together then she felt the nudge of her small Cerndyr followed besides her staying very close to her every step. Her smile looked down at the beautiful creature, its horns reached to the sky with ornate configurations. ‘Tin we are finally home ’ She looked to her companion as Tin smiled back to her. They continued along together as her mind still wondered about her sister, where she was now, and what has she accomplished.

Her thoughts got broken when she stepped in a deep mud puddle. Her long hair drug through the top of it as her light hoof was not soiled and dark brown. She snorted and jumped up in the air ”God damn mud… Always messing thing up and ruining my beautiful coat.”She was no longer presentable to any one let alone a prince. Tin gazed at the mess and looked back to her ‘You still look beautiful to me’ She looked at her little deer and smiled nuzzling its shoulder. Her companion really made her happy, she was never alone with her little storm following where ever she went. Raeden found a small creek she could wash off in. Her light female form walked into the running water to rid her beautiful pelt of the substance that soiled it. Once she was done she stepped out of the creek nodding to Tin as they continued through the Threshold. She was set on trying to find her sister, her long lost friend that she missed dearly, but would the feeling be neutral… That is one thing she was not sure of, and really didn’t know the answer to. She had left her sister on a bad note, and she had been gone for so long. How would Ru react to her return?

Having grown bored of hanging around the herd yet again the dark girl decided that it was time to go do something more productive rather than standing in her cave staring out into nothingness. While most of the others seemed to have gathered the odd trinket here and there to as they called it "decorate" she had found nothing worthwhile to bring home that would be of any value. Perhaps if she was more sociable there would be a reason to put more effort into it but the only one to ever see those walls was herself so she could really care less if they were pretty or not. Emerging from the darkness she had to squint as the sun decided to blind her momentarily as her optics adjusted to the brightness. Stretching forward on her front hooves she felt the muscles along her sides and back slowly loosen up from her slumber before she switched her weight to her hind legs. Once satisfied she lunged forward to throw herself off the cliff's edge as her wings sprang open to catch the wind and propel her up towards the clouds. Perhaps the threshold could provide her with something interesting today she mused turning her body to head in that direction.

Sticking to the skies rather than walking through the trees she glided just above the treetops as her eyes scanned the grounds below for anything of interest. This was the easy way to search for anyone lost below in the green tangled mess for she really didn't have to spare much energy to do so. She could never get how those of equine blood stood having to do all the work the old fashioned way and not even have the faintest inkling of those superior to them. Then again if they had never experienced what it was like to have her unicorn's ancestor's blood flooding your veins they really were just naive not knowing what they were missing. While it was fun to remind them on occasion she had mostly given up trying to be social with them given their many flaws. She knew damn well how it felt to be flawed yet otherwise a perfect specimen of what she should be. Her mother had cursed her with these wings by betraying everything they had stood for and what they had always been. She was the despicable creature created from that spawning and she would never forgive her mother for her betrayal she thought snapping her jaws in anger as her ears pinned back to her skull. They would pay for it one way or another.

A flash of colour against the greenery was enough to distract her mind and refocus it to the task at hand. Circling back just to make sure that she was not seeing things she kept to the shadows so as not to be seen. A short while later the girl's hooves touched down into the green grass as silently as she could tucking her wings back along her sides. Shaking her windblown mane from her face she headed out to intercept the pair she had observed from above but prior. Slipping quietly through the trees it didn't take long before the pair was in her sights so she drew to a halt tucking herself off the beaten trail to observe them for a moment to get a feel for what they were like. Raising a eye as the girl leapt up into the air over a little bit of mud, seriously? Looks like she had located herself a little princess well this should be interesting. " Mud comes off don't fret yourself." She commented still standing stalk still in the shadows a moment longer before emerging to show herself before the girl believed herself to be crazy. "This time of year brings lots of mud so you outta get used to it at some point or another."

Like she was really one to talk about a little mud considering if she got it on herself she was washing it off the first chance she got. She couldn't care less about being covered in it as long as she could remove it. She took pride in her appearance and made sure that every part of her was to her utmost perfection not that she would admit it though. "My name is Rhea of the Aurora Basin. Welcome to Helovia." Figuring a formal introduction was best before anything else she accomplished that with a warm smile before continuing. "I do know a great way to get rid of the mud if your interested though. Back home there is minimal mud as the ground never really completely thaws. We also have hot springs to help take any off that accumulates from out here. Does it sound like something you might be interested in?"

her delicate steps carried her a bit further, then there was a sound. Tin rushed to stand in front of her to help protect his friend. His large antlers twisted with beautiful branches, there would normally be a few flowers blooming but in the threshold there was no such beauty. Maybe the creature was her prince charming, wow that was extremely fast if it was, but the sound of the softened voice she knew right away it was another female. She told her not to fret about the mud that had stained her light colored pelt, but does this mare not know that no handsome man wants a messy looking lady. Think about it, if a man is upper class and rules over the kingdom he does not want a filthy lady by his side. He wants a beautiful cleaned mare to show off, not a hag. Her teal eyes glanced over the mare as she stepped from the shadows wondering how this encounter will go. Raeden turned her horned skull and watched as the girl continued to speak. Clearly she had never ran across this girl in her travels of her past times in Helovia. The girl never questioned the deer companion Tin walking by her side, but of well maybe she was brand new to this world.

When she spoke of the Basin Raeden just smiled, she knew of this place already. She was not really wanting to join that herd right now, she wanted to find her sister first. Oh i know the Basin all too well, it is a frozen Icy land surrounded by mountains. Let me guess that is where you call home? I should have know right away by the feeling of ice you give off. I went on a trip awhile ago, and i am just now returning to Helovia. Oh just ignore Tin, he is very protective. She nuzzled her little deer as he walked back to her side eyeing the other mare. Raeden giggled slightly then the mare spoke her name and confirmed that she was from the Basin. Then she asked if she would like to join her with her travels back to the Basin I am not sure if i was looking for a herd just yet, but my name is Raeden and like i said this is Tin. raeden chuckled slightly as Tin walked closer to the mare trying to detect a threat or not.

Although she had a someone standing in front of her all she could think about it Ru, what was she doing now. She even wondered where their mother was, but that was not her concern really. She just wanted her twin back, although she might have done things that she regrets she still loves Ru with all her heart and would give the world to her if she could. Her thoughts wondered as she went to speak Do you... Then she stopped. Rhea wouldn't know where her twin was, she couldn't know. She smiled softly looking back to the mare quickly Sorry i was just Rambling on, dont mind me it has been a large trip.

While waiting for the palomino to answer her rather drawn out question her gaze moves to the deer like creature standing before her. Does it really believe that it would have a chance to do any real damage? One quick kick could send the thing to its grave or if that fails a shattered neck would always prevail she mused with a small smirk. What was it about this creature that made it want to protect one twice its size when there was a slim chance it would succeed? This was not the first time that she had observed other creatures following around equine based species to the same resulting protectiveness. Whatever was binding them to their chosen host she could not figure out for there was no real benefit to the pairs being together that she could see. Perhaps is was some form of terror holding their loyalty? Not wishing to put too much thought into the unsolved question she pulled her eyes back to the mare as words finally gave answers.

Nodding politely as introductions were made she tried to figure out what the girl meant by the feeling of ice she gave off. It didn't offend her in the slightest but it was a rather weird thing to say to a perfect stranger, especially one who was offering a safe place to stay. Well if she really wanted an icy impression she could give her one but she probably would not like the resulting effects. Shattering objects was easy but freezing only partially so as not to cause damage... ya that was likely not going to happen even if she tried. Deciding to not start leaving a trail of bodies throughout the threshold she quickly dismissed that idea. If she wasn't careful people might mistake her for a murderer without her actually intending to be one. Then again they could also relate the bodies back to the Moon Goddess and think that she was at it yet again. Interesting...but so not worth the effort as it would give no satisfaction.

"Its nice to meet you both." She replied kindly which was really the complete opposite as to what she was actually thinking. Despite her antisocial inner demons she had many years of practice to master the art of deception to come across as completely honest. Catching the hesitation as Raeden spoke she started wondering what it was she was trying to say but couldn't spit the words out. While she could read expressions with some accuracy she as no mind reader so either spit it out or don't mention it in the first place. "Something else bothering you?"She asked speculatively with a slight tilt of her head allowing her eyes to sweep over the girl's frame once more looking for any signs of what might be bothering her. "Even if you do not wish to join us in the Basin you can come rest and regain your strength if you want. As you said its been a long journey surely you must be exhausted. The Basin is at least safer than certain things you might meet out here as of lately." Thinking back to the strange occurances over the last couple weeks she wouldn't put it past anything else that slipped through the portals to wind up here.

Her Teal eyes watched over this mare as she pondered in her own mind what this girl could be thinking. She watched as Rhea looked over her small deer, it seemed like she was questioning something, but she never spoke her thoughts out loud. Tin watched the mare very closely with soft turns of his heavily antlered skull with her every movement. There was something about this mare that seemed hidden and protected he voiced his concern that she should not be trusted though a splotchy mind speech. This was enough for Raeden to understand where the buck was coming from. She reassured Tin that she had a pretty good judgement with others, and there was no threat right now.

Her eyes went back to the mare as she thought about going to the Basin for the night. Helovia has changed greatly since she has been there, so who knows what lurks out in the shadows. Her golden body glistened with every flicker of sun light as her long tail flowed in the soft wind. She would stay the night there for one night then find her sister, and her family. This was the biggest thing that needed to happen, and well if her prince just so happened to show up... well that would be grand. As the thoughts crossed her mind she began to wonder if she would ever find her true love. She had been searching for so long what if prince charming was just a myth, and she was the naive mare to believe true love really existed.

Well i guess we can go there for the night, or until I am able to get all my strength back. Then we will be able to go about our way . She smiled softly back with a sweet honey filled smile. She was grateful that the mare was offering them a place to stay. She would have usually said no and gone about her day, but she was looking after her only companion Tin. He seemed worn out and wanting a place to rest, she had to do what was best for him. Oh nothing at all.. It has just been a long trip, you know and I just need to find a old friend. So I just have a lot on my mind. She smiled again a slightly weaker smile like she was worn out slightly. Tin walked over and nudged the mare encouraging her to strive on.

So far her encounter had been relatively boring or interesting, it all depended on the way you looked at it. The boring aspect was standing there carrying on idle conversation but the interesting aspects definitely had to do with the strange little deer and its obvious connection to the mare. While she understood many of the complex emotions that existed upon this planet it was some of the simpler ones that she just could not figure out. Love, family, happiness, friendship.. None of these had ever really affected her in anyway in the years she had been alive. It was hard to understand things that you had never experienced for it was so much easier to build up barriers to protect yourself from the reality. Her family had never been a family, no one had ever loved her, no one cared that she even existed which might have thrown her equilibrium out of balance from an early age. It is believed that children are born neutral to the ways of the world and it is by our experiences that tip the scales between darkess and the light, or so she had heard. To think back on her life the only thing she could remember is the intense hatred and anger that had been there for what seemed like an eternity. Perhaps this was the reason for how she was today, it was the only way she knew to protect herself.

Turning her head away to avoid the penetrating stare of the deer thing she instead focused on what Raeden had to say as she began speaking once again. With the previous answers she had been able to draw from the pair it was a surprise when they agreed to return to the Basin with her. It may not be permenant but at least she was trying to do something nice for a change instead of plotting revenge on someone or worse. Shifting her weight she flicked her ears back as the burns upon her back and hindquarters made their presence known. The results of her last attempted good deed , given to her by no other than those she had been battling with. No matter the circumstances there was never a good reason to trust another to have your back for they were the ones most likely to stab it. "You two may stay however long you wish to." She replied hiding her discomfort with a welcoming smile. She could be nice when she tried to be but sometimes it was hard to revert to old habits.

Nodding as the mare offered a reason for her earlier pause she didn't push the subject further. Though she wasn't exactly sure why she was concerned about it in the first place. In the moments silence between the trio it was her inner curiosity that spiked still wanting to know more about who the girl was searching for. This was the very reason she had become pretty much addicted to puzzles. Each and every piece of information that was left out always seemed to bug her until she eventually had to find out more. In this instant it might actually work out considering if Raeden had lived here before she wouldn't know the new land. "I don't mean to pry but who are you searching for? "She asked curiosity finally getting the best of her. "Perhaps I might know of him or her and could point you in the right direction?
